However, Gu Ye has been ruthless in fights since he was a child, fearless of anyone, big or small, which makes many people think he is too cruel and keep their distance from him.
Gu Ye didn't exchange pleasantries with anyone and went straight to his older brother's house with Bao Ni.

"Baoni really likes children, you two should have one too," Aunt Gu started urging them to have a baby.
“Baoni’s son is about the same age as Xuanyu, and Baoni spends more time with him. We’re not in a hurry, we’ll let nature take its course. Baoni is still young, it’s safer to wait a couple of years.” Gu Ye knew that it was dangerous for a woman to give birth too young.
"That's true, Bonnie looks so childish and young." The contrast is striking, considering Bonnie's incredibly sharp and witty comebacks despite her childlike face.
Bonnie had no idea that Sister-in-law Gu was pressuring her to have a baby. She was having a great time playing with Xuanyu and even saw his collection of toys, including a tank made from bullet casings. Bonnie loved it back then, but Lao Jiang didn't have time to make it for her.
"Gu Ye, can you make me a tank like this too?" Bonnie ran up to Gu Ye, holding Xuan Yu's tank.
Seeing Bonnie staring at him with bright, sparkling eyes, Gu Ye nodded unconsciously.
"Xuanyu, I want a tank too!" Bonnie grabbed Xuanyu and ran off again.
This made Sister-in-law Gu chuckle.
That evening, Brother Gu returned home, and Gu Ye showcased his culinary skills, leaving Brother Gu and his wife utterly astonished. It turned out that Bao Ni wasn't exaggerating; Gu Ye truly had a talent for cooking!
