Mrs. Merlin rose and strode forward, her long legs echoing with the clicks of her high heels, creating ripples throughout the room. She slowly moved to the window, her gaze sweeping across the room as if she could see the entire clan:

"Only after sitting in this position did I realize how much fear and anxiety the elders of the clan lived every day."

"Humans are strong, which frightens the vampire race; yet humans are not strong enough to make the vampire race despair, so it seems that there is still a chance for everything to turn around."

"And this turning point was the fuse that ignited the war."

Colleen finally understood and murmured, "So that's why you let Miss Ellen enter the void to find Mr. Fagga?"

Mrs. Merlin turned around at the sound, then lowered her gaze to the ground and sighed softly, "It's easier to make peace when both sides hold knives than when only one side holds a knife."

A black and white doll carrying a small backpack floated around Ellen, its furry face smiling broadly, seemingly unconcerned about what was about to happen.
