"Oh dear, I forgot the important matter. Are any of you able to leave the island soon, return to the city, or make other arrangements?"
"No, it's unlikely to happen in three to five years."
They were all representatives of their families, sent to the countryside on behalf of their households. Therefore, they received a considerable amount of packages and some cash each month. They knew perfectly well that they couldn't go back anytime soon, nor did they want to; they were quite content here.
"Then I'm relieved!"
Han Weidong gritted his teeth inwardly. Liu Jiu Niang's words were too infuriating. They couldn't go back, so what was there for her to be worried about? Was she really gloating?
"I have something to tell you all, think it over. I'm thinking of setting up a cooperative for artificial seaweed cultivation, and I'd like to include a few of you. Are you interested?"
