First, I want to apologize to everyone. I haven't written the promised side story yet, and I'm really sorry. But it's not because I'm lazy or negligent (? _ ?)
In fact, I had already conceived the basic idea of the new book a month or two before the end of "The Fiefdom". After it ended, except for a few days during the Chinese New Year, I spent every day of the past two months preparing for the new book. I really put all my heart and soul into the new book, which made it impossible for me to concentrate on writing the side stories. Therefore, the side stories have been delayed for a long time, and I am very sorry for that.
But I simply couldn't do two things at once. The new book's vast world-building, character designs, brand-new power system, and those suspenseful plot twists had completely occupied my attention.
As stated in the author's closing remarks for "Fengdi," "Fengdi" was an immature work with a drastically different style in its beginning and end, while the new book is a work that I wanted to present to readers for their evaluation after I had developed my own style.
This makes me a little uneasy, after all, the new book isn't the kind of mindless, face-slapping, and mindless fun kind of content. In the mainstream market for books, it's almost the opposite, so it might very well be a box office flop ≡(▔﹏▔)≡
But I still want to write. My predecessors dared to take a step forward and write books with unique styles. I think I should also give it a try. After all, I'm still young. If I really can't even afford to eat one day, then I'll just follow the market and write light novels.
Speaking of the new book, I haven't completely decided on the title yet. "Obsessed with Immortals" is a very traditional title, one that I thought would be bad at first glance. So I came up with a slightly more Tomato-style title: "Slaying Demons and Monsters, Killing Gods and Devouring Immortals." I'm still debating which one to choose.
Then there's the content. Learning from the experience with "Fallen Territories," I've tried to build up the character depth in the synopsis of the new book as much as possible. Those who like it can take a look. The writing style won't change, and neither will the characters. Important characters will never be superficial; they will be fully developed. However, unlike "Fallen Territories," the protagonist of the new book will definitely take up the most space and will not be a character who is simply absent from the story (laughs).
The plot is a bit slow-paced, since this is a traditional story, but it will definitely not be bland or boring. On the contrary, it is full of ups and downs, and I will try to update more often, unlike before when I dragged my feet.
In addition, readers familiar with my writing style should know that reading certain parts of my books feels like watching a TV series or movie. The new book will continue this style and will be further developed, giving everyone a movie-like experience. I am confident that I can achieve this!
This concludes the general introduction to the new book. All readers are cordially invited to read it, and I hope it will provide you with an extraordinary experience. (?′?`?)
The following is the full description:
[No system, not a pure wish-fulfillment novel, unconventional cultivation novel, high martial arts with low mysticism, suspenseful, with a touch of the bizarre and unpredictable, ensemble cast, and detailed character portrayals.]
[This requires some critical reading. Those who prefer straightforward, fast-paced stories may not find it suitable, but you can read a few chapters as a sample. If it doesn't suit your taste, please be kind with your comments. Thank you!]
The colossal evil that escaped from the Netherworld revealed its bloody teeth to the human world, while the esoteric sects hidden on the frontiers invoked the heavens and spirits, secretly engaging in lewd rituals.
Demons and monsters roam the Central Plains, drinking blood and devouring flesh, while the ancient creatures of the northern lands yearn to ascend to the heavens.
A colossal creature from the desolate land slowly opened its strange eyes from within a bottomless ravine, gazing indifferently at all living things.
A dynasty in peril thrives after its emperor's downfall; the nation is in turmoil; martial arts masters flee their lairs; and gods and ghosts roam freely...
The once prosperous and peaceful dynasty is now decaying and falling into ruin, while the isolated tribes in dire straits are burning in purgatory.
When the world is turned upside down, the sun and moon reversed, and eternal night descends, where will the divine mandate to save us from suffering be?
The boy, born from the belly of a deep-sea monster, swallowed the flesh and blood in his mouth, stood atop the monster's ripped, towering body, and pointed his sword at the heavens:
"A bunch of demons and evil spirits, daring to dream of becoming immortals?"
"All of it, enter my belly!"
Volume 1, "The Licentious Sacrifice in a Lonely Village," is currently being serialized...
All living beings suffer.
Only by offering up one's own flesh and blood as a boat can one cross the sea of suffering.
They used bones to build ladders and cast celestial platforms.
Only then can one reach the Kingdom of God and attain Nirvana.
