Chapter 47 Deception and Reality: Huo Qubing's Schemes

A whooshing sound rang out, and the spear shot out like a dragon. Huo Qubing thrust his spear from top to bottom, aiming straight for Tu Biyan's chest!

Tu Biyan's back was already soaked with cold sweat. He hurriedly raised his long knife to deflect the spear tip. Although he shifted the position of the spear muzzle, the sharp spear tip still cut Tu Biyan's right hand. In pain, Tu Biyan gritted his teeth and jumped back.

But as soon as he jumped away, a cold snort came from behind him.

Qin Ze rode up on horseback. Although he was tired after more than an hour of fighting, he felt his blood rushing to his head and he seemed to have inexhaustible strength when facing Tu Biyan.

Qin Ze's eyes flashed like lightning as he spotted the spot where Tu Biyan had jumped to, gripped the Breaking Formation Halberd tightly, and swung it down fiercely!

Seeing the fierce halberd coming at him, Tu Biyan's heart skipped a beat. Although he considered himself to be quite skilled in martial arts, his forte was mounted combat. Now that he had lost his horse and was facing two people at the same time, he had lost his composure.

Immediately after landing, he could only barely hold the long blade horizontally in front of his chest.

"Bang!"

The next instant, the halberd slammed heavily into Tu Biyan's chest, and a sound of metal clashing rang out.

At the same time, Tu Biyan suddenly fell backward, letting out a muffled groan before spitting out a mouthful of blood.

It turned out that Qin Ze's halberd was incredibly sharp. Although Tu Biyan had already raised his sword to block in front of his chest, the horizontal blade of the halberd pierced directly into his chest through his armor!

With that powerful and heavy chopping force, this halberd strike severely injured Tu Biyan!

Although not much blood was flowing from Tu Biyan's chest at this moment, Qin Ze knew that his halberd had pierced the internal organs in his abdominal cavity!

Qin Ze looked up at Tu Biyan, who was struggling to get up from the ground, his eyes cold and stern.

Huo Qubing, who was standing to the side, had already walked towards Tu Biyan with his spear in hand.

Tu Biyan swayed unsteadily, his face was deathly pale, one hand was on his chest, and he was panting heavily. But then, he suddenly laughed bitterly.

"Qin Ze, I underestimated you, but even if you kill me, it won't make a difference!"

"You shouldn't have killed the Khan! You've killed him, and you'll face fierce retribution! Hahaha!"

At this point, Tu Biyan coughed up a mouthful of blood, then gasped for breath:

"After today's battle, you don't have many soldiers left. When my Northern Hu army arrives, you can just wait to die!"

Tu Biyan struggled to lift his head, his eyes already clouded, gazing at the distant Hu Rong Pass, and continued:

"Let alone Hurong Pass, even if we were to launch a major offensive, it would be..."

Before he could finish speaking, a plum blossom spear was already at his neck, and then Huo Qubing coldly said:

"I'll tell you something: your leader, Tu Yuchun, is not dead yet."

As soon as he finished speaking, Tu Biyan's eyes widened in disbelief as he stared at Huo Qubing. He pointed at Huo Qubing and said in a trembling voice:

"Are you... are you cheating! What exactly are you...?"

Before he could finish speaking, Huo Qubing snorted coldly, raised his hand, and thrust his spear straight through Tu Biyan's head!

Fresh blood spurted out!

Tu Biyan collapsed slowly in shock!

"My lord, I will inform you of the situation at the Northern Hu army camp later. Let's deal with these remnants first!" Huo Qubing turned to Qin Ze and said.

"Yes! Take care of these people!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Qin Ze and Huo Qubing rode off on horseback, charging towards the remaining Hu cavalry!

The death of Tubiyan undoubtedly deprived the Hu cavalry of their last support, and they could no longer resist the incredibly powerful Tiger and Leopard Cavalry and Qin elite soldiers!

The ensuing battle went very smoothly.

The battle had become one-sided, with Hu cavalrymen being slaughtered and their horses falling in disarray, unable to even escape!

In fact, by this point in the battle, the Hu cavalry had long since exhausted their strength, while Qin Ze's troops still had the ability to fight.

As dusk fell, the battle finally came to an end with the death of the last Northern Hu soldier.

The sun was already setting in the west, and a strong smell of blood filled the air as a gentle breeze blew. The corpses of tens of thousands of people lay on the grassland, stretching for miles!

Qin Ze was panting heavily, his hair was stuck to his forehead with blood, and the Broken Formation Halberd in his hand felt quite heavy. His warhorse had already been stabbed multiple times by the Northern Hu soldiers and had fallen to the ground.

Looking around, countless corpses were piled up on the ground, and only about four thousand people were still able to stand up.

In previous battles to suppress bandits, there were basically no major losses, but this time, facing the Hu cavalry, more than 10,000 men were lost. Qin Ze knew in his heart that these Hu cavalry were not weak at all.

Ultimately, the Hu cavalry were almost completely annihilated this time, with only a few dozen Hu cavalry survivors managing to escape back to the grasslands during the chaos of battle.

Just then, Huo Qubing arrived on horseback.

Seeing Qin Ze in this state, Huo Qubing hurriedly jumped off his horse and quickly walked to Qin Ze to help him up.

"My lord, how are you? Are you alright?" Huo Qubing asked with concern.

Qin Ze waved his hand, "It's nothing, just some superficial injuries. How are you?"

Qin Ze saw that Huo Qubing was covered in blood, his hair and beard were disheveled, and his handsome face showed signs of fatigue.

He understood that Huo Qubing must have done a lot behind the scenes since he led his troops the night before.

Huo Qubing smiled and shook his head, "I'm fine, I just had a bit of an upset stomach after eating some raw horse meat."

Qin Ze chuckled and patted him on the shoulder.

"It's good that you're alright. What's the situation at the Northern Hu army camp? And what about the head you brought?"

Upon hearing this, Huo Qubing's expression tightened, and he clasped his hands in a fist salute to Qin Ze, saying:

"My lord, I was unable to take Tu Yuchun's head. I could only make a feint to throw these Northern Hu soldiers into disarray."

"When I was inspecting the Beihu military camp, I saw the appearance of their leader. So I cut off the head of a Beihu soldier who looked similar to him, then disfigured his face and brought it over as Tu Yuchun's head."

"There are still less than 20,000 Northern Hu soldiers in the Northern Hu camp!"

"During the days I was away, I was constantly..."

Huo Qubing recounted his actions over the past few days in detail. After listening, Qin Ze nodded slightly and gave him an approving look.

"Well done!"

“If it weren’t for you bringing this dummy head, these Hu cavalry would probably have fled back to the grasslands.”

"To achieve such a great victory today, we cannot afford any mistakes in any aspect."

Huo Qubing nodded and said:

"There are still a large number of troops in the Northern Hu army camp. After this battle, I'm afraid that if they become cautious, they will flee back to the grasslands. Alas, it's a pity that we couldn't annihilate them all!"

Upon hearing this, Qin Ze's eyes turned cold, and he said in a deep voice:

"Don't worry, they can't escape."

"A war of annihilation must be waged to completely annihilate them!"
