Li Ming's divine sense spread out, enveloping everything, and he began to investigate this world.
After a moment, Li Ming felt something was very strange. He couldn't figure out whether it was a folded space or something else. Everything in front of him seemed a bit bizarre and very strange. It just felt weird. It wasn't a folded space, nor was it anything else. Everything seemed particularly eerie.
"Could it become its own territory?" Black Dog asked, and seeing the change in Li Ming's expression, he knew that things were not so simple.
"I'm not sure what it is either, but things have gone completely unexpectedly. This palace seems to be from a different dimension than us." Li Ming was unsure.
"What should we do now?" Green Ivy asked. This palace looked dignified, solemn, and sacred, with a peaceful atmosphere. If we could go inside, we would surely discover many unexpected secrets, and perhaps even find unexpected divine artifacts or totems. It would be wonderful if we could find something of that level.
Li Ming shook his head: "I don't know what to do either. Let's wait and see. I'll take a closer look and see where things are going wrong."
His divine sense spread out completely, his power extended and expanded, and waves of power surged forth, attempting to glimpse the secrets of this world, but ultimately he could not glean any information.
“There really is a problem.” Li Ming stared at the scene before him, his feelings quite complicated.
Half an hour later, Li Ming still had no way to figure out what it was. Just as he was about to give up, he suddenly felt a strange power node.
Divine power pierced through, shattering space like a mirror, and the fragments gradually transformed into a path paved with gold.
White chrysanthemums appeared on both sides of the path, like a ritual to welcome the dead; everything that appeared in my eyes seemed like an illusion.
The black dog stared at the road: "This road leads directly to the Golden Palace, but something feels off. The flowers blooming on both sides of the road are really unexpected."
“Ominous and eerie things are invading, but it’s not a big problem. Let’s follow this path into the palace and see what happens.” Li Ming stepped onto the golden path. No matter what, he had to take this path first. As long as it led to the palace, everything would be fine.
Green Ivy and the black dog followed closely behind Li Ming. Although the road was paved with golden light, for some reason, they felt that a strange dark force was corroding the unknown.
The white chrysanthemums on both sides of the road seemed to be laughing, though it was unclear what they were laughing at. They seemed like people, their laughter exuding power, a laughter that was somewhat eerie.
Flowers, smiling faces, and strangely eerie portraits—something just doesn't feel right here, though I don't know why.
It wasn't just Green Ivy and Black Dog who felt this way; Li Ming felt it even more strongly. He always felt that the chrysanthemums by the roadside were like peeled-off faces, swaying constantly in the wind, which was particularly eerie.
He withdrew his gaze, no longer paying attention to the flowers and plants around him, and walked forward with unwavering eyes. On the golden path, he always felt like someone was staring at the back of his head.
When his true identity is revealed, everything will vanish without a trace, as if it never existed, as if it were all an illusion.
"Strange, who is spying on me like this?" Li Ming thought to himself, but no matter how hard he investigated, he couldn't find any clues.
He stopped worrying about it and continued on his way.
Finally, we arrived at the end of the golden road. Stepping in, we were finally in the vicinity of the palace. The palace was magnificent and glittering, seemingly nonexistent in the world, yet it was real before our eyes. It looked unreal, strange, and absurd.
From the outside, the palace doesn't look very big.
Once you're inside, you'll find it truly bizarre; everything before you is unpredictable, and the ground is soft and yielding, giving you the feeling of walking on it.
"Why is the ground so soft?" Green Ivy hopped and skipped around on the ground, starting to play. This was the first time in her life she had ever encountered such a soft ground, as supple as a bed. If the environment allowed, she would have liked to sleep here.
“This is the first time I’ve ever seen this kind of ground,” the black dog said. He had traveled the world for tens of millions of years, but he had never heard of such soft ground. Shouldn’t the ground always be hard? How could it be soft? Suddenly, the black dog frowned and kept backing away. “Could we be inside the belly of some ferocious beast?”
He had a wild imagination; he had once gone inside the bellies of some large creatures, and the inside of their bellies was exactly the same as this one—soft and squishy.
I don't know if this is it.
“It shouldn’t be like this. How could it be? If we were inside the beast’s belly, I might have been able to sense that there’s something wrong with the soil here. This is the kind of soil it should be.” We stared at the ground. “How can such soft soil support such a massive palace?”
The more Li Ming thought about it, the stranger it seemed, even outrageous.
"Never mind, why think so much? These are things we can't even imagine. What we need to do now is go inside and see what's inside the palace."
They didn't linger outside and walked straight out of the palace.
Upon arriving at the palace, Li Ming reached out and pushed the door a few times. The door creaked as it was opened, and a blast of cold wind rushed in, the biting cold penetrating to the bone.
"It's so cold." The black dog's face turned cold from the wind, and its fur was blowing all over its body. "Is this the Cold Palace? Why is it so cold? What are they doing in there?"
