The next morning, after having breakfast, Huang Qinqin and the others went to find the abbot from the previous day.
To be honest, Huang Qinqin was quite nervous.
She felt that the abbot's gaze towards them yesterday was a little strange.
But she couldn't quite put her finger on what was strange about it.
When the abbot saw Huang Qinqin and the others coming over, he poured them a glass of water.
After staring at them for a few minutes, the abbot suddenly asked, "You should have three children."
"You have another child, did he die shortly after birth?"
Huang Qinqin: ? ? ? !
"No, I only had two pregnancies, and only two children."
The abbot carefully examined her birth chart and felt even more puzzled.
Huang Qinqin clearly has three children, and they should already be born.
However, since Huang Qinqin said she didn't, let's just assume she didn't.
"I might be mistaken. It should be that you may have another child in the future."
The abbot didn't intend to speak to Huang Qinqin in a roundabout way; he planned to get straight to the point.
"That's right, the main reason I called you all here today is because your destinies are all quite strange."
"Your original destiny was very good; you should have had a smooth and peaceful life, and your family should have been happy and fulfilled."
"Your family members who died young should have all died of old age, not young."
“I consulted my master last night, and he said that your fate has probably been altered by someone.”
"Someone peeked into the secrets of heaven and forcibly plundered your fortune, causing your life to become extremely difficult."
Hearing the abbot's words, Huang Qinqin felt a mix of emotions.
Even if we know that her luck has been stolen, so what?
Her family, and Xu Junhui's family, have all passed away.
The abbot seemed to have noticed what Huang Qinqin was thinking.
He began to explain, "They won't let this go."
"As long as you are alive, they will continue to harass you."
"So, do you want to reclaim your fortune and then fix everything?"
Huang Qinqin looked at the abbot, seemingly wanting to confirm whether he was joking.
Then she tentatively asked, "If everything is corrected, can my parents come back to life?"
The abbot shook his head: "I'm sorry, the dead cannot be brought back to life."
"If you want to fix it, I can provide you with a method, but I can't guarantee it will work."
"After your destiny is corrected, the things that happened in the past cannot be changed."
"But those who steal your fortune will suffer the consequences."
Everything that originally belonged to you will come back. Do you want to give it a try?
The abbot's words sounded like he was lying.
But then Huang Qinqin thought again, what do I have left that would make others want to deceive me?
So she decided to give it a try!
The abbot was not surprised at all by her decision.
He gave Huang Qinqin a notebook and asked her to write down everything that happened after they got married, especially things about her and her family.
Then he had her take the notebook with him to the back mountain of Yunyin Temple.
The abbot pointed to the towering steps in front of Huang Qinqin and said, "Go."
"Take one step and bow once, take three steps and pray once. With each kneel, silently pray in your heart, 'Give me back my good fortune.'"
"When can I stop? Can I stop as soon as I reach the top?"
The abbot shook his head: "Don't worry about it, just keep walking."
"We will take care of your two children for now, so you can go in peace."
The abbot did not explain to Huang Qinqin that there was no end to this staircase.
Those destined to be together will naturally reach where she is meant to be.
Those who are not destined to be together should walk a few steps forward, and they will see a cliff.
......
Following the abbot's instructions, Huang Qinqin bowed with each step, and then silently recited "Give me back my good fortune" with each step.
She didn't remember how long she had walked; all she knew was that her hands, knees, and forehead were all scraped and bleeding.
But she persisted.
Finally, Huang Qinqin heard a sigh.
"Hey, look up."
Huang Qinqin looked up and found that in front of her was actually herself from eight years ago.
wrong!
She saw the scene of her wedding to Xu Junhui eight years ago!
Just as she was wondering, the voice in her ear rang again.
"What you see could be the you from eight years ago, or it could be the you from a parallel universe."
"After they fall asleep at night, you can read aloud the contents of the notebook in your hand."
"But remember, you must not let her find out that she wrote this notebook herself."
"As for how to modify it to make her alert without letting her discover your identity, that depends on your own luck."
Huang Qinqin wanted to ask more questions, but no matter how she called out, the voice never appeared again.
She could only trust the voice she had just heard and race against time to rewrite her experiences of the past few years into a novel.
Then, after she fell asleep, she immediately opened the storybook, ready to read it aloud.
But before she could even begin reading, she discovered that her storybook had appeared in another version of her dream.
So Huang Qinqin started turning the pages of the notebook directly, letting her dream self see what she had written.
After seeing another version of themselves awakened by a nightmare, they then worked through the night to dispose of the Little Red Book and Xu Hongxia's foreign language books.
