You Were Told to be a Bodyguard, Not to Seduce the Employer

Li Changfeng, the King of Assassins, is entrusted by his master to protect a wealthy young lady. However, he is met with rejection, and the two begin a battle of wits. What kind of sparks will fly ...

Chapter 17 in less than five minutes!

Li Changfeng had noticed him long ago. Before he even stopped the car, he saw the man hiding in a corner, looking around furtively.

They just kept quiet and everything remained the same, otherwise how could that ugly thing have gotten even a little closer?

To put it another way, Li Changfeng was deliberately taken hostage.

"Brother, blame your bad luck for offending the wrong person." The man squinted and spat.

"Big brother, are you one of Lai San's men?"

"You dare call me 'Lai San'?" the man snapped.

"I should send you on your way. Remember to keep your eyes open in your next life; not everyone is someone you can mess with."

"Huh? Lai San?" Li Changfeng looked behind him and uttered a question.

The man glanced at it subconsciously.

That one glance gave Li Changfeng an opportunity.

With a precise grappling move, the man's joint was gripped, and with a forceful pull of his right hand, a cracking sound rang out as the man screamed and dropped his gun.

At the same time, his left foot struck, kicking the knee.

Li Changfeng twisted his waist, and the man knelt on the ground, completely subduing him.

The entire sequence of actions was lightning fast, changing the situation in the blink of an eye.

Just moments ago they were on the defensive, but in an instant they became the ones in control.

"You fucking tricked me!" the man gritted his teeth.

"You're just stupid." Li Changfeng scoffed, hooking his pistol in his hand with his left foot with a flourish, and pointed it at the man's head, saying, "Do you want to live or die?"

It's better to live a miserable life than to die a good death.

"I..." The man had barely uttered a single word when Li Changfeng pulled the trigger.

"Bang!" The bullet easily entered the back of his head.

The man's eyes widened, his pupils dilated, and he slowly lay down on the ground, soon becoming completely silent.

"You actually chose it, how naive." Li Changfeng threw down his pistol and took out a beautiful little porcelain bottle from somewhere.

The bottle cap was opened, and fine white powder was slowly poured out.

Is it going to be another itch-inducing powder?

He's already dead, wouldn't it be a waste to dump this thing here? But the scene that followed was chilling and made your hair stand on end.

The powder was sprinkled on the man and corroded him at an extremely fast speed, even better than the effects in the movies.

This is called corpse-dissolving powder, which, as the name suggests, is a poison specifically designed to dissolve corpses.

Its corrosion resistance is so high it's practically a lifesaver for murder, arson, and everyday life, whether at home or traveling.

Even guns are no exception.

After doing all this, Li Changfeng lit a cigarette and walked outside.

"Cousin, look, Li Changfeng is over there." Shen Qiqi arrived quickly, within ten minutes.

"They're smoking and feeling high, they don't know anything, they're just fooling people."

“Li Changfeng shouldn’t be the type to mess around,” Ye Zihan shook her head.

Her opinion of Li Changfeng changed somewhat after yesterday's events. The fact that her grandfather had asked him to protect her and that he had moved into her house without any hesitation showed that her grandfather trusted him a lot.

Li Changfeng's skills are indeed formidable; there is no doubt about that, as I have witnessed firsthand.

He could easily defeat twenty or thirty people without sustaining any damage, and he probably hadn't even used his full strength yet. Such a master would be more than enough to be my bodyguard.

The key is that even his grandfather trusts him so much, so he shouldn't be suspicious.

Grandpa has always been cautious and clear-headed; he would never keep an unreliable person around him.

Shen Qiqi looked on in surprise and disbelief as she touched her cousin's smooth forehead and muttered softly, "She doesn't have a fever, so why is she siding with Li Changfeng?"

Ye Zihan pushed open the car door, stepped out, and said, "Let's stick to the facts."

"Hello, Miss Ye." Li Changfeng greeted her and followed her upstairs.

"Put out your cigarette. Smoking is not allowed in the company." Ye Zihan stood tall and proud, radiating confidence and charm.

As the company's president, she always maintained the domineering attitude of a superior, and she acted in the same way, being capable, decisive, and having the final say.

Li Changfeng didn't care about any of that; he would be punished as he pleased. He was used to being undisciplined and couldn't tolerate being disciplined by others.

Once in the office, Ye Zihan began working. Not far away was a maroon table, which was Li Changfeng's seat.

Wherever Ye Zihan is, he will be there.

What is a close bodyguard? They are someone who is basically always by your side.

Ye Zihan stood straight, her suit jacket was impeccably tailored and fit her perfectly, exuding both seriousness and a captivating figure. Her eyes were fixed on the company documents, meticulous and attentive.

Sunlight streamed through the glass window, illuminating her fair and pretty face. Her hair fell gracefully, glistening like a crystal-clear angel fallen to earth.

Li Changfeng, bored, lit another cigarette.

Ye Zihan frowned slightly. "Go to the toilet to draw water. Don't disturb my work."

"Want to go together?" Li Changfeng lay half-reclined on the table, his legs crossed, looking nonchalant and unrestrained.

"You scoundrel, watch your words!" Ye Zihan glared angrily.

"Your period is about to start, are you sure you don't want to go to the toilet?" Li Changfeng said bluntly.

"Aunt Flo?" Ye Zihan was completely confused and didn't react for a moment.

Then he looked down and calculated the days. It was probably within the next day or two. But how did he know?

It's nothing more than making fun of oneself, making a fool of oneself.

"If you keep using foul language, get out of here."

"Fine, my good intentions have been wasted. If you don't leave in five minutes, I'll change my surname to yours." Li Changfeng continued to puff on his cigarette, leisurely.

In less than two minutes, Ye Zihan's face turned red, her legs clamped together, and she picked up her bag and started rummaging through it.

Holding a small pink pouch, she hurried out, not daring to glance at Li Changfeng.

Li Changfeng grinned widely, making strange noises, full of sarcastic remarks, "Those who don't listen to the elders will suffer the consequences."

Ye Zihan felt incredibly hot, and her complexion rose another notch, becoming even more flushed than a monkey's bottom.

Of all the monkeys on the mountain, my bottom is the reddest.

Ye Zihan clenched her teeth in the bathroom, initially feeling angry, then embarrassed, and later confused and unable to understand.

She couldn't understand how Li Changfeng could guess so accurately. Was he a fortune teller?

Even fortune tellers couldn't achieve this level of accuracy, could they? They can get the result right in just a few minutes.

How did he do it? And what kind of person is he?

How did Li Changfeng realize that something was about to happen to him?

These questions came crashing down on her, and Ye Zihan racked her brains but couldn't figure them out.

A sharp pain followed, and he gasped for breath.

This problem has recurred; it had been cured for exactly one year.

Ye Zihan endured her discomfort, left the restroom, and returned to her office.

Who knew...
