On the last day of July, Clemento, who had been waiting impatiently in the Roman Islands, finally saw the fleet of the Kingdom of Shenglu in the port.
Beside him, Federich, his face grim, watched the lead ships of the Rose Fleet entering the harbor, then turned to Clemento and said:
"These guys were quick to run away before, but this time they're as slow as snails when they set sail."
"It disgusts me."
Clemento's expression was also not good, but he still comforted them, "Alright, Federich, don't blame them too much. What's past is past."
"This time we must unite as one and work together to defeat the Yan Kingdom's navy. I don't want internal conflicts to arise before we even reach the South China Sea."
"Hmm," Federich replied curtly, then crossed his arms and turned to leave.
Watching his departing figure, Clemento frowned. Although the Kingdom of Shenglu and the Kingdom of Hunli had now ceased their war and were at peace with each other, they had been fighting each other just a few years ago, and the old grudges between the two countries had not been completely eliminated.
In normal times, this would not be a bad thing for the Sa Ri Kingdom, but now it is a time of war, and a war led by their own country. If conflicts arise among their subordinates at this time, it will undoubtedly have a certain impact on the subsequent battles.
During his time waiting in the Roman Islands, Clemento discovered that Federich's hostility towards the Sun Lu people had reached a worrying level. He wanted to go and advise him, but found that it was something he could not do.
The reason Federich's hostility toward the Sun Luns was due to the secret letter sent by Her Majesty the Queen.
'The defeat in the South China Sea campaign was partly due to the sudden withdrawal of the Rose Fleet.'
This statement intensified the Hunnic hostility. Clemento knew that Her Majesty the Queen wanted to pressure the Shenglu people to do this, but the statement undoubtedly angered the Hunnics. After all, they had a long-standing feud with the Shenglu people, and their withdrawal had led to the complete annihilation of the Sea Lion Fleet, which was truly infuriating.
'Perhaps I shouldn't have said that; now it seems this approach wasn't appropriate.' Clemento sighed inwardly, but still braced himself for the arrival of the Ascended.
After some time, as the lead ships that had sailed in entered the port, Clemento finally saw Lucat arrive.
Inside the fortress on the shore.
"Sorry to keep you waiting."
"We need to prepare a lot for this voyage, which is why we've been delayed."
As soon as he entered the room, Lucat took off his hat and gave the people sitting at the table an apologetic smile.
Federich sat in the chair, while Clemento stood with his back to Lucat, looking at the nautical chart hanging on the wall.
With his arms crossed, Federich squinted and grinned, saying, "Have you been preparing these supplies for your voyage for years?"
Lucat remained silent, and Federich continued, "With such a long preparation time and such a slow sailing speed, I think you should be able to reach the South China Sea by next summer."
"You'll need to prepare enough supplies for four or five years, haha."
His sarcasm did not anger Lucate; he remained calm. Clemento then turned around.
"Okay, stop joking around."
"Our operation will not take too long, and we do not need to prepare any extra supplies."
“Sit down, Lucate.”
Lucat glanced at the people sitting at the table. There weren't many people, but the epaulets on each of their uniforms indicated that they held high ranks.
Clemento, the second-in-command, pulled out a chair, and after Lucate sat down, he continued:
“The original plan was for us to set sail by the end of this month, but we are now behind schedule.” He gave Lucate a deep look.
"However, a few days' delay will not affect the voyage ahead, and I believe Marshal Lucate has used this time to make more thorough preparations," he said, looking at Lucate.
Lucat gave a low "hmm".
Seeing this, Clemento picked up a pine branch from the table, pointed to the hanging nautical chart, and said:
"As you can see, it is a long journey from the Roman Islands to Yan Kingdom, and if we do not encounter bad weather, I think we will arrive at the South China Sea controlled by Yan Kingdom around the end of September."
"Of course, as you all know, summer weather is unpredictable, so we'll probably need more time."
"In order to save time, in addition to our respective fleets, our Sa Ri Kingdom has sent a sufficient number of supply ships ahead of us. They will set up supply stations on the large islands we encounter in the first third of the voyage."
"This means that we can sail at full speed from now on without having to worry too much about resupply or the supplies needed for the return voyage. We will have someone to meet us, and the Salvation Congress will handle all of these matters."
"Good!" Federich was the first to shout "good," and then everyone else echoed him one after another.
Lucat thought to himself that the Kingdom of Sassa was making such a big move simply because it believed that "the more I do, the more I should gain." What was there to praise about that? It was all for profit.
Clemento cleared his throat and continued, "Originally, people from four countries should have been sitting here, but as you all know, the Delta Federation is on the continent of Salisno, so they cannot meet up with us. But that's alright, they will meet up with us midway through the voyage, at Charme Island."
