Chapter 45 The Shen Family

Gu Yihan was preparing to visit the Shen family and needed to bring things, completely unaware that her background had been exposed.

As Chen's mother wiped her hands, she came out of the kitchen and her eyes lit up when she looked up at Gu Yihan.
"Oh, this must be the Xiao Han that Zi Han was talking about. We're really destined to meet. Look, our names are so similar." With that, she snatched Gu Yi Han from Teacher Shen's hands and pulled her to sit on the sofa.
Gu Yihan smiled a little awkwardly, she was really too enthusiastic. She handed the things she was carrying to Chen's mother with a smile and said, "Auntie, this is my first time visiting, I didn't know what you liked."
Mother Shen didn't stand on ceremony. She took the things and put them on the table, smiling gently as she said, "Why did you bring anything else? From now on, we'll be family. Come visit us often when you have time."
Teacher Shen pulled Zixin to the kitchen to pour water and said, "How is it? Isn't your future wife beautiful? You're so lucky to marry such a wife."
Zixin looked at her sister helplessly and said, "Sis, I have someone I like, you know that."
Teacher Shen looked at Zixin seriously and said, "Putting aside whether I agree or not, even your parents wouldn't agree."
"Don't you know what kind of family the girl you like comes from?"
Zixin said anxiously, "Sister, her family is not bad either. Her father is an eighth-grade worker in the steel factory, and his salary is no less than his."
Teacher Shen was so angry she laughed: "Your salary isn't low, so why don't you let her go to school? You're the one who pays her tuition, that's why she has the opportunity to go to high school."

Zixin watched as his sister opened her mouth but then closed it again. He turned and went to the living room, placed a glass in front of Gu Yihan, poured her some water, and said stiffly, "Comrade Gu, have some water."
Gu Yihan looked up at him. He was about 1.8 meters tall, wearing a white shirt and military pants, with a square face, thick eyebrows, and big eyes.
She smiled at the other person and said, "Thank you."
After pouring the water, Zixin went to the kitchen briskly.
Seeing Gu Yihan looking at her son, Chen's mother was also very happy and said, "My son is serving in the army in another city. He has never been in contact with young girls and doesn't know how to talk."
"This kind of man is straightforward and responsible."
Then, taking Gu Yihan's hand and patting it gently, she said, "Xiaohan, you can come to our house to play during the holidays. Your aunt is bored at home all by herself, and she likes pretty young girls."

Shen's mother immediately stood up and called to Teacher Shen in the kitchen, "Zihan, quickly bring the food to the table, your father is back."

When Gu Yihan saw that the person who walked in was Deputy Factory Director Shen, who was wearing a Zhongshan suit, she immediately stood up and said, "Factory Director Shen."
Deputy Factory Director Shen looked at Gu Yihan and said, "Xiaohan, sit down. Make yourself at home. Don't be so reserved."
Teacher Shen placed the dishes on the table and said to Gu Yihan with a smile, "Don't be fooled by my dad's expression. He's very easygoing at home."
Seeing that Gu Yihan was still standing, Deputy Factory Director Shen smiled and said, "Xiaohan, sit down and have a meal with us. You are Zihan's classmate, so just call me Uncle."
Gu Yihan could only sit down and greet him with a smile, "Uncle."
After all the dishes were served, Gu Yihan saw that the dishes were quite plentiful, with fish and meat, but she found the meal tasteless.
Shen's mother kicked her son under the table. Zixin looked up and saw Shen's mother gesturing for him to serve food to Gu Yihan.
Helplessly, he picked up a piece of braised pork with his chopsticks and put it in Gu Yihan's bowl, saying, "Comrade Gu, don't be shy, take some food."

After waiting for a while and everyone finished eating, Gu Yihan made an excuse to go back first.
Upon hearing that Gu Yihan was leaving, Mother Shen said, "Zixin, come out and see Xiaohan off."
Gu Yihan quickly refused, "Auntie, no need, I'll go back by myself..."
Before she could finish speaking, Zixin interrupted her, saying, "Let's go, I'll take you."
Zixin escorted Gu Yihan to her doorstep, just as Lin Fang, the neighbor, came out.
"Brother Zixin, what brings you here?" Lin Fang looked at Teacher Shen's younger brother with bright eyes.
Gu Yihan glanced at the two of them, then said to Zixin, "Okay, I'm home."
Gu Yihan quickly closed the door, then pressed her ear against it, listening to the sounds outside.
Lin Fang looked at Zixin in disbelief: "How come you're with her?"
Zixin was worried that Lin Fang would misunderstand, so he stepped forward and hugged her, saying, "She is my sister's student. She came to my house as a guest today. My mother was worried about her, so she asked me to take her home."
Lin Fang finally felt relieved and buried her head in his chest: "Brother Zixin, you are all I have left. If you don't want me, I won't live anymore."
Hearing this, Gu Yihan pursed her lips. This kind of talk can only fool idiots. Are they out of their minds? Looking down, she saw Mao Mao staring at her with its round eyes.
Startled, Gu Yihan immediately put her finger to her lips and whispered a shushing sound, warning herself not to make any noise.
Zixin hugged Lin Fang tenderly, kissed her hair, and said, "Don't worry, I don't want anyone but you."
After listening to a few meaningless words, Gu Yihan carefully shook her head as she walked away. "He's hopelessly in love."
Mao Mao followed her example, shaking his head as he walked. Gu Yihan laughed and scolded, "Silly dog."
