Coral Island at dusk.
In the camp near the inland lake, the Goths gathered together. They were ragged and emaciated, but their deep-set eyes held an exceptionally fierce gaze.
They gripped various cold weapons tightly in their hands, including spears, rapiers, javelins, sledgehammers, and battle axes. Some people also carried muskets, but due to the lack of gunpowder, these muskets were only used as melee weapons.
The reason for this was that, under Edelman's orders, they were preparing to head to the west coast that night to launch an attack on the Huns entrenched there.
This is a battle we must win; only by defeating the Huns can we ensure their survival.
However, just as they finished assembling and were about to head over, they saw a vast fleet of warships on the sea surface under the afterglow of the setting sun.
Edman said with a stern face:
"Bring me the binoculars!"
The guard beside him handed him the binoculars, and Edman looked at the sea. His face darkened as he confirmed that it was indeed the Yan Kingdom's fleet.
During the time they were refugees, the Yan Kingdom only deployed dozens of warships around Coral Island to monitor the island, and they did not take any action. But today, their fleet appeared at sea, and it is clear that they are going to take action against the people on the island.
Upon seeing the enemy fleet again, Edman was not too afraid. He had had enough of the harsh environment on the island. If the Yan people wanted to land, he would fight them to the death and have no regrets even if he died in battle.
Thinking of this, the attack that was originally intended to target the Huns became insignificant. Just as Edelman was about to put down the binoculars, his body suddenly trembled.
Behind the Yan Kingdom's fleet, there seems to be another fleet!
He quickly focused his gaze, staring intently at the sea without blinking.
The distance was still far, and after waiting for a while, the view behind the Yan Kingdom fleet gradually became clear, and Edman finally saw that behind the Yan Kingdom fleet was actually the Rose Fleet of the Sheng Lu Kingdom!
"It's them?! The Shenglu people!" Edman exclaimed in surprise.
He knew that the reason the Yan Kingdom people had ignored the people on Coral Island was because they had gone to chase the Rose Fleet. Once the Rose Fleet was caught up with, it would not be spared and would be defeated.
But the Rose Fleet that we see now seems to be unharmed. Their fleet is still huge, with at least several hundred warships of all sizes. It doesn't look like they've been through a naval battle at all.
"Could it be that...?"
"The Shenglu people surrendered? The Yan people brought them back as prisoners?" Edman immediately made this judgment.
But he still couldn't be sure, because in the last battle in the South China Sea, the Yan people had massacred everyone.
Thinking of this, Edman's face darkened, then he let out a cold laugh:
"Do you cunning Shenglu people think that surrendering is enough? The Yan people are going to send you to Coral Island to be executed!"
He was certain of this conjecture, so he stopped the group and said, "Hold off for now and see if the Yan people will land on the island!"
"If they land on the island... be prepared to fight them!" His face was grim, as if he were ready to die.
——
Another coastline.
Federich, standing on a high point, was also looking out at the sea through binoculars.
Compared to the day he arrived on the island, Federich has lost a lot of weight, but his sunken cheeks are flushed red, and his anger is palpable.
"These bastards! How did they come back with those Yan Guo bastards!"
"Could they have betrayed us and defected to the enemy?!"
Winston, who was standing next to him and was also looking at the sea, said in a deep voice, "The Yan people did not attack the Rose Fleet, so the Sheng Lu people must have surrendered voluntarily."
"But surrendering is useless; the brutal Yan people will never let them go."
Federich clenched his fist violently; he was furious beyond measure.
"Shameless! Those damned Shenglu people! Didn't they see what the Yan people did to us?!"
"These bastards, how could they surrender?!"
"We should never have let the Sheng Lu people join our alliance in the first place! They're utterly useless! They ran away in the South China Sea last time, and this time they even surrendered to the enemy!!"
"Those sons of bitches!"
"Did they fire a single shell on this voyage?! Those damned cowards!"
Seeing Federich's anger, Winston sighed, "Even if they fight the Yan people, they have absolutely no chance of winning."
Upon hearing this, Federich lowered the binoculars and turned to Winston, shouting angrily:
"You mean surrendering was the right thing to do?! How dare you defend those damned Shenglu people?!"
“I told Clemento about their character long ago, but he completely ignored it!”
"If we had sent the Rose Fleet to probe the Yan Kingdom's fleet from the beginning, we wouldn't have ended up like this!"
"Now that the Shenglu people have surrendered! Can't you even recognize their true colors?!"
"madness!"
Faced with Federich's roar, Winston lowered his gloomy face and said in a low voice, "I'm not making excuses for them, I'm just stating the facts."
"Fedrich, you don't need to get so agitated."
Upon hearing this, Federich's eyes widened, and he roared, "My fleet has been almost completely destroyed by the Yan people! Those damned Shenglu people slunk away with their tails between their legs, and now they've defected to the enemy!"
"I see you're quite philosophical about it! No wonder you can't command anyone! What coalition? They're nothing but bullshit!"
"The Shenglu people have betrayed us, and the Goths are bullying us from within! They've even dared to shit on our heads! What have you done? You can't do anything! Humph!"
