On the afternoon of the same day, December 19th, in the Kingdom of Sari, the capital city of Garnat.
As the evening sun shone down, the most magnificent palace on the entire continent of Leon, the Champagne Palace, shone like a dazzling jewel.
Brand new flags fluttered in the wind atop the towering tower, and the vast Place de Champagne, surrounded by several palaces, was filled with vibrant flowers that bloomed so passionately that it seemed as if it were not winter, but a lively spring.
Among these thousands of potted plants, there are more than fifty varieties, with the most numerous being the pansies, a favorite of the Queen.
In the past, only violets were displayed in Champagne Square. However, after the Queen ascended the throne, the status of the Kingdom of Sassa rose, and the soldiers collected seeds of winter flowers from all over the continent. They even brought back flowers unique to the continent of Feni. As a result, the beautiful scene that looks like spring has arrived is presented today.
The flowers were filled in the Champs-Élysées at dawn, and the reason for decorating the square so beautifully was to welcome the empire's warriors who were fighting abroad.
At midday, an award ceremony had just been held beneath the Queen's statue in the square of Champs-Élysées, honoring the senior officers of the Falcon Fleet who had just returned from the continent of Feni.
They had been away from their homeland for almost two years, carrying out missions in the waters near the continent of Feni. Naturally, their return home was met with the grandest welcome and the highest level of recognition.
The lively welcoming ceremony and investiture ceremony had all concluded in the afternoon, and the supreme commander of the Falcon Fleet, Eddington, who had just been awarded the rank of admiral, arrived at the Queen's council chamber.
Good afternoon, Your Majesty.
Eddington, who was not yet fifty but whose temples were already streaked with gray, bowed and greeted Isabella before him.
"Good afternoon, General Eddington."
"It's so nice to see you back. We haven't seen each other for two years, and I've been looking forward to this day." Isabella said with a faint smile.
Eddington, whose face was covered in wrinkles, also smiled upon hearing this:
"Thank you for your concern, Your Majesty. You are still as young and beautiful as ever, unlike me, who has aged a lot."
Upon hearing this, Isabella adopted a slightly shy expression.
Eddington then said:
“We have achieved good results in the past two years. Now, 75 islands have become our overseas territories, and those are all very valuable islands.”
"However, to make full use of them, we need to send more warships."
Isabella nodded and said, "Yes, but now that we have it in our hands, what we need most for further development is time."
Eddington agreed, but hesitated before saying:
"I'm so glad to be back this time, but after learning about what happened with the Blazing Sun Fleet... sigh." He touched his forehead and sighed softly.
Upon hearing this, Isabella's smile faded slightly, and she said, "That's all in the past. We can only remember the soldiers who sacrificed their lives."
Eddington nodded. "They deserve respect."
At this point, he added in a low voice:
"But this is a tragedy that should never have happened."
"Despite the previous intelligence being incorrect, we must not be careless in order to conquer a distant country. We need to be fully prepared before we can embark on an expedition."
"Just like the continent of Feni, everyone knows that the Nino people are barbaric and uncivilized, and they don't even have a decent army. But even so, we encountered considerable resistance in the early stages of our conquest."
Even today, there are still resistance groups on the continent of Feni. These people are always eliminated one group and another group emerges.
Hearing this, Isabella's expression gradually became serious, and she asked, "Is the situation serious?"
Seeing the strange look on her face, Eddington shook his head and said, "No, Your Majesty, it's not that bad, it's not serious at all. In fact, they can't do anything at all."
"But it's always difficult to cure completely, it's troublesome, and it can be a headache at times."
“But I think…” He paused for a moment, his gaze turning cold in an instant, and then said, “When this generation of Nino people grows old, their next generation will not have people like them anymore.”
"And two generations later, those people will forever be our property."
"Everything about them is."
Upon hearing this, Isabella smiled again, a warm and gentle smile that, combined with her smooth and beautiful face, resembled the violets still in bloom in the Champs-Élysées.
"Very well, since you put it that way, then everything is under our control."
"Now, General Eddington, in addition to considering that you have been away for a long time and need to return home to reunite with your families, I also hope that after you get through this winter, next spring, at the earliest mid-March or at the latest late March, you can take your fleet to Yan Kingdom to carry out a new round of colonization plans."
After he finished speaking, Eddington simply nodded slightly and said:
"Very well, Your Majesty, I will follow your arrangements."
Seeing his lack of enthusiasm, Isabella said, "General Eddington, this time is different from the past. Although the Sunfire Fleet suffered an unexpected heavy blow, the Dawn and Pearl Fleets that I subsequently appointed will perfectly execute the overseas operation and join forces with the coalition of other countries to defeat the Yan Kingdom's navy."
