Chapter 213 Su Nian
Textile factory gate
Lu Huailin waited for his wife to get off work, pushing his bicycle.
Many female workers deliberately walked past him, their eyes filled with scrutiny as they passed.
He frowned, a hint of impatience flashing in his eyes. Were these female workers sick?
What if his wife comes out and misunderstands?

After picking up his wife, Lu Huailin got on his bicycle and headed back.
Gu Yihan closed her eyes, feeling the wind caress her cheeks.
Lu Huailin sensed that his wife was in a bad mood today.

Gu Yihan smiled slightly at Su Nian. She hadn't expected to see her again and asked with a smile, "Who is your lover?"
Su Nian smiled and said, "My husband is Zhou Jun."
She didn't mention Zhou Jun's position, but pointed to Gu Yihan's courtyard gate and tentatively asked, "Is this your home?"
Gu Yihan nodded.
Su Nian jumped up in surprise, exclaiming, "We're actually neighbors!"
"Gu Yi, please wait a moment."
After saying that, she turned and ran home.
Gu Yihan turned to meet Lu Huailin's questioning gaze and explained with a smile, "We were classmates in vocational school."
Lu Huailin nodded slightly and asked, "Are you feeling better now?"
Gu Yihan was taken aback when she heard this, and her eyes were a little moist as she looked at Lu Huailin.
Lu Huailin whispered in his wife's ear, "Honey, don't chat for too long, it'll be time to eat soon."
Gu Yihan smiled and nodded, indicating that he should go home first.
At this moment, Su Nian jogged out, stuffed the things in her hands into her arms, and said with a smile, "Comrade Gu, thank you for your advice back then."

Lu Huailin buried his face in Hao Hao's stomach, making him laugh out loud.

Gu Yihan placed the items on the dining table, opened them, and found several bags of chocolate, a can of meat, and malted milk powder.
"Huh? Commander Zhou's family is doing quite well this week!" Lu Huailin said in surprise, standing behind his wife.
He held the child in one arm and picked up the beautifully packaged chocolates with the other.
Seeing Hao Hao looking curiously at the chocolate in Lu Huailin's hand, Gu Yihan reached out her little hand to grab it.
She immediately went over and snatched the chocolate away.
Hao Hao looked at the missing chocolate and burst into tears.
Lu Huailin carried Hao Hao as they walked, bouncing along, but Hao Hao was still crying pitifully, showing no signs of stopping.
He could only walk over to his wife and gently pat her arm.
He gently coaxed, "Look, Daddy is disciplining your mom for you."
Gu Yihan rolled her eyes at Lu Huailin.
Hao Hao looked at Gu Yihan with tears in his eyes, stretched out his little hand, and asked for chocolate.
With her back to the father and son, Gu Yihan tore open the bag and hid the chocolate in the bowl.
He then turned around and stuffed the chocolate wrapper into the little guy's hand.
Hao Hao looked curiously at the brightly colored packaging paper, put it in his mouth and bit it with his baby teeth.
Gu Yihan laughed out loud after seeing the little guy's actions.
She turned around, tidied up the things on the table and put them in the cabinet, and said with a smile, "Haohao probably likes the red and yellow packaging bags for chocolates."
Lu Huaijin couldn't help but laugh out loud and said, "Give Hao Hao some; look how greedy he is."
Gu Yihan shook her head slightly: "It's not good for children under three to eat chocolate."
Lu Huailin: "Not good? Chocolate is a rare treat, and kids love to eat it."

She genuinely didn't think this was anything special, after all, she had seen countless varieties of chocolate in later generations.
Lu Huailin carried Hao Hao to the sofa and sat down.

"A rural soldier?" Grandma Gu carried a porcelain basin into the living room.

Gu Yihan walked up to Grandma Gu and took the porcelain bowl of soup noodles from her hand.

"Commander Zhou's wife." Gu Yihan placed the porcelain basin on the dining table.
After hearing his wife's words, Lu Huailin didn't ask any more questions.
