Chapter 246 A Group of Like-Minded People

Gu Yun Chu became famous overnight. After being a nobody for ten days to half a month, many people now know that there is a Gu Yun Chu in the third grade who is very good at fighting. Some people even came to meet him.

That evening, Bonnie asked Liu Jiu about the specific reason for the fight. She had only heard the gist of it during the day because the other parent was so magnanimous that she hadn't had time to ask for details.

"I'll talk, I'll talk," Sanqi interrupted before Liujiu could even speak.

"Okay, go ahead and tell me. It seems to have something to do with you."

Bonnie remembered that the fight started because the younger children got into a fight and then called on their older siblings.

“A chubby boy in my class got angry because Meimei liked to play with me. He said I looked like a girl because my clothes were too clean, and he even pushed me. We started fighting. I couldn’t beat the two of them, so I said I would go find my sister. He went to find his brother, and he didn’t know any martial arts. Two of them came, and in the end, my sister beat him up.”

Five-year-old Sanqi speaks fluently and clearly, even with expressive gestures.

Who is Meimei?

"The prettiest girl in my class!" When Sanqi arrived, her clean and tidy appearance was quite endearing.

"Alright, be more careful next time. Don't hit someone in the face, understand, Liu Jiu?"

"Okay, Mom." Liu Jiu made a mistake this time. He was fighting two against one, and he didn't care about anything else. He only thought about winning.

"Sanqi, starting tomorrow, get up early and do morning exercises with us. The only way to succeed is to become stronger yourself. You can't rely on your sister forever."

"Mom, I'm smart. I don't fight with people who are all brawn and no brains." Sanqi bargained, not wanting to go for her morning exercise and work up a sweat.

"So what if you're physically strong? In a critical moment, physical strength can save your life. No matter how smart you are, you'll only get beaten up in a critical moment. Don't struggle, this is settled."

Bonnie made the final decision, ignoring Sanqi's struggles.

"Sanqi, you're the coach. It's embarrassing if you always go to your older sister when you get into a fight."

"Why do I have to fight if I just don't fight?" Sanqi didn't understand why they had to fight.

"Think about it, with your sharp tongue, won't you incur public wrath?" Liu Jiu shook her head and left, leaving San Qi pacing around with her hands behind her back, pondering her mother and sister's words.

The next morning, Bonnie and Liu Jiu got up on time and pulled Sanqi out of bed as well. The three of them ran to the playground and started their morning exercise.

The military family compound was crowded with people doing morning exercises, mostly children of all ages. Liu Jiu and San Qi were the youngest. Bonnie led San Qi in warm-up exercises, while Liu Jiu, already used to it, went through the routine on his own without needing anyone's help.

"Mom, how many meters do I have to run? I hope I won't run the same distance as my sister."

Sanqi's voice trembled; he was going to die.

"No need, just run 1,000 meters. Increase the distance as you get used to it."

After getting warmed up, Sanqi ran slowly behind her mother, while Baoni slowed down considerably. It was the first day, so there was no rush.

Whose house is this?

Among the people exercising over there were also unofficial military officers, who looked at Bonnie and her two children with a somewhat unfamiliar expression.

"I don't know them, they must be new here." The people doing their morning exercise with them also didn't recognize Bonnie and the others.

"That's the family member of Commander Gu, the new brigade commander in the special operations brigade. That young lady is very capable. She beat my son and the Li family's son to a pulp in one-on-one."

The one speaking is the father of the boy who fought with Bonnie yesterday.

"Old Zhou, are you serious? You can't be. Your son is quite good among his peers, and the Li family's son isn't bad either. How could he get beaten up by a little girl? Shouldn't you have let her win?"

The person speaking was Zhou Jianguo's neighbor and knew about Haiyang's fighting skills.

"No, I asked him. He and Xiaoshan didn't take the girl seriously at first, but when they got angry, they didn't care anymore. As a result, they were beaten up and their faces turned blue."

Zhou Jianguo looked up at the little girl running laps on the playground. His son had just pointed her out to him and excitedly told him that it was that little girl who had beaten him and Li Xiaoshan.

He was quite surprised to see a large group of adults and two children walking towards him from a distance, since his wife had said yesterday that the woman who had fought with his son was Commander Gu's daughter.

Most importantly, it was emphasized that Brigade Commander Gu's wife is a very good person.

Zhou Jianguo knew his wife well; she was straightforward and didn't mince words, so there weren't many people she got along with in the residential compound. She had offended people without even realizing it, and didn't understand why they were ignoring her.

"That's impressive. I heard that Brigade Commander Gu is quite capable too. He's only been here a short time, but he's already managed to subdue most of the people. You can't handle those people in the Special Operations Brigade without some ability."

The group of men who had started the activity also began their morning exercise. They couldn't just stay together and gossip all the time; that would be disrespectful.

After finishing her morning exercise, Bonnie took her two children to the cafeteria for lunch. Little did she know that she and her children had become the talk of the town on the playground; everyone was discussing them.

After the children went to school, Bonnie tidied up the house and fed the chicks. The ten chicks had grown quite a bit and had shed their downy feathers; they were no longer the yellowish little fluffy balls they used to be.

The vegetable garden in the yard is also very pleasing. Lettuce, spinach, rapeseed, bok choy, cucumber, eggplant... Bonnie planted a little of each. She doesn't know if they will flower and bear fruit at this time of year, but she'll give it a try. Judging from the temperature, it should be fine.

"Is Lin, the young lady, home?"

Having just washed her hands, Bonnie saw her new friend approaching from a distance.

"I'm home, come in quickly."

The two women who came were Qu Hong and Su Mo, whom I met yesterday; they are the mothers of two boys.
