Chapter 624 True Hero II

After the kind Madam Qin left, Xiao Changge, who was in the reception room, became nervous again, even more so than nervous. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say she was terrified. After all, it was too presumptuous. How could she ask the famous hero to sober up on such a late night just so she could have a few words with him?

Xiao Changge had prepared a lot of things to say on her way here, but when the time came, she forgot them all. She even regretted coming tonight.

At this moment, Xiao Changge noticed that her brother seemed to be the same way; he could never sit still in the chair, sometimes standing up and sometimes sitting down.

"Brother, why don't you just say so... or let's just go back..." Xiao Changge said hesitantly.

"You came, and now you're saying this?" Jin Jiande rolled his eyes.

"I...I..." Xiao Changge stammered, clutching the hem of her clothes.

"You used to cause such a ruckus in the mansion, but now you're acting like a proper young lady." Jin Jiande looked at her with a mischievous smile.

“You’re the same.” Xiao Changge blushed.

"Me? I... I didn't want people to think I was ill-mannered!" Jin Jiande's face also turned a little red. After saying this, he stood up abruptly: "You wanted to see General Huwei, not me. You stay here, I'm going out for some fresh air."

"Why is it so hot tonight?"

Without waiting for Xiao Changge's reply, he dashed out of the reception room.

Seeing her brother run away like that, Xiao Changge was caught in a dilemma, unsure whether to stay or leave. If she left, she feared that General Huwei would be displeased in the future. But if she stayed, what would she say to him when she saw him alone?

Speaking of General Tiger Might, I've admired you for a long time. I've come to see you; are you really the great hero everyone talks about? Is that all there is to it? Isn't that a bit too much...?

Xiao Changge sat awkwardly in the chair, regretting her recklessness for the first time.

After waiting a while longer, and still not seeing Madam Qin and General Huwei emerge, Xiao Changge finally couldn't sit still any longer. Not wanting to send a servant to urge them, she could only say to the servant, "I'll go for a walk outside first."

The servants readily agreed, after all, the young princess was a girl, so they naturally wouldn't stop her. However, two maids followed behind Xiao Changge.

After leaving the reception room, Xiao Changge didn't know where to go. She wanted to find her brother who had gone out for some "fresh air," but he was nowhere to be found either. While wandering aimlessly, she gradually heard shouts coming from the back garden.

I asked the maid and learned that several guests had come to the mansion tonight. They were the young master's friends. The young master was fond of martial arts and often asked them to spar with him.

Practicing martial arts, sparring, and the young master—these three things immediately piqued Xiao Changge's interest, turning her depressed mood into a joyful one. She also practiced martial arts and often pulled the servants aside to spar. As for the 'young master,' the Tiger General was a peerless hero with a far-reaching reputation. What kind of son did he have?

Before this, Xiao Changge had never met the young master of the Qin family.

So she had her maids lead the way to the back garden.

Upon entering the garden, Jin Changge stopped and looked ahead.

Under the bright, clear moonlight, two young boys of similar age were sparring on the lush green grass, while two men and a woman watched from the sidelines.

The slightly older man, who was in his early twenties, stood tall and strong, arms crossed, quietly on the ground.

The woman appeared to be about seventeen or eighteen years old. She sat on a bench with her knees drawn up to her chest, her oval face beaming with smiles. Her gentle and beautiful appearance was like a spring breeze.

As for the remaining man who kept gesturing and shouting, it was none other than his own older brother, who had somehow ended up here.

They were all watching the two boys' fight, and no one noticed Xiao Changge's arrival. Xiao Changge remained silent and just watched quietly.

She didn't recognize either of the two boys fighting. She was trying to figure out which one was General Huwei's son. She had heard the servants say that General Huwei's son was the same age as her, so he must be one of the two boys.

The two boys had dark complexions and didn't look like noble young masters. Moreover, their martial arts skills seemed to be evenly matched, and they had been fighting for so long without a clear winner. This made Xiao Changge eager to try it out. If she were at home, she would have already rolled up her sleeves and joined in.

"Hey! You're wrong, you should have punched him in the lower abdomen! That would have won you the win!"

"Why did you pull your kick back? You could have just hooked him down and then tackled him!"

During the fight, shouts and cheers could be heard from the sidelines from time to time.

Xiao Changge raised her eyebrows, feeling somewhat annoyed by her brother's nagging.

"You talk too much, mind your own business!" A teenager couldn't hold back and turned around to shout.

The other boy didn't take the opportunity to attack. Instead, he took a few steps back and said calmly, "Alright, that's enough."

"I worked up a sweat, it felt great."

"Tch, kid's skills are mediocre at best, and I can't even criticize him?" Jin Jiande said with a crooked mouth and a look of disdain.

"elder brother!"

Xiao Changge finally couldn't help but shout, and only then did everyone realize that there was an extra little girl.

Xiao Changge had already run to her brother's side and angrily kicked his knee, though she didn't use much force, just expressing her dissatisfaction.

Jin Jiande looked indifferent. He smiled and beckoned to the boy who had spoken out of turn: "Kid, you're all talk and no action, but you're not good with your fists. Do you have the guts to exchange a few blows with me?"

No sooner had he finished speaking than another boy chuckled and said, "Are you trying to bully the weak?"

"Come on then! I've never been afraid of anyone!" The young man angrily took two steps forward, adopting a fighting stance.
