"Oh....."
Murata gave a cold laugh, then his face turned red as he burst into maniacal laughter.
"Ha ha ha ha!"
Hahahaha!
He slowly straightened up, his face twitching slightly, his gaze growing increasingly sinister.
"I don't understand at all!!!"
With a roar, Murata suddenly leaped out and slashed at Qi Jiguang with his sword!
"Then I'll teach you."
Qi Jiguang remained calm. Facing the sudden attack from Murata, he took a deep breath and then abruptly raised his sword!
With those words, the next moment...
"Click!"
The boy-cutting sword was severed in one stroke!
Half of the blade flew straight into the air. Murata's face froze. Before he could fully react, Qi Jiguang flipped his wrist and struck Murata's left cheek with the hilt of the knife!
"puff"!
Murata's pupils contracted as his cheekbone was dented from the impact, and several of his teeth were even broken.
But he kept his lips tightly shut, swallowing the blood and broken teeth in his mouth, and then plunged the broken knife into Qi Jiguang's chest.
"They're talking about those ants."
Qi Jiguang moved his feet to avoid the knife that was piercing his chest, then turned his body and flipped the Qi Family Knife in his hand, slashing it down on Murata's arm!
With a "snap," Murata stopped in time, but one of his arms was still cut off.
A bloodied left hand crashed to the ground.
Murata's face contorted, and his tightly closed lips could no longer hold back. He suddenly opened his mouth, and a high-pitched scream followed.
"Ahhh!"
"The ants, thinking themselves numerous, attempted to shake the great tree."
Qi Jiguang let out a cold shout, suddenly closing the distance between himself and Murata. Then, instead of using his knife, he smashed a headbutt into Murata's face.
The blow landed squarely on Murata's face, his nose was hit first and was knocked crooked, two streams of blood gushed out, and even his eye socket was cracked, with blood trickling down his face.
"Buzz—"
Murata's screams stopped abruptly. He stumbled backward, his eyes widening in disbelief, a long, resonant buzzing in his mind.
With a "thud," he could no longer hold on and fell backward into the mud.
It wasn't until a cold shout came that he snapped out of his daze from the buzzing sound.
"Little did they know, it was like an ant trying to shake a tree—a laughable display of overestimation of their own abilities!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Murata's unfocused gaze gradually sharpened, and he saw the enemy approaching him.
The man wielding the knife had a frosty expression, but his eyes burned with a fierce light.
"Now, do you understand?"
Qi Jiguang walked to Murata's side and pointed his blade at him.
Murata coughed up blood, his face turning pale. With only one hand left, he was too weak to lift the "Dojigiri" (a type of sword), but a sinister smile appeared on his face:
"It's not over yet..."
"It's not over yet..."
"This war will not end because of our defeat today. Just wait... one day, we will take back this land."
He muttered to himself.
Qi Jiguang nodded, but a smile appeared on his face.
"That's right."
"It certainly won't end like this."
As he said this, his gaze suddenly turned sharp, and then he plunged a knife into Murata's chest!
The long, narrow blade pierced through Murata's body and plunged into the mud!
As the knife fell, Qi Jiguang bent down, looking directly at Murata who was coughing up blood. Qi Jiguang's face was facing him, and he said coldly:
"You have brought the flames of war to our land, and the war will certainly not end here."
"Once we leave the East Sea, the ensuing war will sweep across your entire Japan! And an even greater war is yet to come!"
"The fire of Yan Kingdom will burn Fusang to ashes!"
"Unfortunately... you won't see the destruction of Fusang."
"You are lucky."
Qi Jiguang stood up, ignoring Murata who was still alive, and sheathed his sword before leaving.
"Cough cough cough."
Mouthfuls of blood gushed from Murata's mouth as he struggled to turn his face to look at Qi Jiguang's departing figure.
In the distance, the number of standing samurai was rapidly decreasing, and the scene Murata saw was quickly dissipating.
All of this indicates that the battle is about to end.
This large Japanese army, mainly composed of samurai, was gradually annihilated in this battle.
A barely audible murmur arose at that moment, emanating from Murata, who was on the verge of death.
"Your Majesty the Emperor, I have died for my country..."
With that low murmur, Murata's throat bobbed, and a faint chant arose:
"Cherry blossoms, oh cherry blossoms... Under the clear March sky, cherry blossoms stretch as far as the eye can see..."
"Go see the flowers...go see the flowers...you should go see the flowers early..."
The increasingly faint chanting stopped abruptly after a few breaths, but the sounds of fighting and clashing weapons continued.
Crimson blood mingled with murky sewage, countless corpses and fragments sank deep in the mud, and this vast land reaped ample rain and nutrients on this stormy night.
The bright moon hung high in the sky, motionless, casting its cool moonlight, which seemed to bloom across the earth like flowers of flesh and blood.
Under the pale moonlight, Huang Tianwei rode his warhorse in a large circle, finally getting close to the rear of the battlefield.
He could even see the military camps where they were stationed.
In one direction, a group of people were standing on high ground observing the battlefield, and Huang Tianwei knew that Qin Ze should be among them.
He glanced back at the dark road, then dismounted and cautiously ran to the left. After a moment, he stood still and looked at the crowd who were still unaware of his movements.
