Chapter 354 The House Is Getting Promising

The courtyard is about 100 square meters, not very big. It has running water but no sewage. There is a public toilet nearby.

Liu Zi explained the basic information about the house to see if Sister Gu was interested.

"Sounds pretty good. Can it be transferred to the owner? Is no one living there?"

Bonnie didn't want a lot of mess, otherwise she would have bought a house long ago.

"It can be transferred. The homeowner is a university teacher who was exonerated. He has a house in the university's staff quarters, and this house holds too many memories for him. He doesn't want it anymore."

I inquired and found out there was nothing serious; it was just that the couple had been sent to the countryside together, but the wife hadn't returned, and he didn't want to be reminded of her by seeing familiar things.

Bonnie immediately understood what was going on; such situations had been quite common over those ten years.

"Okay, let me see."

The two talked as they walked, and soon they arrived.

Liu Zi took out the key; he had been entrusted with selling the house and had the key in his possession.

Pushing open the gate, Bonnie saw the entire courtyard.

The brick and tile house, although it looks old, has not fallen into disrepair.

The house must have been lived in before, but it wasn't damaged and is very clean.

Who lived in this house before?

“This area was previously rented to the nearby Public Security Bureau as their temporary dormitory, and it was only recently made available.”

Bonnie had a hunch: there were signs that someone had lived in the house, but there were no messy structures in the yard, which didn't make sense.

Most of the houses Bonnie had seen before had illegal structures in their yards, turning perfectly good yards into a mess.

Bonnie wandered around for a bit; the yard wasn't big, so it was pretty much a one-size-fits-all place.

The main house has six rooms, each over 20 square meters, which is smaller than the one she rented out.

There are six side rooms, three on the east and three on the west, four of which are habitable, and the remaining two are the kitchen and the storeroom.

Liu Zi opened the door to the main room, and Bonnie looked through each room. They were empty, with nothing there. Fortunately, the walls were clean and there were no signs of leaks, so they must have been repaired.

"Liu Zi, I'm quite satisfied with the house. How much did it cost?"

"Sister-in-law, the landlord has a fixed price of ten thousand yuan, no bargaining."

Liu Zi is the middleman; he can only convey opinions.

"Ten thousand yuan, and you're not even going to negotiate?"

"I won't go into details. Someone had their eye on it before and offered 9,500, but I didn't sell it. So, it's a fixed price."

Liu Zi was helpless; there was no room for negotiation with the landlord.

"Okay, contact the homeowner and find a convenient time to transfer the property."

Bonnie has her eye on it. Such a hassle-free house is hard to come by; once it's gone, it's gone forever.

After making an appointment with Liu Zi, who was to let her know once he had made a decision, Bonnie took a car home.

Bonnie thought that if she bought another courtyard house, she wouldn't have to worry anymore. She could collect rent from it in the future. That was all she and Gu Ye had prepared for their two children.
