Vampires exist in books, shows, and movies… BUT IN NEW ERIDU?!
Ellen Joe discovers her quiet classmate Phaga isn’t just reserved—he’s a vampire looking for a job!
Between school...
The reporter originally wanted to hold on a little longer and was prepared to use his expert rhetoric to dodge the question.
But to his surprise, the umbrella behind him pressed harder and harder, the handle of which hurt him painfully. The reporter had no choice but to give in: "Okay, okay, you watch, I'll delete it."
With Fagga and Ellen as witnesses, the reporter deleted the photos.
Then he muttered, "Really, this young lady is so lovely, you should have a spirit of spreading beauty!"
Fagar added, "Citizens have the right to their image under the law. The fine you paid is quite attractive. You might as well pay more."
Upon hearing this, the reporter immediately fell silent, dejectedly saying, "Forget it, I heard a school was bombed by a hollow. I'll go look for news there."
After saying that, the reporter turned and boarded a bus. It's unclear whether he'll be able to find any scraps of news since he's only going to Fagar's school now.
Soon, Ruby's bus arrived, and she waved goodbye to Fagga and Ellen.
Goodbye, Fagga, Ellen! See you another day!
"Bye-Bye!"
"Okay, see you another day."
Fagga and Ellen waved goodbye to Ruby, leaving the two of them to wait for the train at the station.
With the most talkative one gone, the atmosphere instantly turned cold.
Neither Ellen nor Fagia said a word, waiting for the bus to arrive.
Time flies by, and the bus is unusually slow to arrive today. The numbers on my phone go from 0 to 9, while the little guy next to me likes to go from 0 to 6.
Then reset to zero and go through it again; wait quietly for the sun to set, the white clouds burning red, illuminating the streetlights along the street.
Click!
Fagga folded his umbrella and bent down to tidy it up.
Eileen shifted her gaze slightly and asked, "Aren't you afraid of the sun anymore?"
According to legend, vampires prefer darkness to sunlight and live in dark castles year-round.
"This little bit of sunlight won't kill me. Even poison has to be administered in the right dose. Otherwise, wouldn't we vampires be unable to come out at night? After all, the moon reflects sunlight."
After putting away the parasol, Fagga stopped talking and remained silent, a complete taciturn man.
After a while, Eileen suddenly spoke up: "Do you want to join Victoria Housekeeping?"
Fagga turned his head.
At that moment, both buses stopped at the station.
One of the cars will pass by Ellen's house, and the other will head towards Sixth Street.
This is the last train tonight. If you miss this one, there won't be another one tonight.
"Hey, are you getting on the bus or not?" the driver shouted, honking the horn loudly.
Fagga turned around, waved his hand, and said, "It's late today, let's talk about it later."
Eileen suddenly stepped forward and shouted, "We at Victoria Housekeeping do not discriminate against non-human races! Even if your race's name sounds terrifying!"
Tart!
The footsteps stopped, and Fagga suddenly paused, but soon the footsteps resumed.
Before long, the bus engine roared to life on Sixth Street and sped away.
The next moment, another bus opened its doors, and passengers boarded one by one. Not even half of the twenty-seven seats were occupied; the bus was completely empty.
A gentle breeze whispered in her ear as Ellen rested her chin on her hand and gazed out the window. The breeze ruffled her hair and lingered around her ear. Overwhelmed with tranquility, she simply wanted to enjoy the moment in silence.
Soon after, the bus stopped, and Ellen got off.
"Welcome home, Eileen... Oh, you brought a friend back?"
“That’s not good, Ellen. Victoria Housekeeping can’t let its own mistakes ruin the guests’ dinner.”
"It means Eileen wanted to tell us in advance!"
"Say it in advance, say it in advance!"
The woman who opened the door was dressed in white, elegant and poised, accompanied by two flying baboons who chimed in.
She's so tall! That was the first thing that came to Fagga's mind. He looked down instinctively and found that she had actually floated over!
Ellen, hands on her hips, said helplessly, "Okay, Lina."
"Hmph!"
Lina covered her mouth and chuckled twice, stepping aside to let others pass. Her body, which had been floating in mid-air, slowly bent down, her hands clasped together and hanging down to her lower abdomen, as she gracefully said:
"Please come in, distinguished guest."
