Faced with Clemento's repeated assurances, Qin Ze looked around at the warships of the various nations before finally fixing his gaze on Clemento's face:
"But I'm a little worried that your queen might go back on her word and not only refuse to pay compensation, but also send an even larger fleet."
These words struck a chord with Clemento. His face stiffened, but he still shook his head and said, "No way!"
Qin Ze tapped the hilt of his sword with his fingers and said indifferently:
"Whether it will or won't, haven't you already given the answer?"
"My country, you desire it so much, but what are you pathfinders to your emperor?"
"You say that my Yan Kingdom has received respect and equal treatment, but that's only because we won this battle. If this battle really ended there, then my Yan Kingdom has truly been underestimated."
At this point, Qin Ze leaned forward slightly, staring intently into Clemento's eyes, and then said, word by word:
"I will let you go back tonight."
"But you should know that this will be the last time you come to our land without our permission."
"Letting you go is my way of giving Isabella, whom I've never met, a little gift."
As these words fell, Clemento's heart, which had been hanging in suspense, finally settled down. He hadn't even expected Qin Ze to be so decisive, releasing himself tonight after making those harsh words.
But in any case, this is a good thing.
He immediately nodded and said, "Okay."
"Upon returning, I will certainly inform Her Majesty the Queen that we will never set foot on Yan Kingdom territory without her permission in the future." After saying this, he forced a stiff smile.
Seeing Clemento's stiff smile, Qin Ze returned a faint smile, then turned to the soldiers and said:
"Leave thirty warships and their crews to the Minister of Naval Affairs of the Sauri Kingdom. It would be best if they could return; if they couldn't, then it's just bad luck."
Just as he finished speaking, Clemento's smile suddenly froze, and Wilson beside him widened his eyes in surprise.
"And what about the rest, my lord? Should we take them back to South Harbor and detain them until they can be ransomed later?"
Qin Ze shook his head:
"They stormed into our doorstep in a menacing manner, and you think you can just say 'surrender' and that's it? Do you think it's just children playing around?"
The barbarians from before were people of my Yan Kingdom, our own people. Are these guys even our own? They're outsiders, bandits who came from afar intending to commit heinous acts. Can we just let it go like this? We can't explain this to the people.”
"Besides... if I don't throw this punch hard, these emperors and queens, who are thousands of miles away, won't feel the pain."
"Therefore, we must let them taste the bitterness of defeat in this battle."
Clemento sensed something was wrong, and his breathing became rapid. Wilson was the same; his heart was pounding, and cold sweat had unknowingly soaked his entire body.
The dialogue continues.
"So, you mean?"
"Kill them all, except for those I just mentioned."
"Kill now, come on, we can start now." Qin Ze sheathed his sword and said this.
With a thud, Wilson collapsed to the ground, Clemento's face twitched violently, contorting into a grotesque shape, and his brain buzzed with a series of sounds.
