After Sanqi finished eating, she walked around the area, occasionally handing Erbao a skewer of grilled meat.
Gu Xuanyi, who had been crying, perked up and sat by the campfire, eating skewers, drinking water, and looking up at the starry sky. He thought to himself, "This is pretty good."
Bonnie's yard was bustling with activity. The children, having eaten and drunk their fill, gathered around the bonfire, singing and playing harmonicas. If the harmonicas were replaced with accordions, the atmosphere would be even more festive!
What Bonnie didn't know was that the aroma of her family's grilled skewers had gotten the neighbor's kid beaten up.
The family to the left of the new house seems to have taken leave to visit relatives and gone back to their hometown; I haven't seen them since. The family to the right, I think it's a family of four—two adults with a boy and a girl—I vaguely remember seeing them once.
I've been busy tidying up these past few days and haven't had time to find out who lives there. I only saw the lady of the house once from afar; she looked like a haughty little hen with her head held high, and Bonnie's first impression of her wasn't very good.
Gu Ye has to go to work tomorrow, and the family compound can't be too noisy too late. The children have been traveling for several days and need to rest.

Han Weidong and his group left with Da Bao and Er Bao. Gu Xuanyu told the younger children to go wash up. Bao Ni and Gu Ye were washing dishes in the kitchen. There were no disposable plates at this time, and there were more than ten people, so there were quite a few bowls and chopsticks.
