Chapter 14 Bring My Sword

In the spacious room was a bathtub, with veiled maids on both sides carrying flower baskets and throwing pink petals into the tub, where a stunningly beautiful woman sat.

Her waterfall-like black hair cascaded down to her hips, obscuring her snow-white body.

Her figure is perfectly proportioned, with long, straight legs.

What's even more alluring is that she's completely naked, with water droplets sliding down her black hair, shoulders, back, and curves.

Looking at that snow-white skin, Li Ming couldn't help but lick his lips. Even though he was usually abstinent, seeing this back view made his blood feel a little hot.

Unfortunately, all we could see was her back.

Li Ming carefully held the Wuliang Bowl, staring intently at the image reflected in it, afraid of missing anything. In fact, he was waiting for her to turn around.

If her back view is so stunning, her front view must be even more breathtaking.

He was waiting.

She carefully wiped her arms and body, her movements very gentle.

The maids on both sides continued to throw flower petals into the pool, and Li Ming could almost feel the fragrance permeating the air, let alone the person in question.

The woman's fingers were also long, slender, snow-white, and flawless.

As she washed, her body slowly sank into the water, which submerged her slender waist, and her black hair, which fell over her shoulders, spread out.

Li Ming noticed a red pattern on the woman's shoulder.

Perhaps due to contact with water, the red pattern became clearer and gradually began to emerge, as if blood was spreading across the shoulder.

Once the outline was finished, a blood-red spider lily appeared before my eyes.

Li Ming stared at the flower for a moment, but his gaze quickly shifted as the woman stretched her legs out of the water, her smooth, white legs swaying gently.

That's amazing.

Unfortunately, she pulled her leg back.

After about the time it takes for an incense stick to burn, she stood up, water droplets flowing down her body, and walked step by step out of the bath.

Li Ming could still only see her snow-white back, not her front. He wanted to know how pretty this woman really was, and just how beautiful she was. He would stop looking after he finished looking.

He was waiting for her to turn around.

Unfortunately, she didn't.

Water droplets trickled down her body to her toes, wetting the floor of the room as she slowly stretched out her hand.

The maids on both sides began a series of actions.

Two maids stepped forward to wipe the water droplets off her body. The two maids formed hand seals, as if using a magical technique to control the wind speed, and carefully dried her black hair.

Each of the other maids carried something different in their hands. After wiping away the water droplets and drying her hair, a long, red veil was draped over her body.

Immediately, all the maids began to comb her hair and put on sterling silver earrings and hair ornaments.

A maid handed over a red piece of paper.

She slightly opened her mouth and bit the paper.

Li Ming still couldn't see her face because of the angle, but he could see her cherry-like lips.

Her lips were very thin and beautiful. She slowly bit the red paper, closed her small mouth, and pursed her lips.

The maid then pulled the paper away.

Her lips were stained red with rouge, making them look especially beautiful, with clearly defined lip lines.

Just looking at that little mouth makes me want to give it a kiss.

This woman is absolutely a femme fatale.

This series of actions—burning incense, bathing, and wearing a red veil—demonstrates that the woman's identity is definitely not simple.

"The auspicious time is almost here. What are you all dawdling for? Hurry up and invite Wu Xiao to ascend the throne." A gloomy voice came from outside the palace, and then the palace door was violently pushed open.

"Greetings, Imperial Preceptor."

The maids bowed in greeting. This was the Grand Preceptor of the Great Wu Dynasty, a man of high rank and immense power.

During his tenure as Grand Preceptor, taking advantage of the emperor's senility, he secretly manipulated events to dilute most of the royal power of the Great Wu Dynasty, allowing his eight sons to rise rapidly and making the Grand Preceptor's lineage the absolute leader.

He dares to claim second place, but no one dares to claim first.

This is the current situation of the Wu Dynasty.

Wu Xiao was the only bloodline descendant of the old emperor who had been left behind.

Apart from her, all of the old emperor's children were killed by the Grand Preceptor and his eight sons, and the only reason she was alive was to become the Grand Preceptor's puppet.

A few days ago, when the Imperial Advisor found her, Wu Xiao herself was stunned, because she then learned that she was the daughter of the old emperor of the Wu Dynasty.

After entering the palace, she never expected that the Imperial Advisor would want her to become the Empress.

How could a wild girl who knows nothing but swordsmanship become an empress and rule the Wu Dynasty?

A moment later, he learned that she was just a puppet, a marionette for the Grand Preceptor, because the Grand Preceptor's rule over the Wu Dynasty was illegitimate and Wu Xiao was needed to act as a transitional figure.

The Imperial Advisor urged, "Wu Xiao, hurry up! The Wu Dynasty cannot be without a ruler for even a day. The civil and military officials are all getting impatient."

Wu Xiao wanted to say, "What's it to me? I don't like life in the palace because it's so boring."

The Imperial Advisor took out a piece of paper from his pocket and said, "These are the lines you will read when you ascend the throne later. Memorize them first."

Wu Xiao waved his hand without even turning his head, and said while sitting down, "Just leave it there. You can leave now. I'll look at it later."

The Imperial Advisor frowned, his gaze fixed on the woman's back, a chill gathering within him.

I always felt that this empress was not very obedient, but now that I was about to ascend the throne, I didn't say anything more. Instead, I put the paper on the coffee table and left.

Then came an old, gloomy voice: "I hope you don't do anything foolish. Memorize your lines. If anything goes wrong, you will be utterly ruined."

The maid trembled with fear, cold sweat pouring down her face, because the Imperial Preceptor's aura was very strong, and his gaze seemed to be ready to devour her.
