The pain of childbirth had lasted for far too long, coming in waves. Even though she had practiced martial arts since childhood and was much stronger than the average woman, Qin Changge was still tormented to the point of mental confusion. However, she heard Lin Wan's words clearly and distinctly.

The midwives all looked at Lin Wan, whose eyes were filled with tears, feeling uneasy. After all, everyone knew that the Emperor Emeritus had been poisoned to death by the Jin family, and now the Imperial Concubine had said such a thing. This was something that absolutely could not be mentioned in front of the Empress Dowager.
However, at this moment, Lin Wan held Qin Changge's hand tightly, holding back her tears, and said:
"Mother promises you, I will come to see you every day from now on."

"Hang in there, give birth to the baby. I want to see you both safe and sound. I'll help you raise the child from now on."

Although they knew that the Imperial Concubine was always unconventional, the midwives were still terrified when they heard her call the unborn dragon child "little bastard," and their faces turned pale with fright.

Just then, Qin Ze, who had just finished bathing and changing, stepped into the palace and happened to hear these words. As soon as Qing'er saw Qin Ze, she rushed over, grabbed his hand, and said with tears in her eyes.
"That's wonderful, Your Majesty! You've arrived! The Empress, she..."
Qin Ze nodded and rushed to the bedside. Lin Wan, who was standing nearby, immediately said, "Girl, he's here."

Qin Ze's face was deathly pale, but he didn't even dare to look at her, standing there blankly like a wooden stake.

Qin Ze, however, was unwilling to leave, and said with a pained expression, "Mother, I..."
