A secluded place.
Lucat stood with his hands behind his back, looking at Edman expressionlessly:
What are you trying to say?
Edman frowned, pondered for a moment, and then slowly said, "Marshal Lucat, the Yan people won this naval battle and fully demonstrated their naval strength."
"The warships they possess are, frankly, far superior to even the most advanced warships in our Delta Federation, and I think the Sasiri Kingdom no longer has the strength to fight them at sea."
Lucate raised an eyebrow: "After this battle, is there anyone who doesn't know? Do I need you to remind me?"
Edelman shook his head and said, "I'm not trying to warn you, I just want to say that when the brutal Yan people have such a powerful navy, they will never just think about guarding their own territory."
"These people will surely lead their fleets to dominate the seas and threaten our country. Their claim that the war is over is clearly a lie."
"Whether they treat us as prisoners of war or let you go back, it is by no means merciful; they have a bigger plan."
Upon hearing this, Lucat pursed his lips and chuckled softly.
"Marshal Lucat?" Edelman asked, puzzled.
Lucat pursed his lips and said, "I think you're right, that's what I think too."
Upon hearing this, Edman breathed a sigh of relief, his tense expression easing considerably. He continued:
"Marshal Lucat is indeed a smart man; he was not deceived by the Yan people's feigned sincerity."
Lucate added, "Of course, if the Yan people weren't currently in the lead and we weren't powerless to fight back, why would I have surrendered, let alone agreed to their shameless demands?"
"There's nothing I can do about it. I'm helpless, but I have to accept it." He shrugged and sighed softly.
Edman nodded and agreed, "Yes, if I were in your position, I would have done the same."
"The brutal nature of the Yan people was already demonstrated last time, and in addition to their brutality, they are also very cunning. We must be careful when dealing with them."
"If you're not careful, you'll fall into their trap."
Lucat looked at him with agreement and replied:
“Marshal Edelman, you are indeed different from those Saurians and Huns. I am forced to obey the Yan people now, which is something I have no choice but to do, but I see that they do not understand at all.”
“Although they don’t say anything to my face, I know they’re definitely cursing me behind my back, humph.” As he spoke, Lucate crossed his arms and gave a displeased snort.
Edelman continued, “The Sasir Kingdom is powerful and has been the hegemon of the Leon Continent for many years. They have always been the ones who win wars, and they have also lost a few times. Of course, these Sasir people cannot accept their current status as prisoners of war. They have always been arrogant and conceited.”
"As for those Huns, they're just a bunch of idiots, nothing to say about them."
Lucat nodded and smiled, "Marshal Edelman has just said what's on my mind."
Edelman chuckled as well.
At this moment, Lucate suddenly changed the subject, saying, "Marshal Edelman, you specifically asked to meet with me alone, surely it wasn't just to talk about these things?"
Upon hearing this, Edman's expression gradually became serious. He had only been trying to ascertain the extent of the relationship between Lucat and the Yan people.
If they are truly willing to become the lackeys of the Yan Kingdom, then the news that the Second Fleet is en route must not be leaked.
But it seems that Lucat is not a fool. This young man also knows that the Yan people are just using them. Their relationship with the Yan country is not close. As he said, he is just being coerced by the Yan people.
Then, at this point, you can ask him to deliver the message.
Thinking of this, Edman said in a low voice:
"Actually, there's something I'd like to ask Marshal Lucate for help with."
Upon hearing this, Lucat frowned and said in a deep voice:
"Marshal Edelman, I think I've been generous enough regarding survival supplies, so I don't think you're asking me for extra help in this regard."
"We are now all controlled by the Yan people, and you should be very clear about our situation."
"Although we are in a slightly better position than you, if the Yan people go back on their word, my fleet will be sunk tonight."
"So...please understand my predicament, I'm afraid I can't provide you with any help other than survival supplies."
After he finished speaking, Edman's anxiety gradually subsided. The man in front of him was indeed very intelligent; he could think of many things with just a few words.
His caution and prudence are definitely in his own best interest.
He chuckled and said, "No, Marshal Lucate, it's not as you think, that it would jeopardize the help of your Rose Fleet."
"It's just a very simple little thing."
Lucate frowned. "Oh? What is it?"
By this point, Edelman was completely certain that Lucart could be trusted, so he no longer held back and stated frankly:
"That's right. Actually, we also have a second fleet on its way. They were originally going to land directly in Yan Kingdom after our victory."
Upon hearing this, Lucat was startled, and Edelman, seeing his shocked face, continued:
"We failed, so the entire battle plan will be overturned. But the Second Fleet is on its way and they have no idea what's going on here. So once they encounter the Yan Kingdom's fleet, it will inevitably trigger a new round of naval battle."
