Chapter 500 Deploying Troops

As soon as he finished speaking, a sudden change occurred.

Suddenly, a burly man jumped out, pointed at Jin Ziyi, and angrily cursed:

"You son of a bitch! How dare you insult my people! You deserve a beating!"

Enraged, he immediately stepped forward, poised to strike. Seeing the tall, imposing barbarian, Jin Ziyi was both startled and frightened, quickly hiding behind his guards. He urgently pleaded with Prince Jing:

"Your Highness, look at them..."

"Yan Cheng, step back! Do not act rashly!" Wu Li shouted.

"Hmph! You son of a bitch! Watch your mouth!" The barbarian retreated back into the crowd, his muscular arms wrapped around himself, his large, bell-like eyes fixed on the panicked Jin Ziyi.

"Your Highness! Look at him! How dare he be so rude! He even dares to threaten us!"

"Am I wrong? Now that the enemy is in front of us, you are unwilling to send troops to kill them. How have you barbarians become so cowardly!" Jin Ziyi hid behind the crowd, his face flushed with anger.

No sooner had he finished speaking than Prince Jing suddenly stood up and slapped Jin Ziyi across the face.

With a "snap".

Jin Ziyi stumbled and fell to the ground, clutching his flushed face. He stared at Prince Jing in astonishment, his eyes filled with disbelief.

King Jing, his face contorted with rage, pointed at him and shouted:

"Jin Ziyi, how dare you be so rude!"

"Every barbarian is a hero; who doesn't know their great deeds?! How dare you slander them here?!"

"Previously, in order to suppress the rebels, the barbarians sent hundreds of thousands of troops, traveling thousands of miles from this place to Beiliang. Such a loyal and righteous army is a great blessing for Daqian!"

"Though they perished at Yanluo Mountain, turning hundreds of thousands of barbarian warriors into dead souls, their spirit remains! And so do the warriors before you; how could they fear the rebels!"

Jin Ziyi sat on the ground, his face filled with shame and anger, but after seeing the look in Jing Wang's eyes, he suddenly understood.

Then, he covered his face and sighed:

"But...now that the rebels have come here, it is the perfect opportunity to suppress them in one fell swoop."

"If we miss this opportunity and let that traitor Qin Ze escape, who knows how long it will take to kill him again later."

King Jing snorted coldly and shouted, "Do you even need to tell me that?!"

"I've made myself clear enough. Can't everyone here understand?"

"If the traitor were anywhere else, it would be one thing, but now that he's here, we have a strong and well-equipped army in Nanze, and we also have brave and skilled barbarian warriors here. Do you think we can let the traitor and his rebel army run rampant here? Ha!"

At this point, King Jing turned to look at the crowd behind Wu Li: "You all agree, right?"

The burly man called "Yan Cheng" snorted coldly: "Of course we can't let them act like tyrants!"

"On the battlefield, our barbarian warriors have never feared anyone!"

As he spoke, Yan Cheng looked at Wu Li, but Wu Li remained silent, only stroking his beard.

Jin Ziyi shook his head and said, "I think that since the battle of Yanluo Mountain, the barbarians have lost their edge. Otherwise, why would they remain silent when faced with their enemy?"

Prince Jing raised an eyebrow, stepped forward, and slapped Jin Ziyi across the face again, angrily shouting:

"Still spouting nonsense!"

"Kindness must be repaid, debts must be settled; this is the way of the barbarians! I respect them the most, so don't spout any more nonsense!"

Jin Ziyi was so badly slapped that tears almost fell from his eyes. He covered his red cheek with his hand, but his gaze was fixed on Wu Li. Of course, besides him, Prince Jing was also looking at Wu Li at this moment.

Seemingly sensing those two gazes, Wu Li rubbed his temples and asked:

"Since the rebels landed at South Port, they must have used quite a few ships, right?"

Before he could finish speaking, Jin Ziyi said impatiently, "They landed in a fleet of a thousand warships. If we had more warships, we would have shot them down at sea long ago."

King Jing turned to look at Jin Ziyi, his eyes seemingly spitting fire, but Jin Ziyi looked completely bewildered, unaware that he had said the wrong thing.

"oh."

Wu Li nodded and hummed in agreement, his expression remaining as calm as before.

He then asked, "They must have landed at Nangang some time ago. I wonder if we've had any battles with them?"

This time, before Jin Ziyi could speak, King Jing interrupted:

"No!"

"The rebels have crossed the sea with a thousand warships, but they can't carry many people. It's because Qin Ze is arrogant and came alone that I say this is a golden opportunity."

"That traitor has been blinded by his previous winning streak. As the saying goes, pride comes before a fall. How could he possibly win this time?"

"His Majesty has held back his troops to avoid alerting the traitors and allowing them to escape. We intend to achieve victory in one decisive blow!"

At this point, King Jing's face turned ruthless, and he extended a finger, saying in a trembling voice:

"Let's fight one war!"

"We'll wipe them all out in one battle, giving them a taste of their own medicine! Let them pay for their crimes in blood!"

Wu Li nodded, then suddenly spoke:

"Since this is a battle we are certain to win, is it necessary for my barbarian tribe to send troops?"

King Jing's expression stiffened, but he quickly replied, "Of course."

"With more troops, it will be easier to suppress the rebels."

"Moreover, the traitor is not only someone the court must kill, but also an enemy the barbarians must eliminate."

"We must work together to deal with the rebels."

Wu Li nodded again, clearly agreeing. Prince Jing's expression softened slightly, and he continued:

"We must seize the opportunity. The rebels are heading towards Nanze. We must send troops as soon as possible to wipe them out in one fell swoop."

"How many barbarian warriors are you willing to send? Of course, no matter how many, you will lead the troops yourselves, and the imperial court will not interfere!"
