When Bao Ni and her two friends arrived at the military base, they were looking for Gu Ye. Luckily, Gu Ye hadn't gone out and came out soon.
"Baoni, what's wrong?" Gu Ye looked at the three of them.
"I have something to tell you. Let's find a place." Bonnie lowered her voice, unsure if Qi Meifeng had any accomplices.
Gu Ye led the group to a spot not far from the main gate, where the view was open and no one would eavesdrop.
“We followed Qi Meifeng today and found that she met with someone. That person asked her to complete some task so that she could leave for the other side. We don’t know what the task is, and we didn’t see the person who met her. Han Weidong said it was a man in his thirties.”
Bonnie told them everything she knew, but they still had no clue what to do and were at a loss.
"Judging from his voice, he's a man in his early thirties. His breathing is steady, so he must have practiced." Han Weidong has good hearing and heard clearly.
Gu Ye knew this was serious; they had some information, and it seemed they were up to something. He didn't have time to criticize Lin Baoni. Fortunately, this time they hadn't acted alone and had found two helpers.
"The three of you should stop worrying about this. We'll take care of it. Especially you, Lin Baoni, don't act rashly. The danger of this matter is beyond your ability to handle," Gu Ye solemnly instructed. There was no room for discussion.
"I know what's important. Let's pretend we don't know anything about this. Alright, we're going back now. You can go do whatever you need to do." Bao Ni and Han Weidong left; she still had to pick up her child.
"Han Weidong, you two keep this a secret and don't mention it to anyone. Be careful to keep it confidential," Bonnie reminded her again, understanding the importance of the matter.
"Don't worry, Sister Baoni, we've known about confidentiality rules since we were little," Han Weidong and his companion assured each other before parting ways with Sister Baoni.
After picking up her child, Bonnie returned home and decided to stay in the family compound for the time being.
Gu Ye returned to his office and discussed the information provided by Bao Ni and the others in a low voice with Political Commissar Zhai. After discussing it for a while, the two went to find Commander Yang. This matter needed to be considered in detail.
"Commander, this matches the information we received. Eagle has escaped, but his henchmen are still active, trying to do something. We just haven't found out what they're up to or how many there are."
Gu Ye and his team have been trying to catch this eagle for a long time, but they haven't succeeded. They don't know if the eagle has returned or if it was orchestrated by his subordinates.
"This time we will definitely wipe them out in one fell swoop. During this period, Gu Ye, you will not be on any sea missions. Your Second Regiment will be in charge of this matter. You must ensure the safety of the people and catch these maggots as soon as possible and eliminate them completely."
Commander Yang gave the order, and he still had to report to the fleet. He didn't know what they were planning to do, so he had to be on guard.
Gu Ye and Political Commissar Zhai returned to their office and took out Qi Meifeng's information to study it, looking for any details they had overlooked.
Gu Ye looked at the information, which contained all of Qi Meifeng's details.
Her biological father died before she was born, and her mother remarried a few months after her birth, marrying her current husband. Qi Meifeng's life is neither good nor bad.
Her stepfather's family treated her well, and she got along well with her mother's younger siblings. She married at twenty, and gave birth to a daughter two years later. Her husband later fell ill and passed away, and she raised her child alone until she married Political Commissar Wang.
The data is normal; there are no obvious flaws.
Gu Ye and his men were making preparations in secret, while Bao Ni stayed at home in the family compound, rarely going out. She also didn't deliberately approach Qi Meifeng. Gu Ye was right; this was not something she could handle. They didn't know how many people there were or whether they had weapons.
Bonnie has a family and children now, so she needs to be careful and not put herself in danger.
These past few days, Bonnie has felt that time is passing slowly, as if it has been paused.
There was no progress with Gu Ye either. They were completely confused, not knowing where the enemy was or what they were doing.
A new day has begun. After Bonnie and the others finished breakfast, Gu Ye went to work, Bonnie stayed home tidying up, and Liu Jiu took San Qi out to play.
After washing the clothes, I also washed the blankets; the sun was almost directly overhead.
Liu Jiu and San Qi had been gone for quite some time, and Bao Ni was a little worried and anxious. She dried her hands and went out to look for the children.
Bonnie went to the playground first, where the children played most of the time. Before she even got close, she heard a commotion.
Bonnie instinctively ran in that direction; she sensed something was wrong.
"Six-Nine, Three-Seven, where are you?" Bonnie called out as she ran, her heart pounding.
"Six nine, three seven..."
"Mom, we're here!" Liu Jiu pulled San Qi over, her face flushed, but there was nothing wrong with her.
"Liu Jiu, what's wrong?"
"Mom, I don't know what happened? We were playing and suddenly Tie Dan and the others collapsed on the ground, foaming at the mouth. We didn't know what to do. Then that strange aunt called Tie Dan's mom and told us to go find Tie Dan's dad and the others."
Liu Jiu spoke clearly and articulately.
"Strange auntie, strange auntie, isn't that Qi Meifeng? Could it be that their mission today is something else?" Bonnie's heart was pounding.
"Six or nine, did the strange aunt give you anything to eat?" Bonnie trembled slightly, her heart pounding with anxiety.
"Mom, I don't know. When Sanqi and I arrived, Tiedan and the others had already been playing for half a day."
Liu Jiu and San Qi arrived late today; everyone else was already playing when they got there.
"Mom, I know." Sanqi took out a few candy wrappers and handed them to Baoni.
“I found it on the ground over there.” Bonnie took the candy wrapper; she roughly understood that the children might have been poisoned.
Tie Dan and the others were still unconscious, and those who went to the army to look for people had not returned. Bao Ni knew that this was the chaos they had created, and she didn't know what to do next.
"Sisters, stop crying! Quickly take the children to the hospital; they might be poisoned."
Bonnie yelled, waking up the women in the chaos. They carried their children on their backs and ran towards the military hospital outside the family compound.
Bonnie has to go too, and show the candy wrapper to the doctor. I don't know if they can find out what kind of poison it is.
Bonnie was worried about the two children, so she took Liu Jiu and San Qi with her, carrying them on her back and in her arms.
The sister-in-law, who went to the military base to find someone, told them what had happened. The military base didn't know what was going on either, and the atmosphere seemed very tense.
When Bonnie and the others arrived at the hospital, they explained the situation to the doctor. About ten children were taken for examination. Bonnie also gave the candy wrapper to the doctor and explained the situation.
Bonnie sent her child to her parents' home. She felt it wasn't safe at the hospital either, as there were too many people and things could go wrong. She was afraid her child would be in danger.
Bonnie told her mother what was going on, and Bonnie's mother understood the seriousness of the matter. She said that she would let the children play at home and not go out, and since Da Bao and Er Bao were there too.
Bonnie gave a few more instructions and rushed back to the hospital. Qi Meifeng was also there; this time, she couldn't escape.
