Chapter 917 Blooming

From the once weak Kingdom of Golt to the now mighty Delta Federation that dominates the continent of Salisno and has conquered all nations, the Eagle of the Empire has been a constant presence throughout the history of the Golt people.

Because it has wings, it is not bound by the ground and can soar freely through the sky, endlessly pursuing the freedom it desires. Its sharp eyes can see clearly even the smallest details of everything from high above, giving it foresight and wisdom. Its claws are not only as sharp as knives, but also possess an indestructible and powerful strength.

Possessing freedom, wisdom, and power, it became the aspiration of every Goth. People revered it, and it became a burning mark, etched on the body of every Goth.

But at this moment, when the Imperial Eagle on this coin came into the sight of the Goths.

What should have been a symbol of beauty transformed in an instant into something grotesque and terrifying, causing everyone's pupils to contract with intense fear.

Ding Ge, who called out "Blue Hibiscus" but ultimately chose the wrong option, had his distorted expression completely frozen. His eyes were wide open, and fine red blood vessels instantly filled his eyeballs.

He stared in terror at the Imperial Eagle, which seemed to have come alive, flapping its wings on the coin and emitting a sharp whistling sound from its open beak, which pierced his ears.

The sharp, knife-like claws had already extended from the edge of the coin, and the wings flapped faster and faster, causing a fierce wind to rage and sand to fly, which brought tears uncontrollably to Dingle's eyes.

Before he could even blink, the grotesque creature covered in black wings emerged. Its small size rapidly expanded as it emerged, becoming so enormous as to be terrifying. Dingle stared at the hideous monster in horror, his whole body trembling violently.

With a whoosh, it suddenly spread its wings and hovered high in the sky. Its pitch-black body completely blocked out the sun behind it, and thick plumes of black smoke rose into the sky beside it. Dinger was panting heavily, but he couldn't get a breath of fresh air. The strong smell of gunpowder had already blocked his mouth and nose.

So he could only look at the hideous monster with utter despair. Every black feather on its outstretched wings was like a bayonet on a gun, and on its enormous head, two blood-red eyes were looking down at the earth with a deathly gaze like that of a demon.

Suddenly, it raised its neck, opened its iron-like beak, and a blood-red tongue stretched out. In an instant, a deafening and ferocious sound resounded throughout the heavens and the earth.

'Bang bang bang!!'

'Boom boom boom!!'

The sound of gunfire and artillery bombardment was deafening. Dingle trembled and covered his ears, but the sounds were everywhere, as if they were growing inside his brain. He cried and wailed, but he couldn't even hear his own voice. It was as if only the sound of gunfire existed in the world.

Amidst the endless sounds of gunfire, Dingle was devastated to discover that beneath the monster, the massive Wall of Saint-Marie was growing increasingly red. This colossal structure, built to protect the people, was seeping blood from the inside out, the blood gradually staining the entire Wall of Saint-Marie crimson.

Countless spiderweb-like cracks gradually appeared on the blood-red wall, while the hideous creature flapped its wings once more and slammed into the Wall of Saint Marin.

Its tail fins were burning with intense flames, like a cannonball with its fuse lit, speeding through the air, with thick smoke billowing out of its body, almost blotting out the sky.

"No!!" Dingle cried out silently.

However, the next moment, with a loud 'boom,' the Wall of Saint Marin was smashed to pieces. Every piece of the wall collapsed and disintegrated, and endless blood gushed out from the wall, forming a sea of blood that violently surged into the city.

The city's buildings collapsed in a sea of blood. Women, children, the elderly, and young people were all swept into the blood amidst their cries, their flesh corroded away in an instant, and countless skeletons floated in the blood. Meanwhile, the sky, which had been obscured by the light, was completely covered by millions of imperial eagles.

Darkness swept in, and Dingle collapsed to the ground, as desperate as a body whose soul had been ripped out.

Qin Ze looked at Dingle, whose eyes were wide open as if he were already dead, then raised his gaze to the Goths who were lying on the ground, trembling and wailing. He held the coin in his palm and said:

"I saw it all."

"This is the destiny you yourselves have chosen."

As soon as he finished speaking, Wolfgang was too exhausted to even plead. He looked at the countless gun barrels and knew that this was the cruel reality.

The last glimmer of hope vanished in this final choice, and he fell into utter despair. He instinctively crawled on the ground, clawing at the earth, until he reached his son, whose face was ashen. He held him in his arms, awaiting the bullet that was about to be fired.

Immediately afterwards, Qin Ze raised his hand, and the next moment, the Yan soldiers with their guns pulled the trigger.

The others, lying on the ground, wept in despair. Wolfgang lowered his head, reached out and stroked his son's pale face, tears streaming down his face.

Tears streamed down her face, and Dingle's unfocused gaze slowly sharpened, settling on Wolfgang's face.

"I'm sorry... Father... It's my fault," he groaned, his pale lips moving.

“Child, this is a mistake we made together... We are all guilty.” Wolfgang bit his lower lip, but he couldn’t stop the tears from falling from his eyes.

"Are you done talking?"

Upon hearing this sudden interruption, Wolfgang turned around and saw Qin Ze walking towards him.

“Before flipping the coin, I asked you if you had prayed to the gods you believe in.”
