"Marshal, you can't go outside! A thunderstorm is coming soon!" Koster hurriedly stepped forward to stop him.
Clemento, his hands gripping the hull of the ship, his eyes already bloodshot, was panting heavily even though he had only just stepped out of the cabin.
The surging waves kept crashing against the ship's hull, and the sound of thunder from the sky mingled with the roar of the waves. The rumbling sound made Clemento's heart beat faster and faster, while the ship continued to rock violently.
The next moment, he collapsed onto the deck.
Coster hurriedly knelt down: "Marshal, we need to get back to the cabin right away!"
No sooner had he finished speaking than a loud "boom" was heard. Although they were on deck, a flash of light appeared in that instant. Clemento's face was deathly pale, frighteningly so.
He clutched his head and face, curling up on the ground like an insect.
Coster tried to help Clemento up and take him back to his cabin, but the ship was rocking so violently that he could barely stand, and the thunder was growing louder.
A series of crackling and popping sounds began to rise rapidly, and the strong wind whipped up waves, causing the ship to be violently impacted.
Coster grabbed Clemento's foot and pulled him toward the cabin with all his might. During the return journey, food was severely scarce, and Clemento had lost a lot of weight, so Coster was able to easily pull him back to the cabin.
But just as he pulled half his body back, Clemento suddenly kicked his hand. As soon as Coster let go, Clemento twisted his body and crawled away.
"Marshal!" Koster was extremely anxious and quickly turned around to grab his foot.
"Leave me alone!" Clemento suddenly let out a hoarse roar.
His eyes were bloodshot, his teeth were clenched, and his long, unkempt nails scratched the deck with a harsh, screeching sound.
Lightning flashed and thunder roared outside the ship, with bolts of lightning almost never stopping. Amidst this lightning and thunder, Clemento's body began to tremble violently, and his face became increasingly ferocious and terrifying. He crawled slowly on the deck like a strange maggot.
This action filled Coster with immense worry. He stumbled toward Clemento, about to grab his foot again, when suddenly the ship began to rock violently.
Without warning, Coster stumbled and hit his head against the wall, losing consciousness immediately.
However, the thunderstorm had not yet passed. In addition to the lightning and thunder outside the ship, a torrential downpour had begun. Amid the raging wind and rain, the waves became increasingly violent, and all the ships were bobbing up and down in the waves, as if they would capsize at any moment.
He didn't know how much time had passed, but when Coster woke up, the thunder had stopped, but the sound of heavy rain and strong winds continued.
Coster winced in pain, touching his forehead and wiping his hand with blood. He also felt pain in other parts of his body, knowing that he had hit the ship while he was unconscious.
Then, he suddenly remembered Clemento climbing out, but there was no sign of him here now.
Coster was in a state of panic. He hurriedly got up from the ground. The ship was not as rocking as before. He rushed along the passageway toward the stairs, while looking around to try to spot Clemento.
During his run, he saw bloodstains on the deck, which made his heart tighten, and he quickly followed the bloodstains up the stairs.
As he was climbing the stairs, Coster saw that the upper deck had been opened, so he quickened his pace. When he finally reached the deck, what he saw shocked him.
In the storm, Marshal Clemento, bound by a noose, clung to the mainmast, roaring like a madman.
The rain soaked him completely, and his dirty clothes clung to his body, making him look very thin.
"Come on! Try and see if you can kill me!"
Come on!
Clemento's face was contorted with rage and madness; he was sometimes laughing, sometimes crying, sometimes grieving, sometimes furious.
He could not forget, could not forget the horrific massacre that had taken place two months earlier.
That night, he watched helplessly as his soldiers were taken to the bow of the ship and beheaded like livestock. Blood gushed from their severed necks, turning the seawater red and the stench of blood almost suffocating.
The ship he was on was the same one used for the execution that day, so even in the midst of the raging storm, he could still smell the stench of blood.
Even though more than two months had passed since that night, it felt like it was just yesterday. He was furious at the enemy's cruelty and ruthlessness, and regretted his own weakness that day.
It was his own weakness that led to the decision to surrender, and it was this decision that resulted in the brutal massacre of tens of thousands of his soldiers.
And this storm came at just the right time. If I were to die in it, it would all be over. But if I survived...
"Marshal!" Koster ran toward the mainmast.
"The storm isn't over yet! It's still very dangerous here!"
Clemento ignored it, still letting out incoherent roars, forcing himself to face the raging storm, his eyes wide open as he stared intently at the fierce waves crashing against him.
Please give me another chance.
"Give me another chance, and I'll kill them all!!"
'No matter the cost, I will kill them all! All of them!' he roared furiously in his heart, his facial features contorted in madness.
When Koster, who was running over, saw his expression, he was horrified. The person in front of him was no longer a marshal; he looked like a madman.
"Marshal!" he called out in great anxiety.
Clemento turned to look at him and suddenly burst into laughter.
