You Said We Should Break Up, Now You're Crying When I Leave?

"We should break up. I don't want to delay my studies anymore."

When Chu Yang preemptively said these words, the campus belle was stunned. Wasn't this what she was supposed to...

Chapter 161 You went to see that woman again?

"Zhou Xianglun is here to hold a fan meeting?"

Zhou Yang's eyes widened, her face saying, "Are you kidding me?"

Chu Yang wiped the wine off his face, licked his lips, and calmly said, "Do I look like I'm joking?"

“It’s so similar, it’s uncanny.” Zhou Yang still didn’t believe it: “The little king of the music scene in Taiwan, three albums that topped the sales charts, do you know how high his appearance fee is? No, I don’t even believe you can contact him. Even if you could invite him, we can afford the appearance fee. Would he come to perform in our little bar?”

She handed Chu Yang two tissues: "Um, is it too late for me to break the contract now?"

"It's too late. Just wait for me to take you flying." Chu Yang wiped his face with a tissue and smiled. "Since we're partners, I won't hide anything from you. Do you know what the company upstairs from me does?"

Zhou Yang thought for a moment: "I think I've heard you mention it before, is it an entertainment company?"

"To be precise, it's a music entertainment company with two main businesses. The first is to focus on the online streaming market, and the second is Zhou Xianglun."

Seeing her gradually changing expression, Chu Yang continued, "My older brother and I are the major shareholders of Alpha Music Company in Taiwan Province."

"Alpha?" Zhou Yang recognized the name, turned around and picked up a Zhou Xianglun record, flipped to the back and looked at it, then exclaimed in surprise, "Is this Zhou Xianglun's management company?"

“Yes.” Chu Yang nodded: “And one of the main businesses of my company is marketing Zhou Xianglun.”

"So, Zhou Xianglun can be considered an artist and singer under my management. Do you think I could get him to hold a fan meeting?"

"This..." Zhou Yang still found it unbelievable: "You mean, you're Zhou Xianglun's...boss?"

“He’s one of the bosses, but I have the final say on all his marketing in mainland China,” Chu Yang said.

"You decide everything?" Zhou Yang found this even more outrageous.

But his expression didn't seem like he was joking.

She took a sip of her drink to calm herself down, and was thinking about what to ask to confirm something.

But then Chu Yang took out his phone, dialed a number, and put it on speakerphone.

The call was quickly connected, and a voice with somewhat unclear pronunciation answered.

"Hello, Chairman Chu."

Zhou Yang was taken aback, feeling that the voice sounded somewhat familiar.

Chu Yang glanced at her and said, "Alan, how does it feel to drive the Ferrari?"

"That's awesome, so cool! I have to thank Chairman Chu," the person on the other end said excitedly.

Chu Yang smiled and asked, "How are the tour preparations going? Has Brother Xian set the dates yet?"

"It's settled..."

"Don't say anything yet, let me guess, is it the 28th, the Taipei Arena?"

"Chairman Chu, how did you know? We just finalized it today, and Brother Xian said he'd tell you tomorrow!"

“I know a lot more. When you come to the mainland, we’ll have a good chat. I’ll talk to Brother Xian about it. Let’s set a date in early October. I’ll prepare the venue and have a high-quality fan meeting.”

"Yes, Chairman Chu, I will follow your instructions."

"I'm really looking forward to hearing you sing up close."

"Then Chairman Chu will come to the Taipei Arena, and I'll reserve a ticket for you."

"No, I have to go to school. That's all for now. Contact me if you need anything."

After hanging up the phone, Chu Yang looked at Zhou Yang with a smile.

Zhou Yang blinked, then asked blankly, "That just now, it wasn't Zhou Xianglun, was it?"

"Um."

"I saw a news report online a few days ago that Zhou Xianglun was driving around in a brand new Ferrari. Did you buy that car for him?"

"Um."

"You can go to his concert anytime?"

"Um."

"He's coming here in early October, I mean, to our bar for a karaoke session?"

"Um."

Zhou Yang picked up his glass again, took a sip of wine, swallowed it, and then took a deep breath: "I still find it hard to believe."

Chu Yang: "..."

"You're Zhou Xianglun's boss, so why would you partner with my small, almost bankrupt bar? And you're a college student, aren't you?" Zhou Yang raised the key question.

Chu Yang shrugged: "If you still don't believe me, then I'm out of ideas."

"Let's talk about something more practical. Starting tomorrow, the bar will be renovated, and everything will be done according to my design. Is that alright?"

Zhou Yang thought for a moment, then nodded and asked, "What style do you want to decorate it in?"

Chu Yang smiled slightly: "Zhou Xianglun's style."

Zhou Yang: "..."

Half an hour later.

Chu Yang finished his last sip of wine, rubbed the chicken head, and stood up, saying, "That's about it. Have someone pack your things first. I'll contact the construction team. We don't have much time left; the renovation must be completed within half a month."

"So, the store won't be open tomorrow?" Zhou Yang's eyes lit up.

Chu Yang seemed to know what she was excited about and said, "Didn't I just say that the renovation would take half a month? What kind of shop are you going to open during the renovation?"

"I understand!" Zhou Yang said, opening his laptop and soon starting to type.

He finished with a look of anticipation.

Looking up, she saw that Chu Yang was still there and asked in surprise, "Why are you still here?"

Hearing this, Chu Yang actually decided not to leave. He sat down again and said casually, "Now I'm the owner of this bar. Can't I stay here if I want?"

Zhou Yang was speechless.

"Fine, fine, stay if you want. Wait, that accent of yours sounds familiar, doesn't it?"

Chu Yang was taken aback. He had just blurted out a sentence with a Northeastern accent without thinking. Could it be that he had revealed his true colors with just that one sentence?
