With a "snap".
The fireworks were still exploding, the explosions were too loud, and the shouts from the ship were too chaotic, so Jin Changge did not notice the arrows coming from behind.
It wasn't until the arrow pierced his left arm and the pain struck him instantly that Jin Changge turned his head to look behind him.
King Jing's face was contorted with rage. He drew a second arrow from his quiver and fired it again!
Jin Changge gritted her teeth, lunged forward, and rolled towards a foreigner, successfully dodging the arrow. But before she could get up, another arrow came flying.
She had no choice but to roll over again. During this time, the arrow that had pierced her left arm hit the deck, tearing the wound in her arm wider and causing the pain to intensify.
Jin Changge's face turned deathly pale, and sweat mixed with blood slowly dripped from his forehead.
A scream rang out at that moment, as the arrow that had just been dodged struck the foreigner.
Even so, King Jing ignored him and continued to shoot arrows at Jin Changge regardless.
"Stop shooting!!!"
"Stop! You've hit us!"
"What are you doing?! Stop him! He's blind in one eye! He can't shoot accurately at all!"
"He's an assassin too! Stop him!!"
The foreigners on Jin Changge's side roared. They hadn't expected that in addition to facing this ruthless princess, they would also have to endure these randomly shot arrows.
Left with no other choice, those who did not want to jump ship climbed onto the railing. Just as they were about to jump, the scene on the sea made them shudder.
The sea was now a blood red, with several corpses floating on it. They were the people who had jumped ship earlier, and they had died inexplicably in the sea!
Just then, an extremely angry roar rang out:
"Bring me arrows! I want to shoot this wretched woman dead!!!"
"Did you hear me! Hand me the quiver right now!"
King Jing had used up all the arrows in his quiver, but only managed to hit Jin Changge with one arrow, which enraged him greatly. He had never suffered such a serious injury in his life.
His body and hair were given to him by his parents. After taking over his father's position, he had become the powerful Prince Jing, second only to the emperor. Yet today, he had lost an eye in front of this madwoman. How could he not be furious?
But the guards dared not send any more arrows to Prince Jing, since the arrows he had just shot had wounded or killed several foreigners.
Seeing that the guards remained unmoved, King Jing grew even angrier. He ran towards one of them, shouting, "You're asking for death! Bring me the arrows!"
One of the foreign bystanders shouted, "That woman is wounded! Quick! Kill her! Stop shooting arrows! You'll hurt your own people!"
Having gained a brief respite, Jin Changge gritted her teeth and forcefully broke the arrow stuck in her left arm. She then hurriedly got up, but as soon as she stood up, her eyes dimmed for a moment.
What I could see was an ever-growing number of soldiers outside the ship, boarding from the port in a vast, dense mass.
At the beginning of the battle, she was able to take down the enemies before they could fully react, but as the battle dragged on, the number of enemies grew larger and larger, and at this moment, Mai Lirui was being protected by more than a dozen guards behind her.
Jin Changge took a few heavy breaths. Although her severed hair had been tied up tightly, a strand still fell from her forehead during the fierce battle, and blood dripped down the hair. Jin Changge suddenly felt a wave of weariness.
Jin Changge felt a faint pain in his back from the previous cut, but he knew the cut wasn't deep and he could bear it for now.
However, she could barely lift her left arm. The intense pain made her realize that the arrow must have pierced through her arm bone. Fortunately, she had killed at least a dozen foreigners so far, including some of them who were of very high status.
More and more guards rushed over. Jin Changge gritted his teeth and looked at Mai Lirui again—and Prince Qing beside him.
The next moment, Jin Changge's eyes suddenly sharpened.
One is a villain who plundered Daqian, and the other... is no less ruthless!
'We must kill them!! We absolutely must!'
Jin Changge spat out a few words through his teeth, his eyes blazing with anger, and then he used all his strength to charge at them!
In a few breaths, the guards who were blocking Mai Lirui rushed forward, wielding knives and swords, and attacked Jin Changge from all angles!
Jin Changge had no choice but to fight back, but things were different now. The previous battle had exhausted her strength, and with the injuries on her body, she was finding it increasingly difficult to cope.
After only a dozen or so exchanges, although three guards were killed, Jin Changge was stabbed in the shoulder again.
As the bleeding increased, Jin Changge's face grew increasingly pale.
Prince Qing looked at his daughter fighting among the crowd, his face also pale. Even now, he was unwilling to believe that his daughter would suddenly kill someone on her wedding day.
But things had developed to this point, and there was no turning back. He no longer hoped that his daughter would put down her sword at this moment.
The guards who attacked her were all aiming to kill her, and Prince Qing knew that it would be useless to stop them at this point.
"Oh! How could she do such a thing! This has ruined my future..."
"What a terrible child!" Prince Qing lamented in his heart.
Meanwhile, more and more people rushed onto the ship from the boarding area, their numbers almost blocking the passageway.
Jin Changge, who was fighting fiercely with the guards, was breathing more and more rapidly. She still had a dagger on her body. At this distance, she could not rush to the two men. The only way was to shoot the dagger!
