Chapter 137 Dun Dun is clever, his younger brother is clumsy

Dun Dun glanced at the safety lock and then looked away.

He'd seen this before—he had one too, but it's inedible, so DunDun wasn't interested.

Xu Junhui was dumbfounded. In his mind, Dundun should have happily accepted the safety lock and then forgiven him.

As a result, Dun Dun doesn't even want to look at it anymore.

Dundun walked up to Huang Qinqin, pointed at Kang Kang, and said, "Auntie, look~ Little brother isn't ugly anymore~ He's handsome~"

Seeing Xu Junhui still squatting there looking confused, Huang Qinqin kept mouthing to him: "Get some food, get some food for Dundun~"

Xu Junhui understood, so he planned to go out and get some candy and pastries to coax Dundun.

But he muttered to himself: No wonder he's such a chubby little guy, he only cares about food.

Dun Dun didn't hear Huang Qinqin respond to him, and he hugged her leg somewhat unhappily.

She kept shaking him, saying, "Auntie! Why are you ignoring Dundun? Does Auntie not like Dundun anymore?"

"Hmph!"

Huang Qinqin gently pinched his nose and joked, "Are you a little pig? Why are you always grunting?"

"Auntie saw it, my little brother is getting more and more handsome now, but Auntie still thinks Dun Dun is the most handsome."

Dundun cupped her face in her hands and giggled, "Auntie is the prettiest~ But Dundun is pretty too!"

Dundun tugged at Huang Qinqin's clothes, signaling her to lower her head.

Huang Qinqin lowered her head in cooperation, and Dundun leaned close to her ear and whispered in her ear at a volume he thought was very quiet, but which everyone in the room could actually hear.

"Auntie, let me tell you, my little brother is incredibly lazy! He never gets out of bed; he just lies there all day, eating and sleeping, then eating again!"

"DunDun is very well-behaved; he accompanies his great-grandmother to chores every day."

"That's because your little brother is still small. He'll get out of bed when he's older. Look, he can't walk yet."

Dun Dun nodded, thought quietly for a while, and came to a conclusion: "Dun Dun understands, my brother is not lazy."

Huang Qinqin was relieved; it seemed that Dundun had finally understood.

Then, the next second, DunDun said to her, "Little brother is so clumsy~ He can't even walk properly!"

Huang Qinqin sighed, unsure how to explain it to Dundun.

Grandma Huang doesn't have that much patience, and Dundun, I don't know who he takes after, is always bursting with self-confidence.

“You were over a year old when you started walking, how can you say your little brother is stupid? He’s only a month old now.”

Dun Dun doesn't really distinguish between one year old and one month old. In his understanding, they are all the same, so they are all the same.

Despite her lack of confidence, she said, "That's right! Dundun could walk when she was one year old, but her younger brother couldn't walk even at one month old."

"They're both one, so... so Dun Dun is smart~ Little brother is silly!"

Everyone was amused by Dun Dun's childish words.

Xu Junhui came in with the food again and saw a group of adults laughing, and Dundun looking very proud.

This time, Xu Junhui was particularly well-prepared, bringing not only milk candy but also several kinds of pastries that were only sold in department stores.

He felt confident that he could appease Dundun this time.

"DunDun~ Look what your uncle brought you!"

Xu Junhui was holding a tray full of delicious food, many of which Dundun had never seen before.

Dun Dun's mouth began to wriggle uncontrollably, and his little hands stirred around. His eyes were fixed longingly on the tray; he was practically drooling.

Xu Junhui pretended not to see the longing in Dundun's eyes and said in a low voice, "Is Dundun willing to forgive his uncle? His uncle knows he was wrong."

After saying that, he mischievously moved the tray up, down, left, and right, and Dun Dun's gaze followed his movements.

Huang Qinqin glared at Dun Dun, who was almost dizzy from being shaken around.

Xu Junhui coughed awkwardly twice, then obediently peeled open a White Rabbit milk candy and fed it to Dundun's mouth.

With a loud "woof," Dun Dun popped the candy into its mouth.

Tasting the rich, milky flavor, Dundun closed his eyes and swung his legs in blissful contentment. He looked incredibly happy!

After a while, Dundun generously said, "Dundun, I'll accept you!"

Then, greedily, he tried to stuff the food on the tray into his own arms.

Huang Qinqin was worried that he would get his clothes dirty, so she discussed with Dundun, "Dundun, how about Auntie asks Grandma to put them away for you?"

"When Dundun wants to eat, ask Grandma to get it for you."

Jiang Cuihua chimed in, "Yes, Grandma will put it away for Dundun."

Dun Dun, however, was reluctant, pouting and saying, "The mouse stole it! Bad!"

Ah, this...

Because Huang Qinqin would bring Dundun candy every month when she came back, the family was afraid that Dundun would eat too much at once, so they would tell Dundun every time that the candy they had put away for him had been stolen by mice.

Dundun always felt that his parents were lying to him, but he was too young to figure out what was wrong.

So over the past six months, it has become increasingly difficult to coax food out of Dun Dun.

Jiang Cuihua said somewhat awkwardly, "Grandma will definitely keep a close eye on things this time. I promise I won't let the 'rat' steal Dundun's things again. Dundun, trust Grandma, okay?"

"Alright then~"

Although she agreed, Dun Dun still clung tightly to the tray. Having no other choice, Huang Qinqin had to pretend to say, "Dun Dun, look, your little brother seems to be calling you!"

As expected, Dun Dun's attention was diverted by Huang Qinqin's words, and Jiang Cuihua took the things away as soon as Dun Dun was not paying attention.

Dundun lay down next to Kang Kang, stretched out his chubby little hand, gently poked his cheek, and asked, "Little brother~ are you calling me?"

"Hmm? Why aren't you saying anything? Little brother, did you call me?"

Kang Kang: ...Do I look like I can talk?

Kang Kang frowned and reached out to try to push Dun Dun's hand away, but Dun Dun thought Kang Kang wanted to play with him.

He put one finger into Kang Kang's palm, and Kang Kang immediately gripped his hand tightly.

When Dun Dun tried to take it out, he found that he couldn't.

"My little brother is so strong! He can't get his hand out of his mouth!" she exclaimed in surprise.

Indeed, babies a few months old usually hold onto anything they're holding very firmly.

Huang Qinqin had been caught by Dundun before. She wanted to pry open his fingers one by one, just like Dundun is doing now.

But all of them failed.

Dun Dun focused intently on prying open Kang Kang's fingers, managing to pry open four in a row. When only one remained, Kang Kang suddenly clenched his fist again.

Dundun thought he was about to succeed, but unexpectedly Kang Kang grabbed him again.

"Waaah, Auntie~ Second Auntie~ Please save Dundun's hands~"
