In the room, Lin Yan, who was teasing Yaya, also heard the noise at the door and turned to look over.
There was a little more smile on her face. She picked up Yaya and let her look at Lu Jinghuai, her voice gentle.
"Yaya, daddy is back."
The two-month-old child had no ability to recognize people, but when Lin Yan held her over, she giggled in Lu Jinghuai's direction.
Lu Jinghuai's expression softened. He took a few steps forward but stopped about half a meter away from the two of them.
He had just come from a dinner party. Although he didn't smoke or drink, his body was still stained with the smell of cigarettes and alcohol. Lin Yan didn't like these smells, and Yaya was still young and couldn't stand them even more.
Lin Yan seemed to understand Lu Jinghuai's idea. She did not hand Yaya over to Lu Jinghuai, but put Yaya back in the crib before asking Lu Jinghuai?
"You're back so early? I thought you guys would chat quite early at the dinner party."
"There's not much to talk about." Lu Jinghuai said casually.
He doesn't like those social gatherings at the wine table. He prefers to go home early to be with his wife and children rather than those boring salaries.
Lin Yan understood what he meant and laughed. Lu Jinghuai has always been a responsible man, a good husband and a good father.
"Have you been drinking? Do you want the kitchen to make some hangover soup?" Lin Yan asked again.
Lu Jinghuai still shook his head: "I didn't drink, the smell on my body was from someone else."
Lu Jinghuai was not used to being so far away from his wife and daughter. He wanted to go forward and hug Lin Yan and Yaya, so he spoke.
"I'm going to go change my clothes and then come back to pick her up."
Lu Jinghuai should have washed up before coming over, but he couldn't help it just now and just wanted to see Lin Yan and Yaya first.
Lu Jinghuai took a shower and changed clothes very quickly, which only took a quarter of an hour in total. When he came back, he took Yaya away from Lin Yan's arms.
The father and daughter played for a while, and Lin Yan took out a storybook and told Yaya a story. I don’t know if the little one understood it or not, but she just kept laughing.
Lin Yan didn't expect Yaya to understand at her age. She told stories only for the purpose of parent-child interaction between mother and daughter.
Around ten o'clock, Lu Jinghuai glanced at the time and asked, "It's getting late. Should we coax Yaya to bed?"
Lin Yan also looked at the time, but felt helpless. She put down the storybook in her hand before speaking.
"She just woke up and will probably play until very late. When we return to the room, I'll let Auntie coax her."
The couple played with Yaya for about another hour. The little girl was still in high spirits, but Lin Yan was a little tired. She had to go to work tomorrow and it was impossible for her to stay here with Yaya.

Lu Jinghuai sat on the bed, leaning against the headboard, reading messages while waiting for Lin Yan. When Lin Yan came out of the bathroom, he naturally put down his phone and looked over.
Lin Yan also turned off the lights in the room, and for a moment only the dim chandelier beside the bed was left.
"Have you finished your work?" Lin Yan glanced at the phone that Lu Jinghuai had just put down.
"It's not important, I just took a look at a document." Lu Jinghuai said casually.
Lin Yan also went to bed. As it was getting late, she didn't check her phone and planned to go to sleep directly. However, Lu Jing beside her stopped her directly.
Lin Yan was stunned for a moment, then looked over and asked, "It's so late, why aren't you sleeping yet?"
Lu Jinghuai put his head on her shoulder and said aggrievedly, "It's been two months."
Lin Yan was stunned for a moment and blinked before she realized what he meant.

Lu Jinghuai hasn't touched her since she gave birth. Today is exactly two months. In fact, some people can be safe after just over a month after the baby is born.

"One last time."
Lin Yan heard these four words three or four times before finally stopping.
In a daze, Lin Yan felt Lu Jinghuai carrying her to the bathroom to clean up, and then he seemed to change the sheets and bedding before carrying her back to bed.
Lin Yan was so sleepy that she couldn't open her eyes. Lu Jinghuai gently kissed Lin Yan on the forehead.
"Go to sleep."
Later, Lin Yan had no idea what happened next.
She slept until dawn and was woken up by the alarm clock. She opened her eyes in a daze and felt sore all over. The man beside her was gone.
Lin Yan reached out and touched the phone with the alarm ringing beside the bed. She saw that it was already eight o'clock. The company required her to clock in at nine o'clock, and she still had to wash up. Her home was some distance away from the company, so time was very tight.
Lin Yan also woke up instantly. She usually set her alarm clock to 7:30. She didn't rush and got up, washed up, and when she went downstairs, breakfast was ready in the kitchen. She could go to work after eating.
But today she didn't know whether it was because she was too tired last night and the alarm clock didn't wake her up at 7:30, or what else was going on.
Lin Yan took a look and found that the alarm clock at 7:30 had been turned off early in the morning. She knew without hesitation that it was Lu Jinghuai who turned it off.
Lin Yan was no longer in a hurry. If she was going to be late, her boss Lu Jinghuai would be late with her.
Lin Yan yawned, got out of bed and went to the bathroom while thinking, but found that the toothpaste in the bathroom had been squeezed out.
Lu Jinghuai was not so considerate in the past. For a moment, Lin Yan felt that Lu Jinghuai was making up for the trouble he had made all night yesterday.
Lin Yan simply washed up and hurried downstairs. Lu Jinghuai was sitting on the sofa and making a phone call.
As if he heard some noise coming up and down the stairs, he looked up, said a few words briefly on the phone and hung up.
Lin Yan glanced at Lu Jinghuai, and when Lu Jinghuai met Lin Yan's gaze, there was a hint of guilt in his eyes.
Today is not the weekend, even though they had agreed not to do too much on weekday evenings.
