Chapter 357 A Sudden Storm

As dusk approached, the sky grew increasingly dark.

Qin Ze stood on the high hill, his face cold. Not long ago, scouts reported signs that the Japanese army was moving, and Qin Ze had already made preparations for this.

Before him, a formidable army stood proudly amidst the howling wind, gazing at the sky where lightning flashed and thunder roared.

"Bang!"

Thunder roared one after another, and lightning flashed across the sky, making the evening sky seem as if it were about to collapse.

A strong wind howled past, sending grass and soil flying everywhere.

The Japanese army, marching across the wilderness, continued its advance according to its original plan.

After a few more miles, after crossing a slope, Qin Ze's camp was ahead. Murata raised his arm, signaling the army to slow down.

Murata looked up at the sky, a slight smile playing on his lips:

"Come on! Get down!"

As soon as he finished speaking, another loud "bang" rang out, and a thick bolt of lightning suddenly lit up the distance, seemingly tearing a rift in the dark sky!

In an instant, everything was illuminated brightly, and the world was a deathly white.

The next moment.

"Splash!"

Although there had been warning signs, the downpour still came as a complete surprise.

A torrential downpour suddenly fell from the vast sky, with raindrops the size of copper coins cascading down from what seemed like a torn sky, covering the ground and soaking the soldiers!

Amidst a dense, crackling sound, Murata grew even more excited, shouting loudly in the midst of the torrential rain:

"Heaven is helping me!"

"Today's battle will surely be a great victory!"

The army quickened its pace. Although the dense rain made the soldiers somewhat uncomfortable, at this moment, each of them was filled with a high fighting spirit that was about to burst out of their bodies, and this fighting spirit was urging them forward!

After the rain started, the lightning became less frequent, striking only occasionally and bringing a dazzling flash of light to the dim world.

A short while later, after traveling several miles, Murata led his army over the slope.

Murata, mounted on his horse, wiped the rain from his face and gazed into the distance.

In the dim light, the rain grew heavier and heavier.

Amidst a curtain of rain, a flash of lightning occasionally strikes, light and darkness constantly intertwining.

In the flickering light and shadow, Murata saw the troops ahead, appearing and disappearing in the rain. The soldiers saw them too, and their breathing quickened in unison.

It was dark and raining heavily, so the view was not clear and the whole picture was hard to see, but there was no doubt that the enemy was already waiting there!

As the commander, Murata showed no fear; on the contrary, he became increasingly excited, placing his hand on the sword at his waist.

Just then.

A loud "bang"!

Murata's hand trembled slightly. This thunderclap was far louder than before; it was as if the sky had suddenly collapsed!

Accompanied by the thunder, a breathtakingly thick bolt of lightning flashed across the sky.

In an instant, the dark sky brightened as if it were daytime!

At that moment, the entire army in front of him finally came into view!

Through the rain, countless soldiers stood densely packed, their dark armor gleaming coldly in the rain. Swords, spears, and halberds stood like a forest, and the imposing iron cavalry stood indifferently.

What came into view was an army of soldiers, their numbers simply incalculable!

Although they have not yet made contact, the sheer force of this army is already enough to send shivers down one's spine!

Murata's eyelids twitched almost uncontrollably!

Since the battle of Linbin City, he had not faced Qin Ze's army head-on, but now, as he personally confronted this army, an indescribable sense of awe still made him tremble inwardly.

"Splash splash splash!"

The rain is still falling, and it's getting faster and heavier!

The wind was also raging, blowing the raindrops left and right, in the midst of the storm—

"Buzz!!!"

The sound of horns suddenly rose, and the powerful sound of the horns drowned out the sound of the wind and rain. Almost instantly, it exploded in everyone's ears, and everyone felt a chill run down their spines, as if even their souls were trembling!

The next instant, an even more powerful voice rang out!

"kill!!!"

boom!

The shouts of "Kill the enemy!" from millions of people echoed throughout this stormy night!

The killing intent surged, seemingly materializing, and swept across the storm!

moment--

Amidst the roars of men and the neighing of horses, and the continuous clatter of iron hooves, this army, born to slay Japanese pirates, moved in unison and charged forward!

The anger burning in his chest did not cool down in the slightest because of the heavy rain!

Faced with this group of invaders who slaughtered their compatriots and seized their land, the soldiers' determination to kill the enemy made their hearts beat faster and faster, and their pent-up anger burst forth in an instant!

At this moment, Murata was also holding back his anger. His eyes were wide open and his face was flushed red. With a formidable enemy in front of him, all his chaotic thoughts disappeared. Only a battle could quell the anger in his heart!

He abruptly drew his sword, the "Dojigiri," from its sheath and roared:

"kill!"

"Defeat them!!!"

Thunder rumbled and rain poured down as the two armies charged toward each other through the downpour!

At the very rear of the army, Qin Ze stood with his hands behind his back, while Xu Chu stood beside him, holding a sword.

Hearing the sounds of clashing weapons approaching from the front, Qin Ze remained expressionless and said:

"It seems that the Japanese pirates have gathered all their forces."

Xu Zhu nodded and said, "There are many more than the Japanese pirates we encountered before. The Japanese pirates have been retreating, probably because they want to win a battle to turn the tide."

Qin Ze pursed his lips slightly and said coldly:

"It's boring and a waste of time to keep chasing down the remnants."
