Chapter 591 "Lesson"

A day and a half later, at noon, the sun was blazing and the sea was calm and sunny.

Near the South Port, at the temporary port of the Liaosha Islands, the massive warship Yanhuang, the flagship of the Dagan Navy, is anchored.

Standing at the bow, Qin Ze's expression was slightly solemn. As early as the morning, the ships that were patrolling the near sea gradually moved outwards had sent back urgent military intelligence. They had already seen the foreign fleet sailing in a mighty manner toward Nangang.

The sheer number of warships that arrived was truly astonishing. The massive fleet, composed of ships from multiple nations, was indeed formidable. Countless warships of all sizes and types lined up side by side, their imposing presence like a monstrous wave sweeping in.

Clearly, the nations that had crossed the ocean made no attempt to conceal their ambitions. They sailed aggressively toward the South China Sea with their fleets, their intent to invade was palpable.

Qin Ze could imagine that if they were allowed to land in Nangang, the country would suffer from war in the future.

But now the navy has given him full confidence. The ambitious nations are extending their black hands, and what awaits them is a severe blow!

However, the ships that had already been deployed did not directly attack the fleets of the various nations to engage in battle. Moreover, Qin Ze ordered the coastal patrol vessels to withdraw quickly.

As the patrol boats withdrew, Qin Ze could imagine that the fleets of the various nations were in hot pursuit, chasing them all the way to the South Port.

That's enough.

——

On the shimmering sea, a fleet is on its way.

On the Sun Goddess, located in the center of the fleet, hearty laughter could be heard from time to time.

Clemento, standing at the bow of the ship, gripped the railing and watched the fleet cut through the waves towards the South Harbor, his heart filled with exhilaration.

His conjecture has now been fully verified. In the face of this massive fleet, Da Gan's so-called coastal defenses are as easily torn as paper. Now they are about to reach the near sea, but their patrol boats are like mice seeing a cat, frantically running away with their heads in their hands.

From yesterday until now, the fleet has not encountered any resistance. Its progress has been so smooth that Clemento felt that the arduous task of coastal defense was simply a joke.

He knew that such a flimsy coastal defense must be the last force that country could muster.

Because they lack the strength to cope with a large-scale naval battle, they display their warships without reservation, sending as many ships as possible to patrol the coastal waters day and night, in order to make others think that they are powerful. In short, it is a bluff.

However, it must be admitted that their tactics did achieve some success. At least before they brought the Blazing Sun Fleet, other countries thought that their opponent was not to be underestimated, which made them cautious and conservative, and dared not easily land in South Port.

Clemento felt she had figured out the Emperor's mindset. She didn't want others to land and conquer, but she didn't dare to make a grand and solemn declaration. So she had to resort to this kind of clever trick to slow down others and give herself some breathing room.

But now that they have completely seen through Da Gan's petty tricks and have openly led their fleet to attack, how should they deal with them?

It's just the helpless struggle of a pathetic creature.

"Ha ha ha ha."

Thinking of his triumph, Clemento took off his hat and burst into laughter.

Clemento glanced at Chief of Staff Wilson beside him, smiled, and wiped the fine beads of sweat from his forehead.

"It's so hot! It's only mid-May and it's already this hot. Once we land and get to work, I'll have to take a good cold shower."

Upon hearing this, Wilson shifted his gaze from ahead and said, "Marshal, although they have withdrawn their patrol boats, they may put up a resistance once we enter the harbor area."

Clemento fanned himself with his hat, the breeze dispelling some of the heat, and he chuckled softly:

“If they really wanted to fight, they wouldn’t have withdrawn their patrol boats in such a sorry state, and wouldn’t have kept pulling back their defenses.”

"They are currently at a loss for what to do, which is why they have chosen to retreat. But as our voyage gradually approaches the port, they will eventually give up all resistance out of fear."

"I think their emperor is already regretting his previous attitude, hehe."

Wilson nodded and said, "The Marshal is right. The change in these men's attitude has pushed them into the abyss!"

Clemento narrowed his eyes, a cold glint in them: "Regardless of their current attitude, whether they decide to surrender and beg for mercy out of fear, or they put up a last-ditch effort, we must teach them a lesson they will never forget."

"How dare Da Gan bluff in front of us? Once we completely shatter their coastal defenses and leave their territory defenseless and exposed to us, they will know that our Sa Ri Kingdom is not something Da Gan can compare to!"

Wilson echoed this sentiment.

Clemento smiled slightly and put the hat on his head:

"Go back to the cabin, Wilson. There's nothing more to see. We'll be unstoppable and head straight for South Harbor."

"If they choose to put up a last stand, our warships will utterly destroy them."

After saying that, Clemento turned and walked briskly toward the cabin. He felt that this military operation was as simple as a spring hunt.

However, unlike hunting, where prey can escape and hide, the "prey" this time have nowhere to hide. Their territory is right here, so they can't escape no matter what. Therefore, this may not be a hunt, but more like a picnic, since the meat is right there on the plate, not moving at all.
