Samus became even more restless.

The enormous black snake's body writhed wildly, crashing against the glass cage, its scarlet vertical pupils filled with savagery.

"It's gotten bigger!"

The snake, wreathed in black mist, grew larger and larger amidst its frantic roars!

The people retreated in fear.

"Kill it! Kill it!"

A triumphant glint flashed in Shen Xiya's eyes as she anxiously exclaimed, "Sister! What are you still hesitating for?!"

"Are we really going to abandon so many of our people?"

Shen Zhiyi glanced at the terrified faces below, her gaze settling on Shen Xiya's face.

Her eyes were cold.

He slowly raised his bow and arrow.

The icy arrows, gleaming with a cold light, were aimed at the cage like chilling blades of death.

Samus froze abruptly.

A sliver of clear golden light flashed in his crimson eyes, but the expression within was one of utter despair and disbelief.

She...want to kill him?

Like those people, we want him dead...?

"roar--!"

Samus let out a deafening roar.

Hatred and despair erupted like magma, causing his massive body to swell once more.

Even the edges of the black scales gleamed with a dark red light.

The cage was violently struck, and cracks spread.

What's terrifying is that the glass cage didn't break. Instead, it grew taller and bigger as the black snake's body grew, trapping it firmly in place!

Suddenly, someone in the crowd shouted:

"It's Her Highness the Second Princess!"

"She's protecting us! This cage is her specialty—imprisonment!"

Shen Zhiyi squinted and looked closely, her expression one of great shock.

Turning around, he angrily rebuked Shen Xiya: "What are you doing?!"

"Your energy is unstable. Once you can't keep up with Samus's berserk speed, the cage will explode many times over!"

"When the energy dissipates, not only the plaza, but the entire Ice Crystal City will be destroyed!"

"Chen Xiya, immediately deactivate your talent!"

Fine beads of sweat appeared on Shen Xiya's forehead, but a triumphant smile lingered in her eyes, making her expression appear somewhat distorted.

"Disable talent?"

"Heh... Sister, are you ordering me around?"

Her gaze swept coldly over the people in the square, and she sneered, "What do I care about the lives of these lackeys?"

"It is understandable that they would make some sacrifices for the safety of the entire empire."

Her eyes flashed with disgust, and she activated even more energy.

She doesn't care about these people.

She just wants Samuel dead!

"Stubborn fool!" Shen Zhiyi slapped her across the face!

She hit hard, and Shen Xiya covered her face and staggered to the ground.

"You hit me...?"

"How dare you hit me?!"

Shen Zhiyi didn't look at her. She drew the bowstring taut, and the cold light on the ice arrow surged!

"Whoosh—!"

The arrow pierced the air.

A dazzling stream of icy blue light shot straight toward the cage!

Instead of heading in the direction of Samus, it precisely pierced a node at the top of the cage.

That's precisely where the cage's energy is weakest!

Bang--

Boom!!!

The enormous glass cage shattered with a crash, turning into countless shimmering powders that fell in a flurry.

Shen Xiya suffered a backlash from her talent and suddenly spat out a mouthful of blood.

"The cage is broken!"

"The black snake is out! Run!"

The people were immediately thrown into panic and scattered in all directions.

Shen Zhiyi gripped the bow and rushed toward the giant snake body shrouded in black mist.

"The eldest princess has gone to the black snake!"

"Is she out of her mind?!"

Ignoring the chaos around her and unfazed by the black and red aura surrounding Samus, Shen Zhiyi stretched out her hand in front of him.

"Samus! Look at me!"

She, so small, exuded tiny amounts of green energy, which seeped into his cold scales little by little.

Like a gentle stream, it slowly flowed into his raging mind and body.

“Samus, be quiet and look at me.” Her voice was soft, yet it carried a strange, calming power.

The giant serpent's crimson vertical pupils gradually faded from crimson, returning to pure gold.

"I will not abandon you." She looked into his eyes and said, word by word, "Trust me, cling to me."

She raised her wrist and commanded in a soft voice, "Samus, entwine me."

Samus was startled.

She didn't intend to kill him...

She came to heal him, to save him...

Samus's heart softened.

Its enormous body rapidly shrank, becoming a small black shadow that obediently wrapped around her wrist.

Shen Zhiyi's tense expression relaxed.

He crossed his arm, raised it in front of him, and gently tapped the little black snake's head.

"good."

Samus, unable to control himself, gently rubbed his head against her fingertips.

It coiled quietly around her wrist, like a snake-shaped bracelet.

Shen Zhiyi turned around and shouted to the panicked crowd, "The crisis has been resolved, everyone, don't be afraid!"

"I hereby swear that I will never easily abandon any of my subjects!"

Even a berserk orc!

In this world, the proportion of orcs is far higher than that of ordinary people.
