Chapter 738 For Whom the Bell Tolls Part II



Now, on the chariot pulled by twelve warhorses, von Palen, dressed in New Year's attire, sits high in the center. This chariot is specially made, standing four meters off the ground. The chariot is entirely black and made of refined iron, giving it a fierce appearance. The soldiers driving the chariot are also carefully selected; they are tall and imposing, nearly two meters tall, and just getting close to them inspires fear.

Behind the lead vehicle were normal-sized war chariots, upon which stood high-ranking federal generals. On either side of the convoy followed Imperial knights, dressed in gleaming gold armor, wielding traditional spears, each tall and imposing, exuding an aura of power.

This convoy did not appear luxurious, but rather hard and sharp, like the large spikes protruding from the lead vehicle, displaying the word "force" inside and out.

The road leading to St. Marienplatz was already crowded with people, who excitedly followed the motorcade, shouting with passion.

Gustav, standing on the chariot behind the lead vehicle, gripped the railing tightly. He was already somewhat drunk, and the cold wind outside made him feel dizzy.

But soon, the cheers from the surrounding crowd made Gustav unable to contain his excitement. He waved his arms and drunkenly cheered to the people:

"Our empire is about to enter a new year!!"

His face was flushed, he laughed heartily, waving his arms violently, and shouting increasingly wildly:

"Forward!"

"Forward!"

Gustav's appearance was observed by the crowd. Although he seemed somewhat drunk, wasn't that how it should be on the eve of a joyous New Year?

The crowd was caught up in the excitement; they ran after the convoy, waving their arms and shouting with broad smiles.

"Forward!"

"Forward!!"
