The black dog, looking displeased, carried the monkey and the green ivy to the orchard.
This is the only fruit orchard in the Yunmeng Sect, filled with wild fruits of all shapes and sizes.
There is a tree in particular whose wild fruits are shaped like mythical creatures from the mountains and seas, such as the Luan bird, Pixiu, Qilin, Taotie, Taowu, Phoenix, and Dragon. From a distance, they look like mythical beasts hanging on the tree.
The monkey was startled at first sight, but was greatly surprised when it realized it was just wild fruit.
The ivy jumped off the monkey's neck and flew up to a tree.
The monkey jumped up and followed her to the same tree, where they began picking wild fruit.
Only the black dog stood under the tree, showing no interest whatsoever; he was tired of eating the fruit and wandered around under the tree.
The monkey moved very quickly, hopping around.
He quickly put the fruit he picked into his pocket, took a few bites, and was about to throw it away when he heard Green Ivy's words:
"Monkey, you can't litter! These are all very spiritual fruits. You have to eat them all. Don't waste them. Look, eat them like this..."
Green Ivy demonstrated by rubbing the fruit in her hand to clean it, taking a bite, her mouth puffed out, and quickly spitting out a pit.
The monkey was about to throw away the fruit it had only taken a few bites of, but seeing Green Ivy doing so, it copied her and started eating, laughing as it ate.
After finishing eating, he continued to hop and jump around in the orchard like a monkey. Suddenly, a brilliant idea struck him, and he ran to the trees, intending to uproot a few trees and take them with him.
Green Ivy looked at him: "Monkey, what are you going to do?"
The monkey said, "I want to pull up a few trees and take them back to Flower Fruit Mountain to plant."
"You're just going to pull it out like that?"
"Otherwise what?"
“These are our family’s things. You have to ask the owner’s permission before you can take them. If they don’t agree, then taking them is stealing. Taking them without asking is also stealing, understand?”
"Then should I go ask the immortals?"
Green Ivy said, "Don't go. That stingy Li Ming will definitely not agree."
The monkey looked at the green ivy and said, "I think the fruit from these trees is even better than that from Flower Fruit Mountain. I want to plant some."
Green Ivy frowned, the tuft of hair on her head twitched, and suddenly, as if remembering something, she grinned and said:
"Monkey, if you want to plant trees, you don't necessarily have to uproot them. Don't all these fruits have pits? Just pick two fruits from each tree, eat them, and plant the pits. That way, trees will grow."
The Monkey King gave a thumbs up, agreeing with her point.
So next, Green Ivy helped the monkey pick wild fruits, picking one or two fruits from each tree.
Soon they had picked a small pile of wild fruit. Green Ivy took out her bundle and packed it up so the monkey could take it with him when he left.
As for whether the entire orchard can be planted, I don't know, but with so many seeds, there should still be enough to grow a few trees.
After finishing this task, Green Ivy jumped onto the monkey's neck, pointed into the distance, and said, "Take me over there. There are milk trees there. I need to collect some milk."
The monkey hopped and skipped along with her, and the black dog followed, wanting to see what Green Ivy was up to.
"This is the milk tree?"
The monkey had just picked a few fruits, but it turned out they were from a milk tree.
Green Ivy jumped down, took out a small container, went to the base of the tree, and soon saw that the bark had cracked.
With a gentle snap, white milk flowed out.
Green Ivy used her spiritual power to guide the cow into the container and put it in.
However, the cracked bark was too small, and there wasn't much milk, only a dozen or so drops.
Seeing the green ivy frown, the black dog stood up, scratched at the bark with its paw, and widened the crack, causing the white milk to flow out again, but it quickly dried up again.
Green Ivy and the monkey looked at the black dog, wondering what it could do.
Seeing the man and monkey looking at him so solemnly, the black dog felt a little pressured. After thinking for a while, a flash of inspiration struck him, and he cast a spell to heal the cracks in the tree bark.
Then the bark was torn open again, and the white sap flowed out once more.
This process is repeated several times: first, the bark is torn apart and healed, then it is torn apart again and healed.
Soon, the container in Green Ivy's hands was filled with milk.
The monkey and the green ivy stared at the black dog in utter bewilderment, wondering if such a thing was even possible.
This dog is a real dog.
"Monkey, don't imitate what the black dog is doing. If you keep doing this, the tree will die," Green Ivy said.
"Mm." The monkey nodded.
He also thought the dog was crazy; wouldn't this constant shearing kill the tree?
Upon hearing Green Ivy's idea, the monkey thought Green Ivy was smarter and the dog was stupid.
The black dog was annoyed. Seeing their strange looks, he said, "You two, are you crazy? Don't look at me like that. If you keep looking at me, I'll beat you up."
"Tch." Green Ivy rolled her eyes and said, "Let's all go back."
Holding the milk in her hands, Green Ivy took her short steps and walked happily toward the Cloud Dream Sect.
The monkey and the black dog were afraid she would fall, so they followed closely behind her.
Once she successfully reached the wooden bridge, the dog and the monkey breathed a sigh of relief.
"Li Ming, Li Ming, I've brought the milk back."
Green Ivy strode onto the wooden bridge, her twin ponytails flying backward, revealing two dimples on her face as she smiled happily.
Li Ming looked at her tiny green ivy and said, "Slow down, don't fall."
I'm so afraid she'll fall.
Green Ivy chuckled, holding the milk in front of Li Ming, looking quite pleased with herself, her eyes crinkling with laughter.
Then he ran to the kitchen, took out bowls and chopsticks, divided the milk among Li Ming, the black dog, and the monkey, and laughed very happily.
