Chapter 30 The First Day in the Special Investigation Team (Part 1)

"Take this, Hera! Ha!" Star Blue, wearing Stitch pajamas, stood on the bed and threw a pillow at Hera on the next bed.

Hera was unable to dodge in time and was instantly killed by a single blow to the head.

"Hahahaha! One-hit kill! Come on, Hera, let's continue the battle for another three hundred rounds!" After saying that, he picked up a pillow and jumped onto Hera's bed, starting to unleash his furious attack.

Hera, dressed in Patrick Star pajamas, sat blankly on the bed as Star Blue relentlessly attacked her with a pillow.

I don’t quite understand the meaning behind her actions, but at least I know that Xinglan didn’t really intend to attack.

“It’s time to sleep, you two…” Feng Xuan pushed open the door and entered. As soon as he entered, he saw Xing Lan and Hera having a pillow fight. He clicked his tongue lightly.

"Xinglan, Hera is already stupid, and you still hit her. If you don't let her get hit even more..." Before he could finish speaking, Fengxuan was hit on the head with a pillow.

"You audacious scoundrel! Sneaking into the girls' dormitory in the middle of the night, do you have designs on my Hera?!" Xinglan pulled the stunned Hera into her arms, watching Fengxuan, who was being hit by a pillow, warily at the door.

"..."

Feng Xuan removed the pillow from his face, his lips twitching wildly.

"Alright, alright then I won't disturb you two little darlings any longer, go to sleep." Then he closed the door and turned on the light.

The room was plunged into darkness in an instant.

"Hey! What does he mean? I haven't even gotten back to my bed yet!" Xinglan stared at the door with her bright eyes.

"Hey~ Hera, in that case, we'll just have to make do and sleep together~" He then hugged Hera and crawled into bed with her.

"Wow~ Hera, you're so warm! Will you warm my bed from now on?"

Hera: ?_?

"Hehe, just kidding, go to sleep."

yawn~

I'm really exhausted today.

Xinglan held Hera in her arms, closed her eyes that shone brightly in the darkness, and slowly drifted off to sleep.

Hera saw that she was asleep, so she closed her eyes as well and began to lie there in a daze.

5:30 a.m.

In the dark dormitory, a pair of bright eyes suddenly opened.

She gently released her grip on Hera and then slowly stood up.

When she turned to look at Hera, she found Hera looking at her with peach-colored eyes.

?_?

Xinglan's delicate body trembled, and then her face instantly turned embarrassed.

"Haha, Hera, you're up too! What a coincidence! You go back to sleep, I'm just going to the bathroom. Bye~" She quickly changed out of her pajamas and awkwardly walked out.

Xinglan gently pushed the door open, peeked out with half her head, and then tiptoed out.

Good morning, Miss Xinglan.

Xinglan, who had just closed the door, was startled and quickly turned around to see Si Xiaobei, who was wearing panda pajamas, brushing his teeth and looking at her.

"Uh, good morning... Good morning. What are you going to do?" Xinglan greeted Si Xiaobei with her hands behind her back, stuttering a little.

Si Xiaobei seemed a little sleepy, rubbing her eyes and saying groggily:

"I just woke up and was getting ready to wash up and change. Miss Xinglan, are you getting ready to go to training? You're so diligent."

Xinglan trembled, not expecting that he could see through her true purpose at a glance.

Xinglan sighed and finally chose to admit it.

"Ah, yeah, getting ready to train. After all, talent is nothing compared to hard work!" With that, he patted Si Xiaobei's head and headed towards the basement with high spirits.

"Goodbye, Miss Xinglan." Si Xiaobei waved, yawned, and then went back to washing up.

As Xinglan passed by a doorway, she seemed to faintly hear some strange noises coming from inside.

She leaned closer to listen, somewhat curious.

"Fuck you! You idiot, you think you can fool me?! I could put a dog on the keyboard and stomp on it a couple of times and it would play better than you! You..."

"Uh..." From the sounds inside, Xinglan could roughly tell what was happening inside.

She silently turned her head away and continued walking towards the basement.

Although a few small lights were installed on the stairs leading down to the basement, the entire stairwell still looked incredibly dark.

Xinglan arrived at the basement and looked at the empty space, along with the few training facilities illuminated by the few lighthouses. She couldn't help but spread her arms and shout.

"I'm here!"

"Ah!" A scream came from not far from the basement.

Liu Xiaogang, wearing a black vest, walked out from behind the simulated unfinished building and looked at Xinglan with a bewildered expression.

Xinglan stared at Liu Xiaogang, who was still sweating profusely, with his arms still raised high.

For a moment, they stared at each other blankly, and the air fell into a deathly silence.

"Um, are you here for training?" Finally, Liu Xiaogang spoke first, breaking the awkward atmosphere.

"Um."

"Then why did you yell?"

"Uh..." Xinglan's cheeks began to turn slightly red, and she didn't know how to answer Liu Xiaogang's question.

"Hey, don't worry about all the details! All you need to know is that I'm here for training." Xinglan waved her hand, then put her hands on her hips, though her cheeks were still a little red.

"..."

"Hey, why are you up so early to exercise too?" Xinglan quickly changed the subject when she saw the atmosphere was a bit awkward.

"Oh, I get up this early every day to train. Usually, the captain kicks me out of bed. I'm a little unaccustomed to him not being here these past few days."

"I see~ Hmph!" Xinglan nodded, then took a straight sword from the weapon rack next to her.
