The next day, at the Foreign Affairs Building.
"Knock knock".
“Your Majesty, it’s time for us to depart.” Eddington knocked gently on the door.
A moment later, Isabella, with a faint smile on her face, opened the door and walked out.
The group immediately went downstairs, where a shuttle car was waiting. Eddington led Isabella into one of the cars.
After closing the car door, Eddington, who had taken off his hat, gave a wry smile: "Your Majesty, these past two days have felt like I've entered another world."
“Yes, I feel the same way. There are so many novel things, like this self-driving car…” Isabella said, touching the armrest.
Eddington pinched his swollen brow and sighed softly.
“You seem quite down,” Isabella said calmly, looking at Eddington’s tired face.
Eddington opened his mouth but hesitated to speak.
"Say what you want to say." Isabella looked away from the window.
The streets were exceptionally wide and clean, with hardly any pedestrians, as if there were no important events taking place today.
"The development and construction here has far exceeded my expectations," Eddington said in a low voice, as if he were sighing.
Isabella turned her gaze from the window to Eddington's disappointed face.
After a few seconds of silence, she smiled and said, "That's why we need to build friendships even more."
“At the beginning of the year, when I proposed this idea, there were even quite a few people in the parliament who opposed it.”
Eddington looked up at Isabella, his gaze filled with respect:
"You have always been the most visionary person."
"When did you start using flattering words?" Isabella teased.
Eddington shook his head with a wry smile.
Isabella composed herself and said seriously, "After returning home, I will convey to the members of parliament everything I have seen and heard here without any discrepancy."
“I think this will make them fully sober.”
Upon hearing this, Eddington solemnly agreed and exclaimed, "No one will have any more illusions now."
Isabella nodded slightly and murmured, "Peace is the only way for a nation to survive..."
As she spoke, she changed the subject, a bright smile spreading across her face:
"His Majesty the Emperor told me last night that today's military parade will be very special."
"I think he's definitely going to show off some military equipment that we haven't seen before."
Eddington nodded with a complicated expression.
Isabella covered her rosy lips, winked playfully, and said in a low voice:
“When he talked to me about these things last night, he spoke very casually, as if he were talking about something insignificant.”
“But I could sense that he had an undisguised sense of pride.” Isabella smiled as she said this.
Eddington, however, couldn't bring himself to laugh.
I don't even quite understand why Her Majesty the Queen seems to be in a good mood.
The stronger the Yan Kingdom becomes, the greater the threat it poses.
Although His Majesty the Emperor said that Yan Kingdom was a peace-loving country.
But which monarch hasn't said this at some point in their life?
Putting aside these distracting thoughts, Eddington took a deep breath and pondered:
"You'll see soon, Your Majesty."
"I hope to broaden my horizons," Isabella said, pursing her lips.
Shortly after, we arrived at the venue.
The military parade was held at the port.
As soon as Isabella got out of the car, she saw Qin Ze talking with the Delta Federation envoy at the entrance.
She immediately lifted her skirt and walked over quickly.
Qin Ze had already noticed this and immediately ended the conversation.
“Your Majesty, holding a military parade at the port is truly a unique event,” Isabella said with a smile.
Qin Ze smiled faintly: "Then you've seen it for yourself today."
Isabella smiled gently.
"Let's go. We need to stand high enough to see further," Qin Ze said calmly, leading the guests onto the already erected reviewing stand.
"It may be a bit presumptuous of me, but I do have some doubts, and I wonder if you would be willing to answer them?" Isabella approached Qin Ze on the wide steps and said.
"Queen Isabella, you are truly a woman with a boundless curiosity. You already asked many questions last night," Qin Ze said calmly.
"Sorry, then never mind." Isabella smiled apologetically.
"Speak."
Isabella immediately asked in a low voice, "I don't see any army troops. Does this mean the army won't be reviewed in this parade?"
Upon hearing this, Qin Ze paused slightly, then turned and smiled:
"Yes, there will be no army review this time."
"But next time...maybe."
As they spoke, they arrived at their seats. Qin Ze sat in the center, and the guests took their places one after another.
The reviewing stand is situated on a high position, facing southeast, with a clear view of the vast ocean ahead.
The weather was clear and sunny that day, without a single cloud in the sky.
However, the guests couldn't help but have some doubts. Judging from their location, this parade was clearly an inspection of the navy.
However, from this vantage point, the warships on the dock did not appear to be lined up.
Not long after they were seated, a beautiful young woman carrying a pipa led a group of musicians in.
Qin Ze laughed loudly, "I already played a piece for you all yesterday."
"Now we cordially invite you to enjoy the second piece, which is also the opening piece of our military parade."
As soon as he finished speaking, the guests in the seats immediately perked up.
Yesterday's performance of "General's Command" was magnificent and breathtaking.
Today, the music played by this young and beautiful lady will surely have a different charm.
Of course, even setting aside the music she was about to play, the young lady herself was amazing enough.
She possesses a unique beauty.
She wore a fiery red dress, covered with a layer of sheer red gauze.
Her eyebrows were slender and long like willow leaves, and her phoenix eyes were slightly upturned at the corners. She should have been full of charm, but her expression was calm and serene.
Her lips were tightly pursed, giving her an air of fragile vulnerability.
Although her beauty was stunning, many people suddenly realized that this beautiful young lady was out of place in this naval port and the upcoming military parade.
After all, it's hard to associate such a delicate woman with a tough, ruthless army.
At this moment, Qin Ze slowly stood up, walked past the musicians, and walked alone to the railing at the very front of the reviewing stand. He stood with his hands behind his back, gazing at the boundless sea.
"Let's begin."
