Chapter 108 Investigation Order
The next morning
Lin Yifei picked Qiao Shuhui up from the resettlement site.
He walked quickly ahead, completely ignoring Qiao Shuhui who was following behind him.
Yesterday, after finishing training, Lin Yifei was stopped by Brigade Commander Zhang's bodyguard on his way back and went to Brigade Commander Zhang's military affairs office.

Lin Yifei then broke free from Qiao Shuhui's embrace, and the two walked side by side in silence.
Lin Yifei pushed open the door, settled Qiao Shuhui on the wooden sofa, and said, "Let me pour you a glass of water first."

Qiao Shuhui stared wide-eyed at Lin Yifei, tears streaming down her face.

Seeing Qiao Shuhui shed tears, Lin Yifei irritably ruffled his hair and plopped down on the wooden sofa.
Lin Yifei looked at the crying Qiao Shuhui and said coldly, "Why do you always cry? What else can you do besides cry?"
Qiao Shuhui suddenly looked up at Lin Yifei in disbelief and shouted, "How could you do this to me?"
"I was terrified all night, and I was so looking forward to your arrival, but instead of comforting me, you questioned me!"
Lin Yifei closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and said emotionlessly, "Think what you want."
After saying that, he stood up, slammed the door, and left.
When Qiao Shuhui saw that Lin Yifei didn't care about her feelings, she immediately lay down on the wooden sofa and burst into tears.
After crying for a while, Qiao Shuhui raised her head and murmured, "It's all Gu Yihan's fault. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been locked up, and she wouldn't have argued with Lin Yifei."
"Yes, it's because of Gu Yihan that Lin Yifei has lost patience with himself."

After having breakfast in the cafeteria, Gu Yihan and Lu Huailin strolled slowly along the paths in the residential compound.
After finishing breakfast, Xiao Wu saw Lu Huailin and his wife taking a walk from afar and called out loudly, "Commander Lu, sister-in-law."
Gu Yihan and Lu Huailin heard Xiao Wu's voice and turned around to see him striding towards them.
Xiao Wu looked at Lu Huailin and the other man with a smile and asked, "Commander, you've recovered really quickly. It's only been a few days since I last saw you, and you can already go for a walk?"
"Commander, you don't know, without you here, those troublemakers in the regiment have gone completely out of control."
Lu Huailin, expressionless, glanced coldly at Xiao Wu and said in a cold voice, "You disturbed my walk with your sister-in-law."

Gu Yihan listened to the two's nonsensical back-and-forth conversation.

Gu Yihan looked at Xiao Wu with suspicion and asked, "A mission?"
Xiao Wu thought Gu Yihan didn't want Mao Mao to go on the mission, so he explained, "Mao Mao insisted on coming along, and we couldn't get him to leave."
"Sister-in-law, don't worry, this mission is very simple and there will be no danger."
Gu Yihan didn't ask too many questions. Since Mao Mao liked it, let it go. She couldn't keep it locked up at home all the time.
Seeing that the two had finished talking, Lu Huailin directly grasped Gu Yihan's hand and walked straight past Xiao Wu.

The two slowly returned to the courtyard and saw Leng Xiao sitting in the yard, his legs crossed and shaking.

Looking at Leng Xiao's alluring face, Lu Huailin asked, "You're here so early, is there something you need?"
Leng Xiao glanced at Gu Yihan, pursed his lips and said, "I'm fine. Brigade Commander Zhang asked me to come and tell you."
"The little hamster went with them. You can go out of the family compound normally from now on."
Gu Yihan's eyes lit up, and she asked eagerly, "Then I can go work in the textile factory."
Leng Xiao leaned back in his chair and looked at Gu Yihan as he slowly said, "Of course you can go to work."
Gu Yihan happily pulled Lu Huailin back to the bedroom, chattering on and on.
Lu Huailin listened patiently to Gu Yihan's joy with a smile in his eyes.

Qi Yanran paced nervously around the dormitory, just about to sit down on the bed to rest.

Qi Yanran heard the door open and immediately looked up, only to see two soldiers walking directly in her direction.
Two soldiers took out an investigation warrant from their pockets and handed it to Qi Yanran, saying, "Comrade Qi, come with us."
