Chapter 131 Fighting all the way to the Buddha

Is there really such a good thing?

The Queen asked the Grand Tutor to act as matchmaker and go to the post station to ask Tang Sanzang for a marriage proposal.

Tang Sanzang remained silent. Seeing that Tang Sanzang had lowered his head and was not speaking, the Grand Tutor assumed that he had already agreed and took his leave to return to the palace to report to the Queen.

Before long, the Queen arrived in a dragon carriage to personally fetch the bride, perform the wedding ceremony, and drink the wedding wine.

A day and a night later.

The Queen saw them off.

Tang Sanzang rode away on an ox.

Halfway there, he was taken away by the female demon from the Pipa Cave, who said, "You and I will be husband and wife here, which is more free and comfortable than in the Women's Kingdom."

The female demon then made many undignified gestures in an attempt to seduce Tang Sanzang.

Too ugly, I'll punch him to death.

The demoness revealed herself to be a scorpion demon. All the maids and girls in the cave knelt on the ground begging for mercy. Upon asking, they learned that they were ordinary people from the Women's Kingdom who had been captured by the demoness to be enslaved.

Release them and continue westward.

Kill the fake Wukong.

Passing through the Banana Cave on Cuiyun Mountain, I happily acquired a banana leaf fan.

At the fake Leiyin Temple, defeat the Yellow-Eyebrowed Monster to obtain the Golden Bell, the Wolf Fang Mace, and the Human Seed Bag.

Seven Absolutes Mountain, except for the giant red python.

Upon arriving at Qilin Mountain, I saw Guanyin Bodhisattva fleeing overnight with the Golden-haired Roar.

move on.

The Spider Cave uses a stick to beat the spider demon.

Lion Camel Ridge fought three monsters, who were said to be relatives from the Western Paradise, so a braised lion's head dish was inevitable.

In the Kingdom of Bhikkhu, a demon was subdued and a group of children were saved, and a goose cage was obtained.

Sun Wukong entered the Bottomless Cave three times.

Continuing onward, they happened upon a prayer for rain to save the people in Fengxian County.

On this day, Tang Sanzang and his companions rode oxen to a city. They found the city to be desolate. At the street entrance, many soldiers were lined up on both sides, and several people who looked like officials stood under the eaves. When they saw them coming, they did not make way for them.

After inquiring with an official, they learned that this was Fengxian County in the Kingdom of Tianzhu. Due to years of drought, they had been ordered by the county magistrate to post a notice here, seeking a Taoist priest to pray for rain to save the country.

Tang Sanzang glanced at the notice and then at Xiaolongnu, saying, "Can you bring rain? Could you send them some rain?"

If a dragon girl can't bring rain, then what kind of dragon girl is she?

Actually, rainmaking is just a minor spell; she, Sun Wukong, and Zhu Bajie all know it.

However, since Tang Sanzang had asked her to do it, she did not hesitate and cast a spell in mid-air to make it rain.

It rained heavily all day, and the water was more than three feet deep.

leave.

Heading towards Jinping Prefecture, there is a cave called Xuanying Cave on the mountain, where three demons live. The eldest demon is called King Bihan, the second demon is called King Bishu, and the third demon is called King Bibichen. In fact, they are all rhinoceros demons.

Beat up three rhinoceroses and you'll get three rhinoceros horns.

Before dawn the next day, Tang Sanzang and his disciples packed their belongings, opened the mountain gate, and set off.

One evening, as the master and his disciples were preparing to find lodging, they saw a large temple in front of them, with several large golden characters written on the mountain gate: "Bujin Zen Temple".

The area below the mountain gate was crowded with people carrying loads on shoulder poles, pushing carts, carrying backpacks, and all sorts of pedestrians.

As soon as they saw Tang Sanzang and his disciples approaching, they immediately made way for them, all the way to the Vajra Hall.

An old monk came out to greet him. Tang Sanzang quickly bowed and introduced himself. After listening, the old monk said, "Please come inside for tea and a meal, esteemed monk."

Tang Sanzang asked the old monk, "Why are there so many merchants in front of the mountain gate?"

The old monk replied, “At the foot of Hundred-Foot Mountain ahead, there is a Rooster Crowing Pass. In recent years, centipedes have frequently appeared, blocking the road and biting travelers. Only when the rooster crows at dawn do the centipedes disappear, and then travelers dare to cross the pass.”

...

Continue westward.

Master Kou was delighted to welcome the Holy Tang Monk.

After bidding farewell to Master Kou, Tang Sanzang and his disciples continued their journey on an ox.

In less than half an hour, suddenly they saw tall buildings rising in front of them, their pavilions reaching into the sky. Wukong said:

"Master, we've arrived at the foot of Mount Ling, the place where we're going to fetch the scriptures."

"After eighty-one tribulations, we have finally arrived at the place to go on our journey to the West to obtain the scriptures." Tang Sanzang stood on the green ox, a gentle breeze caressing his cheeks, his brows furrowed with a sharp edge.

Little Dragon Girl reminded, "It doesn't seem like we've reached the full eighty-one tribulations yet."

Tang Sanzang said, "None of that matters anymore. We will soon set foot in the Western Paradise, and the secrets I want to know will soon come to light."

Before the pavilion, a young Taoist boy stood at the mountain gate and asked, "Is the visitor the one who went to the East to retrieve the scriptures?"

Wukong recognized him as the Golden Peak Immortal of Yuzhen Temple at the foot of Mount Ling, and hurriedly told his master. Tang Sanzang stepped forward and bowed.

The immortal led Tang Sanzang and his disciples into the temple, and then ordered a young boy to burn incense and water for Tang Sanzang to bathe in, saying that this was the only way to ascend to the Buddha's land.

The next day, Tang Sanzang changed into a brocade cassock, bid farewell to the immortal, and the immortal led Tang Sanzang to the Dharma Gate.

Tang Sanzang and his disciples walked forward for five or six miles and saw a large river with rolling waves, about eight or nine miles wide. In the distance, there was a bridge, but it turned out to be a single log bridge. On the plaque next to the bridge were the three characters "Lingyun Ferry".

They rode oxen across the river, startling both the immortal and the Buddha of Guidance.

After crossing Lingyun Ferry, we ascended the stone path leading to Lingshan Mountain and leisurely arrived at the gate of Leiyin Temple.

...

East, Heaven.

The Jade Emperor sat on his throne, surrounded by numerous immortals lined up in rows. Soon, someone came to report.

"Tang Sanzang and his companions fought their way through the mountains, taking less than two months, and have now reached the gates of Leiyin Temple on Mount Ling."

"What do you, fellow immortals, think?"

"Tang Sanzang, Sun Wukong, the Dragon Girl, Zhu Bajie, and Sha Wujing all have problems. There must be someone behind them pulling the strings."

"I have tried to calculate it before, but I can't figure it out."

"How could it not be calculated?"

"He may not be in this world anymore."

"How could it not be in this land? What does this mean?"

"Can he escape this world?"
