After a while of commotion, and with Ellen really on the verge of losing her temper, Ruby didn't dare to tease her at all, and pretended to be a good girl, eating her noodles with her head down.

About half an hour later, even Ellen, who ate the slowest, licked her plate clean and took the tissue that Fagga handed her to wipe her mouth.

"Let's get down to business. Ruby, you came over so early this morning, you couldn't have just come here to freeload a meal, could you?"

After finishing her noodles, Colleen went to wash the dishes, which gave Fagga time to continue sitting there and asking Ruby questions.

"Of course not."

Ruby's heart tightened at the sight, and she dared not act silly anymore. She quickly said, "Well, I still have an investigator's assessment to take! I came here to ask for your help."

"Investigator assessment?"

Upon hearing this, Fagga frowned, raising an eyebrow as he looked at Ruby with a puzzled expression.

Is it that fast?

Seemingly noticing Faga's confusion, Ruby held up a finger and said confidently, "So you all didn't know? Listen, the future legendary investigator is about to fill in your knowledge gaps!"

"The investigator assessment is similar to taking a driver's license test; as long as you make an appointment in advance, you can take the test any day!"

Finally, Ruby stuck out her tongue playfully and said, "Of course, except for holidays."

"I see. I've never paid attention to this before. This is the first time I've heard about it."

Fagga nodded slightly, then said quietly, "But speaking of which, don't you need any recuperation at all? You almost died at Nineveh's hands yesterday."

Helping Ruby is fine; I've already helped her go to Void Zero to get a feel for things, so it won't hurt to go to some smaller voids to complete the investigator assessment.

To Fagga's surprise, Ruby seemed completely unaware of fear and exhaustion, daring to enter the Void again the very next day despite having just escaped death once.
