Chapter 240 Borrowing a Ladder
Gu Yihan yawned as she walked out of the bedroom, glancing at Grandma Gu who was feeding Hao Hao.
He muttered, "Grandma, who's knocking on Commander Zhou's door so early in the morning?"
"Judging from her tone, she's Su Nian's mother-in-law." Grandma Gu wiped Hao Hao's mouth, looked up at her granddaughter, and said with a smile.
Gu Yihan was stunned when she heard this. Su Nian had only been enjoying herself for a few days when trouble came knocking on her door.
Judging from the force with which she was banging on the door, Zhou Jun's mother was no pushover.
"Come on, Hao Hao, open your mouth."
While playing with the tin frog, Hao Hao raised his head and opened his mouth to eat the steamed egg custard from the spoon after hearing Grandma Gu's words.

Gu Yihan smiled slightly at Grandma Gu, knowing that the older generation was frugal and couldn't stand wasting food.
He walked over to her and patiently explained, "Grandma, this is to train Hao Hao to eat independently."

Zhang Xia pushed open the gate of the Lu family's courtyard and peeked out to look at Gu Yihan, who was standing in the courtyard chatting with Grandma Gu.
He whispered, "I'll go find someone to inform Commander Zhou. Sister-in-law, are you going?"
Upon hearing this, Gu Yihan looked up at Zhou Jun's quiet courtyard. No matter how harsh the words Zhou's mother said, Su Nian did not come out to open the door.
He shook his head and said, "You go ahead, we'll keep an eye on things here, so we can stop them if they try to climb over the wall later."

Just as the military wife was about to step forward to argue, she was grabbed by the arm by another military wife behind her.
The military wife who was with her pulled her back two steps and whispered in her ear, "You can't reason with a shrew like that."
The military wives watching the commotion were amazed by Zhou's mother's formidable fighting spirit.
I had originally intended to say a few words of justice for Commander Zhou's wife, but I gave up on that idea.
On the other side, there was Deputy Battalion Commander Wang's mother, who was watching the commotion.
His gaze swept over Commander Zhou's mother's wrinkled face, which was full of meanness, and he compared himself to her.

Upon hearing this, Gu Yihan quickly put down her chopsticks and went into the yard to pick up Hao Hao.
She smiled slightly at Grandma Gu and said, "I'll go take a look too."
Grandma Gu opened the courtyard gate and saw Zhou Yan standing there. She frowned and said coldly, "What do you want?"
Zhou Yan: "Grandma Gu, do you have a ladder at home..."
"No." Gu Yihan interrupted Zhou Yan coldly before she could finish speaking.
"Even if I had it, I wouldn't lend it to you."
After saying that, he pushed Zhou Yan out and slammed the courtyard gate shut.
