Yun Zhiyi always thought she was the fake young mistress who had taken another's place. After the real one returned, she held back in every way.
Only after being thrown into the mass grav...
Yu Shaolian struck the gong forcefully and shouted loudly.
"Let the feast begin!"
Everyone sat down again and immediately picked up their chopsticks, eagerly digging into the delicious food in front of them.
Jars of fruit wine brewed with spiritual water were lifted from the ground and filled into large bowls.
The aroma of food and wine filled the air, creating a joyful atmosphere.
This banquet is something these disciples will likely never forget.
The following day, the first day of the new year, Yun Zhiyi set off for Luoshui Palace.
Luoshui Palace is located on Qiuwu Mountain.
It was the dead of winter, and Qiuwu Mountain was already covered in snow.
She affixed a concealment talisman to her body, then took out her longsword and flew upwards on it.
The Luoshui Palace is located on the mountaintop; it is a very majestic and massive building.
She flew directly on her sword, circling above the Luoshui Palace, and finally hovered above the underground palace according to the terrain map given by Fu Yuanbo.
Then they chose a place to land and headed towards the main entrance.
The entrance to the underground palace was built in the palace where the master of Luoshui Palace lived.
Two disciples of Luoshui Palace stood at the entrance of the courtyard, chatting idly.
Yun Zhiyi swaggered past the two of them and entered the courtyard.
What comes into view is a large garden covered in white snow.
Opposite is a palace, with a row of palace doors under the corridor.
There were many servants sweeping snow in the courtyard.
Maids carrying trays walked back and forth in the corridor.
She arrived in half a day by flying on her sword, and she almost forgot that today was the real New Year.
The entire Luoshui Palace is bustling with activity right now.
The ground was covered in snow. She used a levitation spell to float down to the corridor, followed a group of maids through the corridor door, into another corridor, and into a grand hall.
This grand hall was the private bedroom of the master of Luoshui Palace.
The entrance to the underground palace is located in two places within the hall.
One of them is an empty hall on the left.
However, this entrance was initially quite noisy, with people stationed there at all times. Unless someone happened to be passing through, she would definitely be discovered if she opened it herself.
She sensed that the hall was quiet and no one was coming or going.
Another entrance is in the study of the Lord of Luoshui Palace.
She wandered through the rooms, searching one by one.
When they found the study, they discovered voices inside.
She stopped and listened carefully, and heard the Palace Mistress of Luoshui scolding her daughter.
However, she arrived at the very end, and the event ended after she had only listened to a couple of sentences.
Then the back door was opened, and Luo Shuixian ran out crying, covering her face.
Yun Zhiyi perked up and immediately darted inside as the door opened.
Just as she entered, the guards outside had already closed the door again.
The study was large. Yun Zhiyi glanced at it and walked towards the room on the left.
The door was open, and there was a presence inside. Stepping inside, one could see a woman dressed in fine clothes standing by a desk in the distance.
The woman looked to be in her early twenties or thirties, with stunning beauty and a cold, aloof demeanor.
However, his brows were now furrowed with deep weariness.
She sighed, turned around and went back to her desk, where she sat down to continue her official duties.
The entrance to the underground palace was right beneath her desk.
Yun Zhiyi could only wait for her to leave before she could make a move.
She decided to wander around the study to see if there were any useful clues related to demonic energy.
Unfortunately, these things can't be made public.
Even in the most secluded study, nothing of value was found.
They waited for more than two hours.
She didn't leave until it got dark and someone came to invite the Palace Master of Luoshui to host the New Year's banquet.
Yun Zhiyi breathed a sigh of relief after everyone had gone into the space to sleep for a while.
After she left, we waited for about half an incense stick's time to make sure there was no movement outside.
She walked to the table and, as Fu Yuanbo had instructed, touched and pressed under the table.
Suddenly, my index finger sank upwards.
Then the table slowly slid to one side, revealing a square opening just big enough for one person to get down.
There is another stone staircase below.
She probed her spiritual senses inward but found nothing unusual, so she continued to float downwards to avoid leaving any trace.
The long stone steps descend to a height of at least a hundred meters.
Below the steps was a stone door with a mechanism.
She pressed her fingers on the four corners of the stone gate.
Something protrudes from the stone gate, forming the shape of a chessboard.
She tapped one of the chess pieces with her fingertip and moved it to a position a few squares below.
A soft clicking sound rang out.
The stone gate slowly moved inward, then shifted horizontally to the right.
She drifted into the doorway and saw a long corridor.
They're quite cautious.
The passageway is paved with bluestone, and every two meters, there is an iron figurine on each side, all of them made of black iron with flying apsara hairstyles.
Above the iron figure is a phoenix holding a candlestick.
After walking about 200 meters, we arrived at a three-way intersection.
There is a stone gate at each intersection.
Yun Zhiyi originally intended to choose the rightmost door, as Fu Yuanbo had suggested.
This door leads to the underground palace altar.
However, looking at the other two doors, she pondered for a moment.
After a slight hesitation, she left a spiritual imprint on the door.
Then the door on the right was opened.
The door opened, and there was another set of stone steps leading down.
This time it wasn't that deep; I landed at about thirty meters.
Walk a few dozen steps further along the passageway, and you'll see a small archway.
After passing through the small archway, the view suddenly opened up.
What comes into view is a very vast area.
The blood-red altar in the center of the venue was particularly eye-catching.
The place where she was standing was about ten meters above the ground below.
On the opposite side, or rather, all around, there are identical archways.
