Chapter 682 The Sea Prison

Compared to Chalmers Island, Coral Island is by no means a large island. Its unique topography has prevented any country from ever landing on it. Of course, even without these reefs, Coral Island is not a place worth landing on.

Unlike Chalmers Island, which has a prominent sea jungle, Chalmers Island is not a very valuable island, which is enough to tell you that it is not a rich island.

From the sea, the Coral Island appears to be almost devoid of anything except exposed rocks, and in fact, that's pretty much the case. After arriving at the Coral Island a few days earlier, Edman discovered that he couldn't leave this harsh island without a warship, so he had to make "survival" his top priority.

There were thousands of soldiers who came to the island with him. The first thing Edman did was to have these soldiers scavenge the wreckage of warships on the coast to obtain some survival supplies. While searching for supplies, he also kept an eye on the sea.

After all, the Allied fleet and his men left on Chalmers Island had not yet arrived, and his escape depended entirely on them. He waited in anticipation for the Allied fleet to arrive, and successfully attracted their attention, but they pretended not to see him and chose to sit idly by and move away.

After the Allied fleet left, Edman was almost completely desperate.

If no one comes to rescue them, all the people on the island will starve to death. The supplies scavenged from the warship wreckage are far from enough to guarantee their food supply. If it weren't for the inland lake in the middle of the coral island that has accumulated a lot of fresh water, everyone would have died in less than half a month.

The departure of the Allied fleet plunged everyone into despair. Edman tried his best to calm the morale of the troops to prevent anyone from committing suicide, but at the same time, he gradually developed resentment towards the Allied fleet.

He even secretly cursed the Allied fleet, hoping they would suffer the same fate.

As for why he didn't want them to defeat the Yan Kingdom fleet, it was because after that naval battle, Edman knew that when the Allied fleet encountered the Yan Kingdom fleet, it would be absolutely unable to withstand their explosive shells and the attacks of those gunboats. Moreover, the enemy's ironclad ships had armored ramming horns on their bows, and the sheer brutality of the ramming alone would be enough to break wooden warships in two!

Therefore, when the Allied fleet chose to leave Coral Island and continue sailing forward, Clemento knew that unless a miracle occurred, they would suffer a crushing defeat.

And indeed, no miracle occurred. When the massive allied fleet reappeared, it was incomplete and had made the same tactical arrangements as before.

Upon seeing them arrive at Coral Island, Edelman's first order was for his soldiers to plunder supplies, which led to a small-scale conflict with the Huns.

Although the Huns had slightly more men than the Federation soldiers who landed on the island, they had been fighting in a panic all night and were now like stray dogs that had been chased onto the island, completely incapacitated.

Therefore, the conflict resulted in a victory for the Confederate soldiers, who overwhelmed the defeated Huns, kept them at bay on the coast, and did not even allow them to go to the center of the island.

This is exactly what Edelmann said to Federich at that moment:

"Welcome to my island, Marshal Federich."

Edelman declared the Delta Federation's sovereignty over Coral Island because they were the first to land on the island, and therefore the Delta Federation should rightfully be the owner of Coral Island.

Upon hearing this, Federich frowned. The soldier beside him crouched down and whispered in his ear, telling Federich everything that had happened since landing on the island.

After he finished speaking, Federich flew into a rage, jumped up from the ground, pointed at Edelman, and shouted:

"What are you doing?!"

"We're on the same side! Those damned Yan Kingdom people have put us in this situation; it's all their fault!"

"And yet you've done such a terrible thing to us!"

"You're absolutely insane!"

Faced with Federich's accusations, Edelman shook his head, then suddenly roared:

"So what? Just accept your current situation!"

"We're all trapped on this island! Without help, we can't leave!"

These shouts startled Federich, causing him to take two steps back and mutter to himself:

"No...no, it won't happen."

“We also have…” He turned and pointed to the small warships stranded on the shore, but stopped abruptly halfway through his sentence.

His pupils contracted rapidly, and several black dots appeared in his gaze as he stared at the sea. Federich froze.

"See?" Edman sneered.

"Do you think you're out of danger? No! The Yan people are at sea. They just haven't approached Coral Island yet, but they've left warships out in the distance to guard it!"

As he spoke, Edman's face contorted with rage, and he roared at the top of his lungs:

"If you dare to leave Coral Island, they will immediately launch an artillery barrage and destroy all warships, people, and everything else!"

He suddenly waved his hand, spun around, and continued to roar:

"What do you think this place is?!"

"This is our prison! We've become prisoners!"

"Do you really think their warships can't reach Coral Island? No! They could easily send out gunboats at high tide and attack directly! They haven't come simply because they don't want to!"

"They either have a bigger scheme, or they want to trap us all here!"

Edman's roar made Federich tremble all over, his face twitching uncontrollably. He asked tremblingly:

"Where...where is their fleet?"

"What...are they going to do?"

The Hunnic soldier beside him shook his head and sighed, "Marshal, their fleet is heading back the way we came; they must be chasing the Sunnis."

As soon as he finished speaking, Edman suddenly burst into maniacal laughter:

"Hahaha!"

"Just wait! You've already experienced the speed of the Yan Kingdom's warships. As long as they want to keep chasing, no one can escape their pursuit!"

"From now on, this sea will be ruled by them!"

Just then, a shout came from not far away: "General Winston is still alive!"

Federich turned his head and saw that there were several Pearl Fleet warships mixed in with the reefs. The Saars were salvaging the ships, but there were very few of them.

"Hahaha! Great!"

"If the Shenglu people could come here too, then we could all gather together!"

"Our united front! Hahaha." Edman chuckled sinisterly, then looked at Federich:

"Marshal Federich, I've heard that you Huns are very skilled at fishing?"

Seeing that sinister smile, Federich keenly sensed an uneasy atmosphere and said urgently:

"What do you mean?!"
