"So how bad is it?" he asked, picking up a metal can next to the fire and drinking some warm water.
The young soldier looked up at Harris, and after a two-second silence, gave an unnatural smile and said:
"Sir, in addition to bringing back some supplies, General Dylan from the pass has sent another batch of explosives."
"But they haven't arrived yet. We'll have to wait until the afternoon. The wind is very strong today, making it difficult to climb the mountain, especially to transport such heavy things." The soldier finished speaking and rubbed his wrinkled face.
"Really? It's gotten to that point." Harris put down his cup and let out a long sigh.

Harris nodded, tucked his swollen, red hand into his clothes, leaned against the rock wall, and asked slowly:
"They might not be able to hold out, right?"

Before he could finish speaking, Harris abruptly interrupted, "If that's the case, then why bring up explosives in the first place?"
