Chapter 200 Renovation

"This... there's actually a place like this in City C..."

Aikalen followed Hera slowly inside, looking at the surroundings with disbelief in her eyes.

Floran gave a soft snort, got up from the ground, and helped his three companions up as well.

“There are plenty of places like this in this city. Our warehouse is considered to be in a relatively good environment. We used to sleep under bridges.”

Hearing his words, Aikaren was completely stunned.

'No way, can things really get this bad here?!'

Hera ignored them, feeling very uncomfortable with the environment.

He took out his phone, sent the location to Tote, and told him to buy some daily necessities.

Boss, I have no money.

This line of text appeared on Tote's chat interface.

Hera stared at the line of text, her brain starting to work.

He turned to look at Aycaren, who was still in a daze, and patted his face.

Aikalen snapped awake, and after a moment of confusion, she instantly realized what was happening.

"H-what's wrong, boss?"

"Go and buy some furniture and household items; this place is too messy."

Hera glanced at the money pouch in Ekalen's hand, then at the door. Her expressionless face was extremely cute and adorable in Ekalen's eyes.

"Okay, right away!"

Ekalen touched the face that Hera had slapped and hurriedly left.

After he left, only Hera and the four little kids remained at the scene.

The four children all moved closer together, their eyes fixed on Hera, their gazes filled with fear.

It's unclear whether it's Hera's expressionless face or the fact that Hera slapped him earlier.

They always thought Hera was terrifying.

Even Floran was a little scared, but he still protected the other three.

Seeing that Ekalen had completely left, Hera found a worn-out stool and sat down by herself.

Then he took out his phone and started researching.

Seeing that Hera was just sitting there looking at her phone and wasn't doing anything to them, the four children gradually began to relax.

However, they did not completely let their guard down and moved very cautiously.

Floran glanced at Hera, who was still engrossed in studying her phone, and quietly moved with the other three to the cabinet.

He tiptoed to open the cabinet door and took out a rusty iron box.

The four of them glanced at Hera again and then surrounded the iron box.

They opened the tin box, which was filled with scattered coins.

Most of them are one or two yuan coins, and only a few are paper bills with slightly higher denominations.

But they all looked wrinkled, and it was hard to tell how long they had been stored.

They gently placed the two hundred dollars in their hands into the box.

Looking at the brand-new coins, they smiled at each other and then closed the lid again.

After putting the iron box back, they turned around and realized that Hera had been looking at them at some point.

The four children were startled and quickly stood in front of the cabinet.

Hera stood up and walked up to them.

Do you usually keep your money here?

Hera glanced at the cabinet, tilted her head slightly, and asked the group.

Floran swallowed hard, mustered his courage, and said, "So what! Do you want to steal it?"

“No.” Hera shook her head honestly.

"Then why are you asking so many questions..." Floran was a little confused by Hera.

Hera sat back down on the bench, looking calm. "Curious."

"..."

Now the four of them dared not move. They stood still, glancing at Hera every now and then, afraid that Hera might do something to them.

Hera ignored them and just kept studying her phone.

About half an hour later, a renovation team's truck and a furniture moving truck stopped at the warehouse entrance.

Floran and the other three cautiously went out to investigate.

When Sasha and Beibei saw two large trucks they had never seen before parked in front of their house, they panicked.

Floran stared warily at the people in the car.

Only Xiao Jie knew what the two cars were for, and he explained it to the others.

The car door opened, and a group of workers in work clothes got out.

Also coming down were Aycaren, who had been summoned there, as well as Toth and Will.

Thoth glanced at the warehouse, then saw Hera inside, nodded slightly, and said to the staff,

"This is it. Just change the door and move the furniture in."

The staff looked at it, and although they seemed a little surprised, they still started the installation as Thoth instructed.

The four children were kindly led aside by Ekalen.

Thoth was directing, while Hera squatted there watching like a child.

The rusty iron gate was quickly removed and replaced with a new one, and the furniture inside was also completely renewed.

The old furniture was moved outside and will be dealt with later.

"Okay, sir, we're done."

The worker dusted off his hands, looked at Tote, and then slowly extended his hand, while gesturing with his eyes.

Thoth turned to look at Ekalen.

Aikaren hurriedly ran over, lowered his head, and took out a tip to hand to the staff member.

After accepting the tip, the staff member smiled, said goodbye to the group, and drove away.

Aykaren breathed a sigh of relief; having so many strangers working here had made him feel uneasy for quite some time.

"Alright, let's go inside and take a look at where we'll be staying from now on."

Thoth bowed slightly and gestured to Hera, and Will, standing beside him, followed suit.
