Chapter 40 Going Home
When Gu Yihan stood in front of her house, Mao Mao seemed to sense its owner's presence and barked happily at the door from inside the yard.
After opening the door, Mao Mao excitedly wagged its tail and ran towards her, rubbing its body against her calves. Gu Yihan patted Mao Mao's head.
Gu Yihan glanced at Mao Mao's empty bowl and said, "You must be starving. I'll get you something to eat later."
Gu Yihan returned to her bedroom. Because of the space upgrade, she wanted to try to enter the space with her body. She tried for a while, but her body could not enter the space.
Is this really true?
He took out a fruit and a small bowl of water from his spatial storage, intending to test the fruit and water on the chicken to see if it was poisonous.
Mao Mao has a keen sense of smell. Just as Gu Yihan took out the fruit, it snatched it and ate it without her noticing.

Mao Mao thought its owner was playing with it, so it followed Gu Yihan's lead, lay down on the ground, and exposed its belly.
This amused her: "Silly dog."
She has raised Mao Mao for half a year now. Gu Yihan has watched it grow up little by little, and now it is almost the size of an adult dog.
It never lacked food, and its fur was glossy and shiny.
Gu Yihan mixed the remaining half bowl of water with the wheat bran from the chicken feed, poured it into the chicken trough, and picked out the eggs from the chicken coop.
Thanks to these chickens, the family is laying eggs every day now. Since the chickens started laying eggs, she has never eaten any of the eggs from the space.
Eggs from chickens raised at home are more nutritious.

The sound was coming from the neighbor's house on the right.

Although Gu Yihan didn't see what was used to hit her, she still heard the sound of a heavy object hitting her.

"Bang, bang, bang." The sound of being hit hurt Gu Yihan just hearing it.
Gu Yihan carefully walked out the door, with Mao Mao following closely behind.
"Xiaohan, are you at home? I haven't seen you for several days."
Aunt Wu sat on the bench by the door, smiling at her and waving.
As Gu Yihan walked up to her, Aunt Wu whispered, "Your neighbor on the right hit that girl Lin Fang again."
“You just moved here and don’t know her family situation. That young woman from the Lin family had a difficult childbirth when she gave birth to Lin Fang. She was in labor for a whole day and night before she finally gave birth, which damaged her health.”
"That's because of that girl Lin Fang. She got into high school this year, but they just won't let her go."
After Aunt Wu finished speaking, she sighed and said, "I feel sorry for that child. I heard he had very good grades."

Gu Yihan was completely bewildered by what she heard. After saying goodbye to Aunt Wu, she went home.
Early in the morning, after feeding the cat and chickens at home, Gu Yihan noticed that the chickens were lively and energetic. She knew that the water in the space was drinkable.
Gu Yihan also used the water from her space to cook a pot of porridge. She drank half of it, and Mao Mao drank the other half.
After finishing her meal, she picked up her keys and headed towards the door; she was going to the school to see Teacher Shen today.
Seeing that Gu Yihan was about to leave, Mao Mao hurriedly walked in front of her, "Mao Mao, you stay at home, I'll be back in a bit."
Gu Yihan noticed that Mao Mao had become smarter. It drooped its ears, pretending not to hear, and stood outside the door with its rear end facing her.
Helpless, Gu Yihan grabbed Mao Mao by the ear and said, "If you want to take the tram, the driver won't let dogs on. Go home now, and I'll take you next time we go out."
Mao Mao actually wiggled its chubby bottom and walked back, making whimpering sounds, looking extremely unhappy.

After all, she had never trained it. Was it naturally intelligent, or did it get that intelligence from eating fruit?
I don't want to think about it anymore, I need to get to school quickly.
Just as I locked the door, I turned around and saw two little girls coming out of the Lin family home, one of them wearing a pretty blue dress.

Gu Yihan heard Aunt Wu say that Lin Fang was already 16, but she looked like she was only 13 at most.
"Big sister, why did you instigate Mom to prevent me from going to school?" Lin Fang grabbed her older sister's clothes and questioned her.
Lin Xiaofen flung her sister's hand away: "Get your rough hands off me, or you'll scratch my clothes."
Hearing her older sister say that her hands were rough, Lin Fang curled her fingers and her eyes filled with tears.
"Big sister, please tell Mom to let me go to school, okay?" Her tone was full of humility.
Lin Xiaofen loved watching Lin Fang humbly beg her: "Why do you, a girl, need to study so much? Look at me, I didn't even go to high school, and I'm doing just fine working at the supply and marketing cooperative."
"I've found you a job as a pedicurist in the men's bathhouse. Not everyone can get that job!"
"I don't want to go, I want to go to school!" Lin Fang cried as she ran out of the alley.
Lin Xiaofen glanced at Gu Yihan standing to the side, and when she saw her face, a flash of jealousy appeared in her eyes: "Eavesdropping on people's conversations, what good upbringing."
"Your family is really powerful. Did your family build this road, or do people passing by need your permission?" Gu Yihan wasn't going to put up with her.
