Chapter 903 The Emperor's Blood 7

Bowerman's rebuke did not stop Wolfgang. His face darkened, and he snapped at one of his subordinates beside him:

"Order the National Guard to escort His Majesty away from here immediately!"

As soon as he finished speaking, amidst shouts from the officers, the National Guard in brown uniforms rushed over. This infuriated Bowerman, who immediately roared:

Wolfgang! Don't cause trouble! We'll get His Majesty out of here!

Wolfgang seemed not to hear Bowerman's words. He began to back away, but the National Guard swarmed behind him. In front of Bowerman were the Storm Special Combat Team, who still formed a tight human wall to prevent the National Guard from getting close.

"Wolfgang! Wolfgang!" Bowerman called out repeatedly, but Wolfgang was nowhere to be seen; he had disappeared into the crowd.

So the two groups of people squeezed together in a chaotic mess.

Just then, a cold, stern voice rang out from beneath Bowerman:

"Whoever causes trouble is a traitor."

Bowerman lowered his head and saw von Palenna's icy face. Bowerman's face grew even colder, and he said in a low voice:

"Yes, Your Majesty."

Feng Palen said indifferently, "Take me back to the Royal Castle and have the special forces suppress all the rebels."

Bowerman agreed, then looked up and yelled at the National Guard opposite him, "Are you trying to stop His Majesty from leaving?! Don't you want His Majesty to receive medical treatment?!"

"Get out of the way immediately!"

This loud shout truly startled many of the guards. They looked at Bowerman blankly, then turned to look at their superiors behind them.

Among the officers behind him, a young officer with his hat brim pulled low suddenly shouted:

"The assassin has an inside man! He's inside the Storm Special Combat Team, and we need to take over! We'll escort His Majesty away!"

"What are you all standing there for?! Get moving!"

These sudden words made the guards tense, and they immediately launched an attack on the human wall formed by the Storm Special Combat Team.

Upon hearing this, Bowerman immediately shouted angrily, "Get out of the way! His Majesty is right here! Who is talking nonsense!"

But the National Guard had no time to worry about that. In just a few seconds, they broke through the human wall in the shoving and pushing. The Storm Special Combat Team soldiers had their hands on their guns, but Bowerman hesitated to give the order to use his weapons. They could only block with their bodies.

Meanwhile, the onlookers were completely bewildered. In their view, the assassin had been captured, so why were the Storm Special Combat Team and the National Defense Guard crammed together in such a chaotic manner?

They quickly got the answer.

"The assassin has an inside man!! The assassin has an inside man!"

"Within the Storm Special Combat Team, someone conspired with the assassins! They deliberately created openings for the assassins to commit their crimes!!!"

Amid the chaos, several voices emerged, shouting at the crowd, which immediately left the bewildered people bewildered and uncertain.

In fact, less than fifteen minutes had passed since the Emperor stepped onto the stage, yet he had been assassinated by two waves of assassins in that short time.

Before the gathering began, the Storm Special Combat Team, the National Guard, and the police force deployed a large number of personnel for security. Despite such tight security, assassins still managed to infiltrate the area and approach the Emperor to launch assassination attempts, some even nearly succeeding. This seems quite suspicious now.

The first assassin, in particular, charged onto the stage with a dagger. There were several Storm Special Combat Team guards on guard in front of the stage, but the assassin easily knocked them aside and even stabbed the Emperor.

It happened so suddenly that I didn't have time to think about it at the time, but now that I think about it carefully, it's almost impossible and should never have happened.

How could an assassin have gotten to the Emperor's side with so many guards on guard?

Would the Storm Special Combat Team, known for its decisive and ruthless actions and formidable combat capabilities, suddenly make such a huge mistake?

As suspicions grew, the people began to feel uneasy as they looked at the black wall of people.

Of course, Bowerman heard these voices as well as the general public.

"A bunch of bastards!" he cursed through gritted teeth.

With a cold expression, Von Palen said in a deep voice, "I have to step forward and let them hear my voice."

"Not yet, Your Majesty. The moment you show yourself, someone will seize the opportunity to assassinate you. We must get you back into the carriage first," Bowerman said anxiously, then sternly addressed the guards beside him:

"Break these bastards through! Anyone who tries to stop us, shoot them immediately..."

Before he could finish speaking, Von Palen interrupted immediately: "No! You absolutely cannot fire!"

Bowerman looked anxious and said, "Your Majesty, but..."

Feng Palen interrupted angrily, "Idiot, what will the people think if you let them fire first?"

Upon hearing this, Bowerman was jolted awake, only then belatedly realizing the consequences of firing the gun, and he broke out in a cold sweat.

"No need to rush, everything is still under control. Just let the special forces clear the area and take over," Feng Palen said coldly.

As von Palen said, the police force that had been arranged to maintain order outside the square was already dispersing the crowd, and the emergency special forces were also heading toward the podium.

At today's rally, only one-fifth of the defense guards were allowed to enter.
