Lin Yan was preparing for a dinner with the Gu family before the New Year. The time was set for a weekend when Lu Jinghuai did not have to work overtime. The restaurant was still set near the hospital because it was indeed inconvenient for Liu Xiuying.
Last time, because of a meal, Gu Zhiyi discovered many loopholes in her, and this time Lin Yan became alert.
She was the one who booked the restaurant and ordered the dishes in advance. Even before ordering, Lin Yan searched her memory and found nothing that the original owner was allergic to, so she finally decided on the dishes.
At 11 o'clock in the morning, they arrived at the hotel. The Gu family had not arrived yet. Lin Yan looked at the time and felt that it was almost time, so she simply waited in the lobby downstairs to prevent Mr. Gu and his wife from having trouble finding a private room.
But not long after, a taxi stopped. Lin Yan looked up and saw the door opened. It was Teacher Gu and his wife who got out.
Lin Yan subconsciously stepped forward to support Liu Xiuying, and saw Teacher Gu and Gu Zhiyi behind Liu Xiuying.
Lin Yan paused for a moment, and her expression quickly returned to normal. She was not too surprised. It was normal for Gu Zhiyi to come today, the weekend.
In fact, when Lin Yan agreed to have dinner, she felt that she might meet Gu Zhiyi, but it was difficult for her to refuse the invitation from her mentor.

The Gu couple naturally agreed, and the group went up the stairs to the private room on the second floor.
While going upstairs, Lin Yan supported Lin Xiuying, but she always felt that Gu Zhiyi was looking at her from behind, which made her feel inexplicably uncomfortable. Fortunately, Lu Jinghuai was by her side, which made her feel a little safer.
Lu Jinghuai seemed to have noticed something and turned to look at Gu Zhiyi behind him.

Finally they entered the private room and both parties sat down. Lin Yan breathed a sigh of relief and told the waiter to prepare the dishes.
When the meal was almost over, Teacher Gu suddenly stopped using his chopsticks and looked at Lin Yan very carefully and spoke.
"Ayan, actually, this meal is not only because your master's wife and I wanted to see you before we go back, but also because we wanted to express our apologies."
Lin Yan paused for a moment and didn't react, then she heard Teacher Gu continue.
"Your master's wife and I know everything that Zhiyi has been up to lately. We don't know why he has such a ridiculous idea."
Teacher Gu frowned as he spoke, as if he really didn't understand his son, and then he continued.
"But no matter what, this is a problem between your teacher's wife and me. There was a problem with our education. Your teacher's wife and I apologize to you."
Teacher Gu's tone was full of guilt, which made Lin Yan feel a little uneasy and guilty.
She subconsciously looked at Lu Jinghuai beside her, and then immediately realized what was the point of looking at Lu Jinghuai in this situation.
The teacher's eyes were still on her.
Lin Yan quickly retracted her gaze and cleared her throat twice. "Teacher, Master's Wife, what does this have to do with you? Besides, didn't we say it was all a misunderstanding? Since it's a misunderstanding, it's fine as long as it's resolved."
Teacher Gu breathed a sigh of relief and continued, "Whether it was a misunderstanding or not, Zhiyi must first apologize to you."
Gu Zhiyi on the other side didn't say anything. Teacher Gu became even more dissatisfied when he saw his expression and glared at him.
Lin Yan probably understood that the so-called apology was probably just Teacher Gu's wishful thinking. Gu Zhiyi did not dispel his "misunderstanding" of her.
But it's normal. She was not the original owner, so it was not a misunderstanding. Gu Zhiyi had already confirmed that her identity was wrong, so why would she admit her mistake and apologize?
"Sorry." Under the urging of Teacher Gu, Gu Zhiyi also hurriedly apologized.
Teacher Gu was obviously relieved. Looking at the white hair on Teacher Gu's temples, Lin Yan softened her heart a little. Liu Xiuying was already in that situation, and she didn't want Teacher Gu to continue worrying about other things.

When she came back, she saw Gu Zhiyi in the corridor, and Lin Yan paused.
She could tell that Gu Zhiyi was probably waiting for her here. What was he waiting for her for? To make her admit that she wasn't the original owner?
