Gu Yihan parked her bicycle and turned around to see Grandma Gu busily moving between the kitchen and the living room.
Thinking of Qiao Shuhui's words, she chuckled softly.
Gu Yihan quickly walked to Grandma Gu's side and took the plate from her hand.
She said with concern, "Grandma, go back to your room and sit on the sofa to rest for a while. You've been busy all day."
Grandma Gu didn't make a fuss. Knowing that her granddaughter cared about her, she smiled and said, "Okay, Grandma will go back to her room."
Gu Yihan had just stepped into the kitchen when Lu Huailin's shout came through.
"Wife, wife."
Gu Yihan walked out of the kitchen and stared at Lu Huailin as he pushed open the door, saying irritably, "Are you trying to call back a ghost?"
Lu Huailin walked quickly to his wife's side and kissed her cheek.
He explained with a smile, "The truck delivering the washing machines is at the entrance of the family compound. I asked Battalion Commander Shi for help, and I'm going to get the ticket."
Gu Yihan quickly grabbed his arm: "You're asking him for help, why don't you invite him to stay for dinner?"
"I asked, but he's not eating. Battalion Commander Shi's wife is pregnant, and he has to go back to be with her."
After Lu Huailin finished speaking, he turned around and went to the bedroom to get the tickets.

Gu Yihan smiled but did not respond to Grandma Gu's words.
This orchid is no pushover either. I guess she's having a difficult pregnancy and lacks confidence. If she were pregnant, it would be a completely different story.

Many military wives went back to their husbands and asked them to buy washing machines, only to be scolded as spendthrifts who didn't know how to manage a household.
Lu Huailin set up the washing machine, tested the switch, and it started.
After finishing his work, he beckoned Battalion Commander Shi to wash his hands by the basin stand.
Grandma Gu walked around the washing machine, gently stroking it, then looked up at her granddaughter and asked, "Can this thing wash clothes?"
